Me and a group of friends rented two teepees for the weekend. We must of picked a busy weekend because there was a large group there as well. All went well the first night, but the second night there was a rowdy teepee full of kids that didn't understand quiet time, LOL. It was funny when another person yelled out to them to be quiet. Just wanted to put that in here so you are aware that the teepees are fun but you hear everything. So if you are a light sleeper, you might want to go the cabin... Read More

The bed was comfortable and they stayed pretty cool during the day (probably because of all the trees). Our site was pretty dusty and there wasn't any grass around. The bathrooms were clean but the toilets weren't very powerful and you had to hold the handle down to ensure a complete flush. Showers were awesome with lots of good pressure. Kids loved the bounce pillow and the huge pool. The setting is beautiful with the trees and peaccks. Everyone had a great time and we'll be back!

Hello RVers... I had the pleasure of staying with Ventura Ranch KOA for about 6 months as a monthly resident. It was a great place to stay. The rate was very reasonable, and it was an easy commute into Ventura for business. Even though affected by the Thomas fire, the camp is still lush with trees, so I found plenty of shade. Even had a nice patch of grass, a fire pit, and picnic table in my space. The staff are just the nicest, most helpful folks you will ever find. I felt so welcome... Read More

Even though affected by the Thomas fire, the camp is still lush with trees, so I found plenty of shade. Even had a nice patch of grass, a fire pit, and picnic table in my space. The staff are just the nicest, most helpful folks you will ever find. I felt so welcome and appreciated. And my neighbors were respectful and considerate. Not once in the 6 months was I ever disturbed by noise or any other source of irritation.
The area is very scenic, there are so many amenities for campers and their kids. The pool area is large and beautiful. And the 'pea-birds' were wonderful. I'd guess about 20-30 meandering peacefully about the park. I often had one or two come check me out while sitting outside my RV. They are both beautiful and hilarious.
This is a gem of a campground in the beautiful Santa Paula foothills where you will feel safe and relaxed, and find peace and all the benefits of RV, or tent camping. And their new cabanas for rent look wonderful! Brand new, top of the line, and most with a view of the canyon.
As they continue to recover from the fire, the campground will get even better. But I had the best time possible, just the way it was.
I will definitely return whenever visiting the area.
PS. I tried other local RV parks, but Ventura KOA was so much better in terms of management, neighbors, value, peace, quiet and safety.

The recent Thomas Fire destroyed much of this RV Resort, but they're open for business. We spent just one night here passing thru and I enjoyed it. They are out in what seems like the middle of nowhere, in a beautiful mountain valley. Our RV site was not very level, I needed leveling blocks. Scenery, not affected by fire, is awesome. They DO NOT have all the amenities they used to have, but what they do have is fine for me. Call Before Going to see if they have the amenities you want.
