Cute Little Campground great for an overnight stay.
the pics look alot better than actually is. wifi was spotty at best, cable was not working(parts on order they said) Glad we only had a 1 nighter as we were just passing thru.
We stayed a week and this park was average, it had a rule posted and reiterated verbally during check-in, "there had to be 10 feet between your slide outs and your neighbors slides or the City had the ability to fine you". They said it was not there rule but a city rule. I thought this was easy but after setting up measuring it was difficult to adhere to this 10 foot rule. No pool, cable was sketchy as was the tv antenna, no dog park but the park had nice grass to walk the dog anywhere, just pick up your poop (not everyone did). The park would be quiet except for the many full time residents with loud motorcycles and cars with bad mufflers that come and go early in the morning and late at night. Lots of full time residents and travelers that stay one night. We did not use the bathrooms or laundry but thought they were clean, the park does offer a daily coffee, pastry, and fruit for breakfast. Overall good stay.

The staff was very friendly and informed. The grounds were very clean and well tended. Lots of mature trees for shade. We didn't use the restroom or laundry facilities but they appeared to be sell maintained.
VERY nice folks working the check in desk. Park is OK, nothing special, sites were gravel/dirt and not well leveled but we managed. Probably would not visit again...
Quiet and peaceful just like they advertised. People couldn't be any nicer or friendlier-on the phone or in person. Easy access off Highway 40. Very convenient. Our spot was ready and accessible after business hours.
We camped here in a 40 ft motorhome pulling a tow.The management was very friendly. The entrance to the actual campsites is a tight right turn just past the office door and trash dumpster. The roads are OK but the exit is not marked. Our pull through was level but neighbors were close, barely enough room for the slides. Upon leaving, we had to turn sharp to the right to prevent from entering the office sidewalk and hope to miss the dumpster. As previously stated, once we turned back into the camping... Read More

Passing through, all good here.
We love this quaint spot. It is clean and peaceful. The restrooms are clean and there are good restaurants close by!
We are from Florida and are traveling the Route 66 (cause my husband wants too) and we researched Good Sams parks cause we knew they had great reviews yearly. I can not wait to come back to this RV park, and next time we will be extending our stay!!!

We stumbled upon this RV Park traveling thru to Las Vegas and fell in love instantly. The girls in the office made us feel very welcome and helped us hook up and level our trailer. After we got settled in, we got to go look at the new remodeled clubhouse. Let me just say this clubhouse is outstanding!!! It brought back so many memories from when I was a kid back in the 60's. We look forward to re-visiting this RV park.
I'm not sure what the other reviews are about with this park...we were very pleased with our stay, and found the other RV-ers and employees to be very friendly and respectful. The bathrooms and showers were all very clean and there weren't any broken toilet paper covers or whatever. We were by the building with the showers and bathrooms, toward the back and we saw employees cleaning it every single day. We could see why their restrooms were rated so high here on Good Sam. We had to go East on I-40 when we left, and we had no trouble with the detour they gave us. We didn't see a 7 ton bridge, and we made it to the interstate without issue. We will definitely stay here again! From California, to the Carolinas, it's one of the nicest, cleanest, affordable, and welcoming RV parks we have been to.

A word of caution. They are working on the intersection for the interstate near the campground. The eastbound ramp was closed. The campground suggested we take an alternative route. The route they suggested put us on a bridge that was rated at 7 tons - we have a 20 ton motorhome!. Since we could not turn around we held our breadth and made it across. The bridge held but I would not recommend this route.

This facility was very pleasant. The bathrooms were clean and had a handicap accessible bathroom stall (which I really enjoy) The office staff kept me close to the office and had a maintenance guy come help me hook up. I will be returning hopefully for a longer stay in a few months.
Was easy access off the interstate. Easy pull thru sites. There were a few eating places to walk to. Park was about 1/3 full. The website said shaded and showed trees... we had no shade or tree near us, despite the space available in the park. We had No picnic table, many others did. We arrived without a reservation due to an issue with our truck which forced us to exit in Elk City. We were welcomed into the park with open arms. The site is very conveniently located, staff is friendly and helpful, and the pull through site was easy to access. If we are headed this way in the future, Elk City RV Park will be on our radar.
I don't recommend this park. The campground was less than half filled when we arrived but we were assigned a campsite in an unshaded back row filled with other units, there was no attempt to offer a space between trailers or a site next to a tree. Through the 2 nights we were there the park remained less than half full with well separated and shaded sites available throughout our stay. Through the 2 nights we were there the park remained less than half full with well separated and shaded sites available throughout our stay. The sites are so close together that you are warned that the city will ticket you if your trailer is within 10' of the trailer beside you, that includes slide-outs. Washrooms are clean but showing their age, make sure you check for toilet paper before use, they seem to ration it and I had to let the office know they had run out of toilet paper and paper towels. The only washroom open after 6:00 pm is at the office, the other is closed from 6:00 pm - 8:00 am. The sites are very long and level but muddy (they had rain before our visit and mud puddles remained throughout 2 day of hot sun). The sites also do not have picnic tables, even if they did there is no room for them beside your trailer. Very poor, slow and intermittent WiFi connection. There is a sign in the office that they will help you write a good campground review and reward you with a bag of candy, I felt an honest review was more important than free candy.

Very convenient on our quest for the west road trip. Every thing was super neat & well organized. Staff is friendly and accommodated our late arrival. Showers & restrooms were clean and in sufficient number for the campground size. Campground was very quiet so we could rest up for the next leg of our trip.
Great experience, clean restrooms, great WIFI, great cable networks and channels. Will be back! Thank you so much for helping us find a repair shop to get our rig serviced!
Great overnight sites, Manager had problems with a campers dogs barking all night . Hopefully they will get a handle on that in the future. Would stop again for a overnight stay
Very friendly staff. Easy on/off I40. Sites are well maintained. Picnic tables could use a coat of paint but that was a minor issue.
Very friendly ladies in the office. Weve been here for 2 months and haven't had any trouble. Keep the park clean and quiet.

This is a very nice park. Convenient off and on highway exits. All pull thru sites with picnic tables and full hook ups. WiFi worked good at our site and they have sites with no trees for satellite. We definitely will stay here again! Thanks girls for helping get our propane tanks refilled.
Very well maintained RV park and sites. Well maintained hookups. The office staff were professional, courteous and helpful. Great large club house right next to the office and sauna. Pool tables and book exchange was dandy. Bathrooms/showers and laundry facilities are very clean and fresh smelling. We stayed for 3 days and will return on our way back thru.

The staff was very friendly and went out of there way to help out. They have a great club house that is available for use during office hours. I was able to play several games of pool and used the book exchange to change out my reading material. The fact that this park is near the interstate with easy on and off is also a big benefit.
Customer service was great, we had a extended check out time due to our tires. Talked to the girls in the office and they were so helpful. Bathrooms were superb, and easy to find from the highway 40. Highly recommended park with beautiful spaces and trees!
Nice little over night stop. Easy in and out, close to I 40. Good showers. Nice people.

We spent a week in this charming town in a motor home.

Didn't use showers due to location and the several dogs tied to campers and left alone. I travel with dogs but wouldn't leave them out and they were pit mixes not knowing the dogs I tread lightly. The people next to us tied their poor dog up till late at night it was a mix but sweet...the dumpster was open and overflowing... I have stayed in crappy parks but knew it going in by the rating....I think Good Sam has an obligation to reassess and change the rating to a more accurate number....

We have stayed here several times as it is a convenient place to stop on our normal RV route. Each time we ask for a satellite site the site we get cannot get Directv if your dish is up front. So we end up trying to stay in a 30 amp pull through trying to stay cool with one A/C. This time the site we were promised was given away even though we got there before office closed. Not a bad stopover if you don't watch tv and are just camping. We won't be back.
Good Sam's ratings are way off on this one. It would be good for a late night summer stop and early morning departure on I-40. I had expectations of a GREAT facility after seeing the Good Sam's ratings and we were disappointed. The spots are WAY too close together and also too narrow. We never even got our chairs out or sat outside due to narrow & sloping grassy area.
We booked at the park because Good Same had rated the restrooms & showers with a 10*. The park needs to be re-inspected because the restrooms were very disappointing. In the main office area, there were three restrooms. One had a toilet, sink & shower but looked very dirty. The second one had a toilet. The third one had a shower. No hooks or any place to put your clothes. A second building had restrooms and showers that we used on night #2. I thought it would be better because the first... Read More

I had to hang my clothes on the door knob and lay my towel on top of my shower bag that I had placed on the sink. There were paper towels but no trash basket to dispose of them. Things weren't clean in either of the buildings. Floor was dirty and I don't think things had been recently cleaned. We went to this campground because it had a 10* rating for the restrooms. We depend on and trust Good Sam's rating. We've camped for 45+ years and have seldom been disappointed. Something went wrong with this one. We won't be coming back to this campground.

We arrived at Elk Creek RV park on Sept. 18, 2016 at 6:38 PM.
The office was closed and when we called the telephone number
listed on the office door the voice mail box was full.
We did NOT find anything in the night check in box.
One camper told us there was one pull through spot with 30AMP left and that other people who had reservations had stopped by as well only to find they did not have a spot either!
We reserved and PAID for a 50 AMP space AND received a paid invoice via email, however, we went ahead and
took the vacant 30 AMP spot. The next morning we went to the office to tell them of our experience and ask about a possible late check out. The nice lady behind the desk had no idea what time check out was. She stated she was new and did not know what to tell us. This whole experience has been extremely frustrating. Another issue was with the advertised WIFI. Because there was no one to check us in and no information left for us we were unable to hook up to the Wi-Fi which was very important to us. The shower rooms were very dirty. The only good part of this experience with a nice campers who were here. We felt sorry for the lady in the office because she was new at her job and had not been given the proper instruction to answer our simple questions regarding this RV park. As far as I am concerned, this place is nothing but a scam on travelers. We paid for a 50 amp spot and ended up only getting 30 AMP spot which is a few dollars cheaper.
This is rated an 8 with GoodSamClub. I will be letting them know as well.
Very disappointed .

Just an overnight for us; weather was pretty hot and humid -- not their fault of course;;I would stay there again for an overnight; didn't have a lot of appeal for us to stay another night even if we wanted to take the time
Only stayed overnight, but park staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Sights are gravel but fairly level with good electric and water. Within minute of highway and gas station with much cheaper gas/diesel...

First of all, we made our reservation for a 50 amp spot on line - got an email confirmation (which was nice) but it didn't say what site we were confirmed in. So when we arrived, there was no one in the office - it was very confusing. They had some posters up saying if you had a reservation you are suppose to be on a list on the office door ... there was NO list! So the poster also said if you didn't have a reservation, just pick a spot on the first or second row which we did. Unfortunately, we didn't check to make sure that the spot we picked had 50 amp service (our fault, but we just assumed each site had both like most parks) . So we went ahead and set up and then when we got ready to plug in the electric we realized that it only had 30 amp service. Because we were only staying for 2 nights we decided to just go ahead and use the 30 amp service. At 3 o'clock I went over to the office to see if someone was there so we could check in. There was a young man in the office and I explained to him that we had a reservation but there was no list indicating what spot we were supposed to be in. His only response was that he was behind because he had been sick. So I told him that we were on site 38 and that it only had 30 amp service and that I was pretty sure we had paid for 50 amp service, and also that we are Good Sam members and I wasn't sure if we had gotten our discount. So he refunded the difference in the 30 amp and 50 amp site and gave me the Good Sam discount and I thought everything would be fine. The following day we continued to have power outages for probably 3 to 4 hours all afternoon The people around us were not experiencing the same thing. So my husband finally went outside to unplug from site 38 and try plugging into a different site and when he did he said that the breaker box was not grounded and he got shocked. We are not sure if this was the problem or not, but now that we are plugged into a different site we are not having the power issues. This is a very low key RV Park where management doesn't really seem to care about their customers - they just aren't here. There was no one on site to complain to about the power so we were left to our own devices. Also the grass needed to be cut and the sites are extremely small - very little space in between. Thankfully it is just for two nights. We will not be returning to this park!
If you do decide to give it a try, here's a few tips:
1) if there is no one in the office and you pick your site on row 1 or 2, make sure it is the amps you need first
2) and if you pick a spot on row 1 or 2, and your RV is 30 amp, don't pick a 50 amp site or they'll make you move (this happened to one of our neighbors)
3) office is only open occasionally, so don't depend on them to sign for any deliveries or provide any assistance
Good Luck!!!

It became more difficult each day when someone new came and it was again impossible to adhere to this rule.
