Booked online for an overnight on the way home. I entered our data as requested, 40' Motorhome with slides. The website said one site available. I accepted site 25. When we got there it was a treacherous entry with deep potholes. No real directions once in to their pitiful little gate. Scraped our exhaust pipe on a jagged rock retaining wall trying to get to site 25, the MOST unlevel site in the parking lot. After a long day of travel we tried to level to no avail. Scraped our exhaust pipe on a jagged rock retaining wall trying to get to site 25, the MOST unlevel site in the parking lot. After a long day of travel we tried to level to no avail. It was only 6pm but the place was completely dark and scary. Finally moved to a level lot of MANY vacant level lots. The parking lot manager came to the door and, unlike all other parks, didn't say "hi" or "howdy". Very unfriendly, she said accusitorily "Do you have a reservation to be here?" I responded "Yes, my last name". She snarled "What's that?" I said the name the confirmation is under. We couldn't get level up on that hill. She replied disgustingly "Well okay, I'll mark this site as taken". Seriously, there were so many empty sites. Even in the morning. Like other reviews, if you are in a motorcoach, I think they give you the worst, most inaccessible, most unlevel site, just for sport. Also, they have 8 channels, woo hoo. We didn't go to the bathhouse or laundry. We just left right away. Horrible place. We camped at The Cove Lakeside RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

We chose this campground because of the previous reviews, but were terribly disappointed when we arrived. 1. Access is not the best. Directions said to get off freeway, take a turn, and then follow the signs. There were no signs til we got to the campground all the way to the end of the road. 2. When we arrived, there was a gate, and an old mailbox labeled "Check In" that is impossible to reach from a Class A coach. My wife got out and opened the box. Inside were two envelopes - one with a... Read More

When we arrived, there was a gate, and an old mailbox labeled "Check In" that is impossible to reach from a Class A coach. My wife got out and opened the box. Inside were two envelopes - one with a name on it, another with just a number. Both were sealed. No attendant, no instructions, no nothing but a gate. I dug out our reservation and found that there was a code for the gate and our site number (not labeled as that, but it was the only number in the reservation area). It had a "access code" of 1234 - no explanation or instructions as to what it's for. My wife got out again to enter it in the gate keypad (also impossible to reach from a Class A coach). The gate opened! We entered into the campground and rode around til we found campsite 21. No map or directional signs. Only markings on each campsite post. 3. Sites and roads are loose gravel. It's pretty much just a parking lot. Sites are reasonably level. Utilities ( power, water, and sewer) are at the far back of the site. You'll need long power cord, hose, and sewer hose to reach. Oh yeah, The picnic table in our site was blocking the entry to the site. 4. There is no evidence of any manager, workers, host, or anyone else in the campground. All in all, I expect some kind of management on site, and I expect to at least have a map or directions to my site. All I got on my confirmation was a somewhat confusing page detailing how much they charged my credit card, and a full page of tiny print rules. Seem they are much more concerned that you understand all the things you can't do than they are about service to their guest. Obviously, we won't stay here again, and would recommend that others pass it by.

We couldn't have been happier here. The campground was GREAT! The staff was SUPER! Loved the lake! Excellent stay.

Our family of six stopped for a night on Spring break while traveling from South Carolina to Louisiana. We arrived late at night and the owner was very hospitable and welcomed us at that late hour. The campground is new and clean, with great bath houses. Unfortunately it poured rain and we were not able to take advantage of the nice swimming pools or the beautiful lake. This resort is most accommodating with wonderful owners. We will definitely stay here again!!

We stayed on our way to and from Destin Florida from Kentucky. This place is very nice and NEW. The bathhouse are NEW and clean! There's a lake surrounding the RV Park. Park offers full hook ups and cable TV. Great cell phone reception (ATT) A Walmart, shopping and several restaurants located near the park. This will be our go to Campground on our way to Destin. See you in the future again!!
