Gulf State Park is one of my favorite places to camp. Great facility and always clean. Close to the beach and many other amenities.

We stayed for 5 days in March. The grounds were neat and well kept. Staff was courteous and efficient. There were plenty of things to do including the beach, a great pool and a dog park. The bath houses are few and pretty spread out, but would definitely stay there again.

This is a state park. The campground is large. We had a pull-thru. We did not have a fire ring at the site, bit there was a bbq available. The staff was very accommodating. When we first arrived, the attendant could not understand why we had selected the site we did. We explained that we had never been there before and did not know what we had asked for. The park was about 60% full so she moved us to a pull-thru. Lots of things to do as the park has its own beach and fishing pier. They... Read More

Also on site was a wildlife museum. It was designed mainly for kids, but we really liked it. It had both live animals (mostly snakes) and mounted animals. And if you don't want to cook, lots of restaurants available.
