We also stayed here 9 years ago. I have to say the place has gone downhill. Bathrooms and showers are filthy. WIFI does not work, and cable TV is unwatchable. I fail to understand how Good Sam is able to rate rest rooms a "10." The grounds look like they have not been taken care of for several years. As someone else has stated, it is essentially a big parking lot with small sites and no views. Way over priced. Personally, I would not even think about eating in the restaurant.
We stayed in this RV park after a few days of dry camping at Chena Hot Springs. It was nice to have full hookups at River’s Edge. Overall, I’d say this park was okay but not great. I don’t feel compelled to stay here again. The good: The park is in a pretty good location to access Fairbanks. We got around town on our e-bikes with no problem. We also rented a canoe and paddled back downstream to the park, where the canoe rental company picked up the canoe. Their WiFi system worked relatively well.... Read More

The bad: The staff were very busy and almost seemed annoyed when I asked questions or for help. The grounds were a bit run down and many of the advertised amenities were broken or substandard. Cable TV didn’t really work and was unwatchable. The RV wash was in a state of disrepair and a waste of money. It’s close to the airport, passing trains, and the highway. It’s noisy. The restaurant next to the park was okay, but nothing memorable.

Good location on my travels, good wifi, clean restrooms, and friendly staff. Cons, they just opened a week or two ago and still working out some things- could not get cable to work - they even gave another site no upcharge. I would stay again.
Stayed 3 nights, filthy rest room n showers, unacceptable by any standards. Floors had dirt, dental floss and more for all 3 nights, plus last year shower mats were laid out on night 1 on top of the filth and the mats really needed a good cleaning too. Handicap toilet was very dirty, needed cleaning, had waste water, toilet tissue on floor, simply unacceptable, all 3 nights and no improvement. Observed manager inspect, quick walk through, but NO action. Go figure. I have never posted a negative... Read More

Very nice park. The adjoining restaurant and bar are excellent. Site was a level pull thru and easy in/out. The route to the park from the "interstate" was difficult and poor quality road. Need to take it slow to avoid uncomfortable bouncing and pot holes.
Great large park on the river in Fairbanks. The park also operated a nice restaurant and bar next to the park which is well worth visiting when staying there. Park also helped book tours for guests and the tour we took even picked us up at the park.
This is a pricey park. We paid over $50 for pull-thru full hookup. Starting to seem like the norm in Alaska after Tok and now this one. We made reservations the day before, maybe two days before, I would recommend that during busy season. The park itself is very nice. It is as it claims right by the river and there is a walk along the river. The restrooms/showers are clean and showers are free. The airport is nearby and you will occasionally hear the jets taking off. I would probably stay here again. Read More

WIFI performance at our site ("ROW I") was GREAT! I know we are on vacation but still need to book tour reservations and keep up with what's going on back home. (A lot of campgrounds say they have WIFI but it usually only works at off hours and that's not acceptable. If they don't have a certain level of WIFI, it should be disclosed.)
Great location, right on the river and just down the path is a restaurant owned by the rv park. The gift shop is huge and have awesome deals on Alaska made merchandise. We had an end site with the river view and was fun watching the boat traffic and rafters. We will would stay again without a doubt!
Nice campground - no campground store, but lots of gifts and they'll book tours for you too. Nice walk along river. New facility. Level lots, gravel, and large with lots of trees. Laundry was a bit pricey, but lots of well-working, clean machines.
