We most recently camped at Montana Creek Campground for three nights the last week of August 2019. This is a nice RV park along the Parks Highway north of Willow and about 2 miles south of the Talkeetna turn-off. The park had grass and big trees (cottonwoods and other deciduous trees). Although the campers were a little tightly packed, we had enough room and it was very quiet considering the number of campers there. The place could use better signs and information on its website. Potable water is available but have to fill your fresh water tank before you park. No water is available at your campsite. For $43.75 with discounts we had 30/50 amp electricity in our campsite. During the peak of the summer we have previously paid $58 per day. There are only a few campsites with electricity, a majority of sites do not have any utilities. There is no dump sites or sewer available in the park. There are no public laundry, showers or restrooms. There is a commercial dumpsite available at a gas station a couple of miles north of the campground. For a large rig, some of the roads and turns will be tight, however experienced drivers can move through the camp ground easily. There is a store there but try not to buy your supplies there you will pay a lot for that convenience. We have camped here several times over the past two years because the fishing was great and there is room for the dogs and kids to play in the campground. Lower rating because of lack of water, sewer/dump station at the campsite and high cost of essentially "dry" camping".
