This is a well laid out campground, clean, with large sites, and good separation of sites. This campground is railroad themed, with cabooses available for rent if you so desire. My only complaint is the use of the showers, which require Canadian coins to operate. If you are from the states, the likelihood of you having a few loonies or toonies available in your pocket is slim to none. The campground owner did not offer exchange of U.S. dollars for the Canadian coins, instructing us to find a... Read More

If you are from the states, the likelihood of you having a few loonies or toonies available in your pocket is slim to none. The campground owner did not offer exchange of U.S. dollars for the Canadian coins, instructing us to find a local bank to make the transaction. This is a remotely located campground that is approximately 30 miles from Okotoks, Alberta, which is the only place a bank may be located. So we basically were not able to shower for the three days we were there. The toilet rooms were modern and beautiful, however, we never saw the showers in use. The owner needs to post on his website, if he has one, that the showers require coin operation using Canadian coins. The price for the showers was a Canadian dollar (loonie) for one minute of operation, and two dollars (toonie) for 4 minutes. One would have to be very efficient to get a shower done in 4 minutes.
