Flagstaff KOA Holiday Good Sam Verified Campground

We stayed two nights in early April 2022. It was 'OK" but could have been a lot nicer with nice infrastructure investments. The roads and sites are very rough and unkempt. Our first site was way too narrow for our slides and when they agreed to move us but it was to a site that was totally not level. We had to block up our rear jacks to get them to get our stern reasonably level. The sewer inlet was plugged so we could not pump out our holding tank. We would choose a nicer park if one was available in the area. They allowed people to burn smokey campfires in windy conditions even though it seemed very dry and tender in the woodsy environment. And then a couple weeks later some neighboring areas had severe forest fires and people lost their homes. Did not use the restrooms.

Our 59th stop for an overnight was the Flagstaff KOA. It was good for just that but can see it being a nice place when in season – this was the end of November. Convenient to stores on a busy road and not far off I-40. Did not use the amenities or bath houses. We had a stayed in a standard pull through at the back of the park but found the sites a bit narrow, not very level and the road is narrow. The WiFi was weak so we worked off cellular which had good signal. Nothing bad but nothing too exciting.... Read More

Traveling full-time in a 42-foot coach we have stayed in over 400 RV Parks, we stayed here seven nights. (1) Clean, quiet and well-maintained park with great amenities is what you will find here along with a very friendly staff. (2) We live in the age of WIFI technology and there is nothing to stop any RV Park across this country from investing in doing WIFI properly. This park receives 5-stars for their great WIFI. (1) Clean, quiet and well-maintained park with great amenities is what you will find here along with a very friendly staff. (2) We live in the age of WIFI technology and there is nothing to stop any RV Park across this country from investing in doing WIFI properly. This park receives 5-stars for their great WIFI. (3) Level pads, big coaches need paved or thick gravel pads that are level. Our site was gravel, mostly dirt...fortunately it was level. (4) Maneuverability, some parks have very narrow roads which make backing up and turning very difficult, we found this park to have plenty of room to maneuver. (5) Dust, some parks are so dusty that even after short stays your unit needs a bath, this place is very dusty, no grass. (6) Satellite, as you know satellite reception is very hard to receive when you have large trees, and it is unlikely you will receive reception because of all the tall beautiful trees surrounding the park. (7) Phone Service, we have AT&T which worked great here. (8) Dog play and potty, plenty of room to walk your dog here, there is even a fenced dog run.

An outstanding large KOA. The facilities we used on our one-night stay were in good condition. Winter was just ending, so the landscaping effort had not really started. Many activities are offered. Beware of the fact that the men's room I used did NOT have a handicap-accessible toilet stall. Ditto for the showers. The day we arrived, they said RVs had been queued up along the US-89 waiting to get in. Best to know about this before you get caught in a situation with no way backward or forward. The staff is very efficient, and appears to be fully capable of handling a backlog in reasonable time.

We picked this KOA because of proximity to both the Grand Canyon to the north and Sedona to the south. Check in was a snap with attentive staff at a typical camp store. Our site was directly across from the showers and laundry which made it very handy for us. There are all types of visitors here from Class A, to tent and yurt campers. Cabins are also available. We picked this KOA because of proximity to both the Grand Canyon to the north and Sedona to the south. Check in was a snap with attentive staff at a typical camp store. Our site was directly across from the showers and laundry which made it very handy for us. There are all types of visitors here from Class A, to tent and yurt campers. Cabins are also available. There is a KOA Kamp Kitchen which serves breakfast. Good food at a reasonable price and slow pace. Campground is conveniently located on Hwy 89 directly across the intersection from a Circle K. Express Liquor is next to the Circle K. There are two trail heads located at the perimeter of the park for those interested in hiking. Roads in the park are tight and sites, all gravel and sand, are ample but close. Traffic in the park is supposed to be one-way direction but not well marked and patrons don't follow well. We stayed for four nights. Due to fire danger no fire pits or charcoal grills are allowed. Propane grills are ok. We remarked that the 35 degree morning temperature was the warmest 35 degrees we had felt and the 60 degree afternoons were the coldest 60 degrees. Must be the elevation. Trash cans are at each site and there is a recycle drop off as well. 4 adults, Class A with tow car, $50/nt with KOA discount.

Gorgeous location, great views. Staff not well supervised, sites unkempt, trash collection hit and miss. Area around dumpsters very trashy. Campground should take a lesson from koa Albuquerque or koa Cortez.

We had a great experience during our stay. The staff was very attentive to questions and suggestions. facility was clean and orderly. Sites are somewhat uneven and the the roads are narrow. But, for our 24-foot trailer, we had no problems. Proximity to town and location for daytime adventures in northern Arizona was great. Overall, we had a great experience with the facility and of course the other campers were great.

Old, run down, dirty, narrow un level spots. $55 with no sewer. Only stayed here because it was the only one left in town.

The only thing we liked about this RV Park was the location in Flagstaff near stores and close to area sites. The management clearly does not take care of this park. It is sadly neglected in cleanliness and orderliness. The ladies restroom near our site was out of order and according to a sign it has been for over a month. Our camp site was narrow and unlevel. The only thing we liked about this RV Park was the location in Flagstaff near stores and close to area sites. The management clearly does not take care of this park. It is sadly neglected in cleanliness and orderliness. The ladies restroom near our site was out of order and according to a sign it has been for over a month. Our camp site was narrow and unlevel. We couldn't use the picnic table because it was jammed in the spot on a 45 degree angle. The fire pit was rusty and full of cigarette butts. The laundry facility has old machines that are filthy. Some are "out of order". The lid on the electric hook up box was broken at our site. The grounds were messy and not maintained. Unfortunately we could not get a reservation at another nearby RV park and spent 6 nights of our 2 week vacation here. We couldn't wait to leave!

This campground is convenient to I40 and most areas of Flagstaff. It is an older campground not designed for today's RV size but we got our 37 footer in and out without too much trouble. Cable tv was good as was the Internet (most of the time). On windy nights could not get on. No enclosed dog run but there is a hiking trail right in the back of the campground which is a bonus. Laundry could use some help as it is outdated and dumpy.

Great park. Friendly people. Thank check in was going thru renovation but all ran fine. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the great time... Highly recommend.
