Apache RV Park is located in the small town of St. David, AZ. It is 85% permanent residents with a few spots left for travelers. The spaces are adequate for an RV park, not overly big. The park is quiet and friendly. We were greeted by some of the residents upon our arrival. What made this park so special to us is the helpful, friendly staff. Apache RV Park is located in the small town of St. David, AZ. It is 85% permanent residents with a few spots left for travelers. The spaces are adequate for an RV park, not overly big. The park is quiet and friendly. We were greeted by some of the residents upon our arrival. What made this park so special to us is the helpful, friendly staff. The large office has a library of books and movies to borrow. A table where guests can sit, visit and have a cup of coffee. There were also some fresh tomatoes for the taking. The office manager was welcoming and very helpful! We asked to have a Fed-EX package delivered to their address, to pick up when we came back through a week later and that was no problem.
Apache has a club house where scheduled activities take place. When we were there is was a music jam. They have a clean laundry facility with dryers and clothes line. The bathroom old, but very clean and has a shower. They have propane fill up. We took the propane tanks off of the trailer and a fellow came and picked them up, filled them and brought them back to us. We went to the office and paid. It was one of the cheapest fills that we had had at $3.10 / gallon.
When we stayed, the nightly rate for full hookup was $25. Apache honored a Good Sam discount of 10% per night as well as ONE night of Passport America discount. We are heading back through to spend a couple more nights with them. Plans are in the works for a gas station and convenience store in the future.
Although St.David does not offer much in the form of amenities, the town of Benson is just 6 miles away and has a Safeway and Walmart.
