Visit the Soul of the Sonoran Desert
Experience the flavor of the Southwest, with wide open spaces and plenty of room to unplug & explore. Several museums to see & authentic Southwestern cuisine to sample. Bask in our endless sunshine & soak up amazing sunsets!
The Houghton Rd exit is closed for construction. We had no issues taking the Rita Rd exit with our 45ft Class A. The park is all gravel and well maintained. They do not take reservations. No issues getting a spot in the summer. Check in at the Administration Office. You can pick any available site, then call to let them know which one you chose. All sites are back-in's but if it's not crowded you can pull through into the site. Very well maintained, no weeds. No problems with the hook-ups.
OVERNITE STAY WHILE TRAVELING. GOOD LOCATION, NO PUL THRUS, GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
We were looking for a quiet location in the Tucson area that was safe and had space for our granddaughter to be outside - and this place seems to fit what we were looking for! Camp hosts are very nice and helpful, propane is available onsite, they have someone at the gate in the evenings and weekends, we've been here a few days now and are happy with our experience so far. Water pressure is good, electrical pedestal is in good shape, and the sewer conveniently located. No cable, but plenty of over... Read More

Water pressure is good, electrical pedestal is in good shape, and the sewer conveniently located. No cable, but plenty of over the air channels. Wi-fi is good enough to get on the internet, but don't plan on streaming movies.
There is some distant noise during the day from facilities in the area, but it's not loud enough to disturb a nap or conversation.
It's not a resort, and if you're looking for paved roads, concrete pads, cable tv, pool, etc, this isn't the place your you - but it is a clean, safe, relaxing place to stop for a day or week or even longer. The interior roads and pads are gravel, but they're well maintained so dust isn't an issue.
Being away from town you get sunrises in the morning, sunsets at night, and you can see the stars fairly well.

We arrived around 9:30pm and they were still open. We were welcomed promptly and after booking in we were taken to our site. It was all gravel but level. We were only planning on staying the night and then looking for a RV Park closer to our kids in Tucson. After seeing the prices for other Parks (we don't use all their amenities which you pay for dearly) we decided to stay where we were. Weekly rate was $150, so only averaged to $21.50 a night. Pretty cheap for Water, Electricity, Wifi. We put out our carpeting and chairs (a little bumpy), brought out the canopy, and settled in. There are different areas that you can stay in, and we were close to the reception office, others are farther back that are wide open or with trees. We ended up staying for 2 weeks and enjoyed it. It did get a little windy on a few occasions, but that didn't bother us. Close to I-10 freeway for easy access to sightseeing the area. We enjoy one weekend of watching Horse Barrel Racing competition and all the people with their horses, and the next weekend they had Horse Equestrian competition. Enjoyed both. If you are wanting lots of grass, pool, clubhouse, etch, then this is not the place. We found it very safe and quiet, and the staff were excellent and friendly. Also have a Propane filling station if needed.

Huge place offering more than 300 sites. When we stayed the place was pretty much empty, but if this place gets full it would be miserable. No picnic table or anything between the RVs. The hook ups are fine, and each hookup station is designed to accommodate two RVs. Basically, the campground is a big gravel lot, with no trees (it must be miserable in the summer heat). There are two bathrooms but they're locked and you can only get the key between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. There's a separate building... Read More

There's a separate building that has showers but it's way across the fairgrounds and this place is huge (we drove our RV to the shower facility before we left the next morning). The showers are not heated. It's OK for an overnight stay, but wouldn't stay here for longer periods.

This fairground was a nice place to stay overnight. No places in AZ would let us in because we have 3 dogs. The fairground didn't mind. It is a pretty place with lots of hookups-around 300! It is easy to find and quiet.
