Welcome to the park!
To ensure the comfort and safety of our guests, please abide by the following rules:
Registration and Arrival Check-In Procedure - Check-in is 3 pm-9 pm. - Check-out is by 12 pm. - Verify your arrival and departure dates. - Balance must be paid in full before the time of check-in. - Please call or text us to inquire about early check-in or late checkout options! - Please call our office phone at (417) 334-4781 prior to 3:00 p.m. on your arrival date if you will be arriving after our office/store is closed. - Arrangements must be made so that you will have all the necessary information. - We’re flexible to your comfort level! Please inquire about fully zero-contact check-in options. - All visitors (anyone coming to visit you that is not included in your original reservation) must register at the campground office upon arrival and must pay a day-use fee. - As you prepare for your trip, please confirm all the details for your upcoming trip are correct and complete your pre-arrival checklist. - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. Office Hours - Office Hours are currently Sunday-Thursday 9 am-5 pm and Friday-Saturday 8 am-5 pm. - During Winter Season (November 1st-March 1st), the office hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am-4 pm. - Closed Sunday and Monday. Visitors - We reserve the right to refuse any guest. - There are no exceptions to this rule. - Visitors will not be able to access the campground without prior approval from the guest they are visiting. Quiet Time - Weekdays 10 pm - 8 am. - Weekends 11 pm - 8 am. - Please be considerate of others. - No loud music at any time. Quiet time is strictly enforced. Children Policy - Children under age 16 should always be under the direct supervision of a parent/guardian. - Children should never be left unattended. - We are not responsible for their safety or welfare. - You are solely liable for their behavior. Pet Policy - Well-behaved and vaccinated pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times when outside your camping unit. - Always clean up after pets. - Do not leave pets tethered or in a pen outside when you are absent. - Excessive barking is a nuisance. - Owner is responsible for their pets and their actions. Trash Policy - Trash dumpsters are located next to the dog park behind the Pavilion. - Dumpsters are for personal trash only. - All trash must be bagged and tied. - Boxes should be broken down. - DO NOT leave trash outside by your RV. - Sites are to be kept clean and orderly. Laundry - Please leave the laundry room as you found it. - Do not leave laundry unattended. - You are responsible for your own property. - The Hide-A-Way Campground & RV Retreat is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. - If machines are in need of attention, please notify the office immediately. Cleaning of Vehicles - Washing vehicles (including camping units) on the property is prohibited; however, keeping your camping unit clean and in good repair is required. - If you would like to wash your vehicle, check with the office for local car wash recommendations. Internet and Cable - WiFi and cable are offered free of charge with your reservation. - If you experience problems with your connection, please contact the office for assistance. - There is a $25 cable box deposit that will be refunded at check out when the box is returned. - Please inquire at the office for availability. Fire Policy - No fireworks allowed. - No open display of firearms. - Fires are permitted in your fire pit at your site unless prohibited by local ordinance when fire danger is present (i.e., burn ban). - When lighting a fire, please treat it with respect and extinguish it completely before leaving your fire unattended. - Trash should never be burned in your fire pit; this includes cigarette butts and paper products. - Absolutely no transported (out of state) firewood is permitted. - This is required to protect our beautiful flora and fauna. - If you would like to build a fire in the fire pit at your site, please purchase a bundle of firewood from the general store. Speed Limit - Please maintain a speed limit of 5mph or less throughout the property for all vehicles, including golf carts. Golf Carts - Must be operated by sober, licensed adults. Camping Units - Must be RVIA (RV Industries of America) certified campers. - Post-manufactured/converted vehicles or units are not permitted. ATV and Mini Bikes - Are not permitted to be operated at The Hide-A-Way Campground & RV Retreat. Parking Policy - One vehicle per site (additional vehicles are permitted for a small fee upon request). - Please park on your site out of the main drives and refrain from parking on other sites. - If your vehicle(s) do not fit on your site, please discuss alternate options with the office. - Extra parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Swimming Pool Policy - Swimming on the property is at your own risk. - We do not have lifeguards on duty. - The swimming pool is open 10 am - 8 pm Memorial Day - Labor Day. - All pool rules are posted at the pool. - Any person violating the pool rules will be asked to leave. - No smoking at the pool. Alcohol Policy - Alcohol consumption is permitted for all campers over the legal age of 21 in a cup or koozie. - There should be no open display of alcohol consumption. - When consuming alcohol on property, you are liable for your own safety and the safety of others. - Do not drive on property (including golf carts or bicycles) while under the influence of alcohol. - You are also liable for any destruction caused by you or your party. - Please respect your neighbors and limit noise while consuming alcohol. Respect Your Neighbors - Respect your wishes, and please do not cross over occupied campsites. - Remember the Golden Rule and treat other campers the way you would like to be treated. The use of hate speech/hateful acts of any kind is absolutely prohibited. - Degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender, or identity will not be tolerated. - We have lots of families and children; please use respectful language/volume. Ropes, Chains, and Leashes - Please do not tie ropes, chains, or leashes, including hammocks, leads, tents, clotheslines, etc., around trees, picnic tables, or electric boxes. Conduct - Disorderly conduct, drunkenness, illegal drugs, obscene language, and obnoxious, disruptive, or vulgar behavior will not be tolerated on the property. - Domestic disputes, civil disobedience, and criminal behavior are prohibited. Ejection - These park rules were created with the health, cleanliness, legality, and welfare of all in mind. - Any violations of these rules are grounds for ejection from The Hide-A-Way Campground & RV Retreat. Reservation Adjustment - If you need to make any adjustments to your reservation, please contact the office right away. - This may include: - shortening your reservation. - extending your reservation. - changing your dates (once per reservation with no additional fees). Campground Disclaimer - Greetings from The Hide-A-Way Campground & RV Retreat. - This property is privately owned. - The camper accepts camping privileges with the understanding that he does hereby release the Campground, its officers, and employees of all liability for loss or damage to property and injury to his person arising out of his use of its camping facilities and agrees to indemnify the Campground, its officers and employees, against claims resulting from loss or damage to property or injury to the person or any member of the family or guest of the registered camper arising out of the use of its camping facilities. - The campground cannot be responsible for injury or damage due to wind, water, fire, or your or others' negligence. - Some of these rules were made by us, and some were made by our insurance company. - They are made for your protection safety, and to ensure that all have a pleasant camping experience while staying with us here at The Hide-A-Way Campground & RV Retreat. - By signing this document, I agree I have presented this document at check-in and further agree and carry responsibility for all persons (including minors and guests) staying at my campsite for the duration of our stay at The Hide-A-Way Campground & RV Retreat. - We look forward to welcoming you to The Hide-A-Way Campground & RV Retreat!

How to read Good Sam Ratings
The three-number rating that accompanies each campground listing in the directory gives readers an at-a-glance assessment of a campground's amenities, cleanliness and environment. All three ratings categories are measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best. Less than 1 percent of parks or campgrounds receive the coveted 10 | 10 | 10 rating, which indicates superior facilities that are well maintained, clean, well-appointed restrooms and a highly appealing appearance. Campgrounds are inspected annually by dedicated RVers like you.
Completeness of facilities
The first campground rating evaluates completeness and quality of facilities. In this category we rate interior roads, sites, registration area, hookups, recreation, swimming, security, laundry, store and building maintenance.
Cleanliness of restrooms and showers
The second rating category concerns the cleanliness and physical characteristics of toilets, walls, showers, sinks/counters/mirrors and floor. If a park achieves a full point in each of the above, it receives a star ( ), indicating exceptionally clean restrooms.
Also rated are physical characteristics of restrooms, including interior construction, adequate supplies/odor free, adequate number of facilities, exterior appearance and location in relation to park spaces, and interior appearance.
Visual appeal and environmental quality
This category addresses the park's setting and site layout, function and identification of signage, overall exterior building maintenance, noise, trash disposal, litter and debris around the grounds and sites, and appearance of grounds, sites and entrance area.
