To ensure the comfort and safety of our guests, please abide by the following rules:
Check-in Procedure Arrival Times - 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM - Check-in is 3:00 pm for all. - Check-out time is noon for RV sites and Primitive Tent sites. - Check-out time is 11:00 A.M. for Safari Tents, Retro Campers, and Tree Houses. - Check-out time is 10:00 A.M. for The Ranger Station. - If arriving outside of check-in times, please call to make arrangements. - Any check out after check out time will incur a charge of an additional day. - Camp LeConte reserved the right to limit the number of persons per site and length of stay. - Office hours are posted at the entrance to the Office and are subject to change. - All vehicles must display a "visitor" parking pass when applicable while parked at Camp LeConte. - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. Late Check-out - Guests can have a late check-out if approved by management. - Late check-outs do not exceed 2:00 P.M. - There is an additional fee for a late check-out. - Any approved late check-out that has not departed by 2:00 P.M. will incur a charge of an additional day. - Any unapproved late check-out after 12 will incur a charge of an additional day. Rates - Rates are subject to change without notice. - The management assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or loss from any cause. - There are no refunds for any reason. The Ranger Station - The Ranger station requires a 50% deposit at the time of booking. - Guests may get a full refund if they cancel within 48 hours of the time the reservation is made and at least 14 full days before the local check-in time. - After 48 hours and until 14 days prior to check-in, they are entitled to a 50% refund. Important - Camp LeConte will not tolerate any onerous, noxious, or offensive activity of any sort that could interrupt and/or adversely affect the enjoyment of Camp LeConte by the other parties utilizing Camp LeConte. - In the event of such onerous, noxious, or offensive activity, in the judgment of management, the parties responsible for such activities will be required to leave Camp LeConte immediately, without a refund. Damages - We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent, or reckless act of the guest to the campground’s property or structure. - Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit/debit card or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address. - We will however make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum. Credit Card - Charges will appear on your statement in US dollars as Camp LeConte. - For questions, please contact us at [email protected] or (865) 436-8831 during our normal operating hours. - Transactions are processed by a third party with a strict privacy policy. Black Bear Feeding Prohibited - It is unlawful to intentionally or knowingly feed a black bear or intentionally or knowingly leave food or garbage in a manner that attracts bears. - It is also unlawful to engage in any indirect or incidental feeding of bears if the activity occurs after the notice from either the City of Gatlinburg or a law enforcement officer thereof or from an employee of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency to the person responsible for such indirect or incidental feeding. - Such notification shall include the type of activity, which is prohibited. - Further such activity by the responsible person after notice shall be a violation of this section. - Violation of this law is a Class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $500 and 6 months in jail. - Camp LeConte is located adjacent to a national park. - There are wild animals in the area. Children - Parents are to supervise and assume responsibility for all actions of their children. - Guests are financially liable for damage caused by children anyone else in their family, or the guests of guests. - Children under the age of 16 are not allowed at the pool/pavilion area at any time unless accompanied by an adult. Conditions of Units - Due to our insurance requirements, only RVs, campers, and tents in good repair and appearance that meet all requirements of the State of Tennessee will be allowed to stay at Camp LeConte. - No school buses or other converted units. Generators - The use of generators at Camp LeConte is prohibited by guests without prior approval from the Camp LeConte management. The Ranger Station - Up to 8 guests allowed. - Parking for 3 vehicles is available. - No camper vans or conversion vans permitted. - No smoking in or on the porch of The Ranger Station. - No pets allowed. - Food must be properly stored and trash disposed of in bear-proof trash containers. Retro Camper - Only 2 guests per site. Only 1 vehicle per site. - There is an extra fee for additional vehicles. - No camper vans or conversion vans permitted. - Extra vehicles must park in overflow parking. - No smoking in Retro Camper. - No pets in Retro Campers. - Food must be properly stored and trash disposed in the bear-proof dumpster before leaving the site or before guests go to sleep. Safari Tent - Only 2 or fewer guests are allowed in a 2-person Safari Tent. - Only 4 or fewer people are allowed in a 4-person Safari Tent. - only 6 or fewer people are allowed in a 6-person Safari Tent. - No person over 200 lb allowed on top bunk. - Only 1 vehicle per site. - There is an extra fee for additional vehicles. - No camper vans or conversion vans permitted. - Extra vehicles must park in overflow parking. - No smoking in or on the porch of the Safari Tent. - No pets in or on the porch of the Safari Tent. - Food must be properly stored and trash disposed of in a bear-proof dumpster before leaving the site or before guests go to sleep. Luxury Tree House - Only 4 guests per site. - Only 1 vehicle per site. - There is an extra fee for additional vehicles. - Extra vehicles must park in overflow parking -. No camper vans or conversion vans are permitted. - No smoking in Luxury Tree House. - No pets in Luxury Tree House. - No children under the age of 6 are permitted in the loft. - Food must be properly stored and trash disposed of in a bear-proof trashcan before leaving the site or before guests go to sleep. RV Sites - Each site included 4 people in the price. - Extra guests are an additional fee. - No more than 8 people per site. - Sites can be requested but are not guaranteed. - Sites may be changed by staff up to the day of arrival. - Please check in to the office before proceeding to your site. - No tents are permitted at RV sites. Guests - Guests of guests shall generally be limited to 2 adults and 2 children per site-larger groups are strictly prohibited unless approved by management. - Guests of guests must register at the office and will be given a "visitor" pass for their vehicle. - There is a charge for parking and additional guests. Indemnity and Waiver of Liability - Guest shall indemnify and hold Camp LeConte LLC, East Tennessee Holdings LLC, Owners, Managers, and Employees harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising from any and all damages or injuries caused by fire, water, wind, civil strife, or acts of God, Owner and/or guests actions or in-actions (or those of their employees, agents, or invitees), or any other cause related to guest’s use or occupation of the site. - Likewise, Camp LeConte LLC, East Tennessee Holdings LLC, Owners, Managers, and Employees assume no responsibility and assume no liability for any damage to guest or guest’s property while at Camp LeConte, including but not limited to, falling tree limbs. - The guest specifically acknowledges the risks and probability of fallen tree limbs and the potential damage such tree limbs can cause. Mini-bikes, Motorized Bikes/scooters and Motorcycles - Mini-bikes, motorized bikes/scooters, and motorcycles are not to be ridden at Camp LeConte unless entering or leaving the campground. - Any bicycles ridden on Park streets shall be at the risk of the guest, parent, or guardian as the streets are designed for vehicle traffic. Pets - Only three (3) pets per RV/Camper site and all pets must be kept on a short leash and walked in designated areas only. - You must clean up your pet's deposits. - Pets must be kept under control, quiet, cleaned up after, and kept inside except when being walked on a leash. - No pets may be left unattended outside at any time or taken to the pool area. - Pets must not have an aggressive nature or be a breed generally considered aggressive by the public. - If you bring an aggressive breed or breed considered aggressive you will be asked to leave the park immediately. - No refund will be issued. - Pets are not permitted in The Ranger Station, Luxury Tree Houses, Safari Tents, Retro Campers, or Primitive Tent areas. Quiet Hours - Quiet hours 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. - Radio, television, stereo volume, and other disturbing noise and activity must be controlled at all hours. Vehicle - Repair and/or washing vehicles are strictly prohibited, including maintenance and/or the changing of oil. Sites and Parking - Parking or driving on the grass between sites is prohibited. - Extra cars, etc. may be parked in designated areas only and not in other sites reserved or designed for RVs without permission of the Owner. - No tents allowed at RV sites. - We view our lawn and trees as sacred and we ask that you respect that view. Space Rents - Rents are due and payable in advance. Speed Limit - Speed limit of 4 MPH for your safety and to protect children. - This speed limit is strictly enforced. Be safe. Be happy. Protect each other. Storage - Storage of items outside of the unit must be protected from the view of the public. - Clotheslines are strictly prohibited. - Small BBQ grills and folding chairs may be permitted if maintained in a neat and orderly manner. Swimming Pool/Pavilion - No Lifeguard on duty. - No diving allowed. - Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult when in the pool/pavilion area -. No glass containers may be taken to the pool/pavilion and guests and guests of the guest must keep the area clean. - Other rules are posted at the pool site. Trash - Please keep sites clean at all times. - All trash must be deposited in the animal-resistant trash cans or dumpster. - Due to wildlife in the area Camp LeConte does not have garbage pick up. - You are responsible for properly deposing of your garbage.

The three-number rating that accompanies each campground listing in the directory gives readers an at-a-glance assessment of a campground's amenities, cleanliness and environment. All three ratings categories are measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best. Less than 1 percent of parks or campgrounds receive the coveted 10 | 10 | 10 rating, which indicates superior facilities that are well maintained, clean, well-appointed restrooms and a highly appealing appearance. Campgrounds are inspected annually by dedicated RVers like you.
Completeness of facilities
The first campground rating evaluates completeness and quality of facilities. In this category we rate interior roads, sites, registration area, hookups, recreation, swimming, security, laundry, store and building maintenance.
Cleanliness of restrooms and showers
The second rating category concerns the cleanliness and physical characteristics of toilets, walls, showers, sinks/counters/mirrors and floor. If a park achieves a full point in each of the above, it receives a star ( ), indicating exceptionally clean restrooms.
Also rated are physical characteristics of restrooms, including interior construction, adequate supplies/odor free, adequate number of facilities, exterior appearance and location in relation to park spaces, and interior appearance.
Visual appeal and environmental quality
This category addresses the park's setting and site layout, function and identification of signage, overall exterior building maintenance, noise, trash disposal, litter and debris around the grounds and sites, and appearance of grounds, sites and entrance area.
