Welcome to the park!
To ensure the comfort and safety of our guests, please abide by the following rules:
Registration and Arrival Check-In Procedure - Campsites check-in between 12 pm & 7 pm. - Campsites check-out by 11 am. - Cabin check-in is between 3 pm & 7 pm. - Cabin check-out by 11 am. - Please check in at the office. - The person registered will be responsible for the condition of the cabin/site. - We do not allow arrivals after 10:00 pm. - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. Cable TV and Wifi - We are an unplugged campground. - We do not offer cable, Wi-Fi, or TVs in the cabins or campground areas. - When you need to reconnect, we do have Wi-Fi at the store in the common area. Store Policy - Hours: June-September 10:00 am-7:00 pm, 7 days a week. - Hours September-November and April-June 10:00 am-6:00 pm Wednesday-Monday. - We have a stocked store with multiple items – clothing, souvenirs, games, eggs, beverages, beer, and day-to-day items you may have forgotten all at reasonable prices. Available Games - We have corn hole, yard dice, and yard jenga in the community area for our guests to play with. - We also have two horseshoe pits next to the shower house. - Guaranteed to have lots of laughs and fun! Vehicle Policy - Limit of one vehicle per tent site and 4 adults. - Limit of two vehicles per cabin/ full-hookup site, including any overnight guests (motorhome and tow are considered one). - 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, golf carts, etc., are not allowed to be driven on resort property. - Electric vehicle charging is an additional $10 per vehicle per day. - You must unplug your RV before charging your EV. - Failure to do so may cause damage, and any damage to the electrical ped will be the guest's responsibility. - RV, camper, motorhome, vehicle washing, etc., is not allowed. Parking Policy - All vehicles must fit in your site. Please ensure prior to arrival. - Strictly enforced as we do not have overflow parking or a parking area. – Visitors cannot exceed the vehicle limit. - Park in designated areas only. - No parking on grass or on roadways. Speed Limit - Speed limit of 10 mph at all times. Boat and Bicycle Rentals - We rent kayaks, paddle boats, paddle boards, and canoes! - They are all-day rentals – canoe, paddle boards, and paddle boats are $20 a day, and kayak is $15 a day. - You can add these rentals to your reservation or come into the store to rent one and enjoy the beauty of the lake closeup. - We also offer off-site rentals for our canoe and kayaks, which means you can rent and take off-site to other lakes in the area. There is an additional $10 fee to do so. - We also rent bicycles for $20 a day. - These are not electric bikes, just standard bicycles you can use to tour the town or take to the trails and enjoy. Visitor Policy - Limit of 4 visitors per registered guest. - Day Guests: Must check in with the office and give the name and site number they will be visiting. - Overnight Guests: Occupancy and vehicle counts may not exceed limits with the addition of overnight guests. - Guests are responsible for the conduct of their visitors. - Guests are responsible financially for any damage their guests may incur. Cabins - Bedding and towels are provided with your cabin rental. - We do not provide any housekeeping or laundering services during your stay. - If you require any items to be washed, we do have a coin-operated laundry facility on-site for your convenience. - Cabins have lights, electricity, windows and screens. - All of our cabins have restrooms and showers. - Most of our cabins have a full kitchen in them. - There are minimal dishes provided. - Two cabins have kitchenettes (microwave and fridge). - Swim towels are not provided, and our towels are not to be used outside of cabins. - Propane grills are provided at each cabin. - There are no TVs in any of the cabins. - A two-night minimum stay is required for all Cabins. Campsites - Limit of one camping unit per site (tent, popup, van, motorhome, etc.): A 2nd vehicle with a second camping unit (including tents) requires a separate, additional campsite. - Limit of six persons per site, including guests: Additional overnight guests are $5.00/night per person plus $45.00/night per vehicle if vehicle policy is exceeded. Children under 5 are free. - We do not allow extra tent setups at all RV sites. - There is a cost for adding an extra tent to your site, and this is only allowed at certain sites, as we do not want to encroach on other guests. Please contact the office for this. - Please be aware of fire pits, sewer connections, water, and electric pedestals. The guest is responsible for any damage to these. - A spotter is strongly advised when backing into sites. - Tent sites are limited to 4 people and 1 vehicle at all times. - Portable jacuzzi, hot tub, swimming pools, etc., are not allowed. - RV, camper, motorhome, vehicle washing, etc., is not allowed. - There are restrictions to setting up a tent at sites or cabins. Please call the office. - We do not guarantee RV or primitive site numbers unless you lock the site. Campfires - Please do not move fire rings, picnic tables, benches, chairs, tables, or grills. - There are propane fire pits you are able to rent. - If you would like to rent these, you can add them to your reservation or do so in the office. - Please don’t bring firewood from out of state into South Dakota. - We don’t want to spread insects or diseases to our trees. - There are legal ramifications of bringing firewood from out of state or from a quarantined area (Sioux Falls is a quarantined area). - We have firewood to purchase here at very reasonable prices. - Campfires and charcoal grills are only allowed if we are not in a fire ban. - Please call for fire ban status, as each area is different. - Propane fires and grills are always allowed regardless of the fire ban. - We have propane fire pits you can rent to enjoy during the relaxing evening hours. Fire Policy - No fireworks. Water Hydrants - There is only a water hydrant at every other RV site, which means they share water with the site next to them. - All hydrants have splitters on them so everyone can hook into water. - You might need a longer hose for this. Quiet Hours - Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am and are strictly enforced. - We are not a party campground. Fishing Policy - We offer catch-and-release fishing. - We do require a fishing license from Hidden Lake. - The license helps us maintain our fish population and our lake. - We offer single rates or site rates. - Single rates $10. - Site rates include up to six people in your site or cabin for $30. - You can add one of these licenses to your reservation or come into the store to obtain a license. - Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times when fishing. Lake Policy - Don’t forget to rent a watercraft to enjoy the complete Hidden Lake Experience! - Lake hours are 7 am to dusk (8-9 pm depending on time of year). - There is no lifeguard on duty – swim at your own risk. - No children under 14 are allowed unsupervised in the lake or store areas. - Children 14 and under fishing require adult supervision at all times. - You can enjoy a walk around the entire lake. - You can walk across the dam and there is a big field on the other side of the lake. - If you continue through the field, you will come out on the side across from the dam. Please do not cross the road on this side. - That is private property. - Please stay on the road or next to the lake until you come through the gate and then you are back on our property. - You may swim in the lake from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. - Dogs may also swim in the lake but not in our swim area. - Please obey our pet rules and please make sure you are not disturbing other guests. Pet Policy - Please remember not everyone loves dogs, sad we know, and these rules are in place so everyone can enjoy their stay (some are also required by insurance), so please follow them for everyone's safety and pleasure. - A fine will be imposed for any undeclared pets. Please notify the front desk of any pets. - A fine will be imposed for not picking up pet feces. - Pets must be kept on a short leash, under control, and quiet at all times, or your pet may be asked to leave the resort. - Even your dog must be on a leash. - Please pick up after your pets. - We understand they might listen well, but other dogs do not and this is a requirement of our insurance. - All dogs on leash at all times except when swimming or playing in the field. - Leashes may be removed in the lake area if you are in a remote area and at least 200 feet from other guests, and pets must be kept under control and respond immediately to voice commands. - Pet feces must be picked up immediately and disposed of properly, or your pet may be asked to leave the resort. - Pets may not be left unattended outside of your RV under any circumstances. - Pets must not be allowed to disturb other guests, or your pet may be asked to leave the resort. - Pets are not permitted in the swim area, playground, laundry facilities, shower facilities, store, or public patio areas or sites other than your own. - Owners are responsible for any damage or injury caused by their pet. - If your dog barks and causes complaints – you will be asked to leave. - There is an additional $15 daily fee for pets in cabins. - We do not allow cats in our cabins. - Damages caused by your pet to the cabin, its furnishings, or any other part of the resort are your sole responsibility, and your account will be charged commensurate to the cost of such damages. - Cabins are subject to damage inspection at any time and upon checkout. - Limit 2 pets per cabin and 4 pets per RV site. - We do have an open field across the lake. - Dogs can play off-leash if they are not disturbing other guests. - They are allowed to swim in the lake but not in the swim area, and they must not disturb other guests. Wildlife - Do not feed or harass the wildlife. Drones - Drone usage must not disturb other guests. Drones may not leave our property boundary at any time. - It is the guest's responsibility to research and adhere to any drone laws or limitations in this area. We reserve the right to restrict the usage of drones at any time. Playground - The playground is open 8 am-8 pm. Strictly enforced. Smoking Policy - No smoking inside the Cabins. - If this policy is violated, or if there are damages to your unit, you could be charged up to a $200 penalty. - Dispose of all trash properly, including cigarette butts. - Please pick up cigarette butts. Facilities - The shower house, laundry room, and restrooms are closed until May 1 and after October 1. Open Season Dates - We are guaranteed to open for the season on May 1. - We will open early as the weather allows. - We close for the season on October 15. Off Season Rates - We do have off-season rates. - April to May 21 and September 12 to October 15. Deposit and Payments - 100% of your total stay is due at the time of booking. - Payment for all retail items and gift certificates will also be collected. - No personal checks will be accepted. Credit Card Security - Your credit card information is stored and processed securely. Minimum Age Requirements and Personal Accountability - By accepting a reservation, you acknowledge and agree that you are 18+ years old for a campsite OR 21+ years old for cabins, and you are personally staying on the campsite or in the cabin/room. - We do not allow the resale of sites. - Please make arrangements with the office for any change in guest registration. All three ratings categories are measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best. Less than 1 percent of parks or campgrounds receive the coveted 10 | 10 | 10 rating, which indicates superior facilities that are well maintained, clean, well-appointed restrooms and a highly appealing appearance. Campgrounds are inspected annually by dedicated RVers like you.
Completeness of facilities
The first campground rating evaluates completeness and quality of facilities. In this category we rate interior roads, sites, registration area, hookups, recreation, swimming, security, laundry, store and building maintenance.
Cleanliness of restrooms and showers
The second rating category concerns the cleanliness and physical characteristics of toilets, walls, showers, sinks/counters/mirrors and floor. If a park achieves a full point in each of the above, it receives a star ( ), indicating exceptionally clean restrooms.
Also rated are physical characteristics of restrooms, including interior construction, adequate supplies/odor free, adequate number of facilities, exterior appearance and location in relation to park spaces, and interior appearance.
Visual appeal and environmental quality
This category addresses the park's setting and site layout, function and identification of signage, overall exterior building maintenance, noise, trash disposal, litter and debris around the grounds and sites, and appearance of grounds, sites and entrance area.
