Welcome to the park!
To ensure the comfort and safety of our guests, please abide by the following rules:
Check-In Procedure - Check-In Time: Flexible - Flexible - Check-Out Time: 1 pm Self Check-In Procedure - We do not require campers to check into the campground. - If you need assistance or have questions, please stop by the office at the Sioux Empire Real Estate located at the center of the campground. - The office is open from 9 am-5 pm. - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. Liability Warning - WARNING: Under South Dakota law, a private campground owner or an employee or officer of a private campground owner is not liable for an injury to or the death of a person or any property damage resulting from the inherent risks of camping. Mail and Packages - You may receive mail and packages at our campground, but items will be placed in the laundry room as soon as they arrive. - Please check there first before inquiring at the office. - The campground is not responsible for any packages lost or stolen. WIFI password - The wifi password is beresford1. Garbage Rules - Please help keep our campground beautiful by bagging all garbage and placing it directly in the dumpsters. - here are 3 dumpsters located around the campground for your convenience. - Do not leave trash stored next to your RV. - Do not place any garbage in the bathroom or laundry room trash cans. - Please break down any cardboard boxes before placing them in the dumpster. - Please take all trash to the dumpsters. - The site must remain free of trash and unused items other than the patio table, chairs, BBQ grill, umbrella, and awning. Restroom and Shower Areas - Animals are not allowed in the restrooms, shower areas, or laundry room at any time. - Please keep the facilities clean and tidy. - If you note a maintenance issue, please get in touch with the office during business hours or place a message in the Dropbox on the office door. Quiet Hours - Quiet hours are from 10 pm-7 am. - Please be courteous to other campers and control excessive noise at other times. Speed limit - For your safety, the speed limit inside the park is 10mph unless otherwise posted. - Visitors and staff must observe all posted speed limits. - Be extra careful driving near the playground area. - Stop at ALL stop signs in the park. Smoking and Vaping - ALL buildings are smoke/vape-free. - We do not allow smoking or vaping in any building in the park. - This includes the restrooms, laundry rooms, or the office. - Do not throw cigarette butts on the ground anywhere in the park. Alcohol Policy - South Dakota's legal drinking age is 21. This law will be enforced. - Alcoholic beverages are permitted, but public intoxication will not be tolerated. - Alcohol is not permitted in any common area. Campfires - Campfires are the camper's responsibility and are restricted to the fire ring or grills. - Burning trash and large fires are strictly prohibited. - Please put your fire completely out before leaving. Firearms and Fireworks - The discharging of firearms, BB guns, paintball guns, bows and arrows, slingshots, or any devices that use burning powder, explosives, compressed gases, etc., is prohibited. - Fireworks are not permitted. Disruptive Behavior - If the management or another camper calls the police due to disruptive behavior, this camper or campers will be immediately required to leave the campground. - This includes ALL Campers. - Any camping agreement will become void. - There will be no refunds to any person in this situation. - Please do not put yourselves and your management in this situation. Rig and Site Appearance - We reserve the right to refuse or evict any camper based on the camper's appearance and/or age. - Decks and other additions to the camper and/or site are prohibited. - Keep your campsite clean and picked up at all times. - This includes cleaning up all the dog droppings at your campsite. Vehicles and Parking: - All vehicles must have current registration, license plates & insurance. - All vehicles must be in operational condition (ex., flat tires, inoperable, etc.) - Do not allow any vehicles to protrude from the RV site into the traffic flow. - No parking in the right of way. - No parking on other sites if they are not being occupied at the time. - Anyone parking in an unoccupied unit may be charged the daily rate for that space. - Additional vehicles may be parked in the grassy area in the park's southwest corner. - No guest shall operate a motor scooter, mini bike, or other two or three-wheeled motorized vehicle in the park without prior approval from Park Management. - Golf carts and 4-wheelers are permitted, but any reckless or disruptive use will result in banning the vehicle from the Park. - The park staff does not assist in repairs or other services to your camper/RV. Pets and Dog Areas - City Law requires pets to be leashed when outside. - Pets should not be left unattended. - Dog droppings MUST be picked up and disposed of immediately. - Campers are required to keep their campsite free of any dog droppings. - Failure to do so may result in a fine of up to $25.00 per incident. - You must be able to provide documentation of rabies and other vaccinations if asked. - Please keep your pets out of public areas, including the office, laundry rooms, and restrooms. - Pets cannot disturb others, so please control their barking and behavior accordingly. - NO aggressive dogs are allowed. - For the Dog Area, please obey posted rules. Playground - For your safety and comfort, all children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. - Please clean up after yourself. - Please observe all posted rules.
Cancellation policy for Windmill RV Park Campground
Refunds be given in accordance with the Cancellation Policy below: Spot2Nite booking fees are non-refundable.
Campground Cancellation Policy - Cancellations to monthly bookings must be made at least 2 weeks before the move-in date. - A cancellation fee of one week’s rent will be deducted from the refunded amount. - Cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the move-in date will be assessed an additional $125 in addition to the one-week rent deduction. - No refunds are given for early departures or no-shows. - Cancellations for nightly rates must be made at least 7 days in advance for a full refund. - Cancellations made between 3-7 days prior to the check-in date will receive a 50 % refund. - Cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to check will NOT receive a refund. CC processing fees and platform fees are NON-REFUNDABLE! RoverPass Cancellation Policy - The platform and processing fees are non-refundable. - All Spot2Nite reservations require payment in full at the time of booking. - Please contact Spot2Nite to cancel a reservation via email to [email protected] or call (877)778-2683, Option 1. - Spot2Nite convenience fees and credit card processing fees are non-refundable.”

The three-number rating that accompanies each campground listing in the directory gives readers an at-a-glance assessment of a campground's amenities, cleanliness and environment. All three ratings categories are measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best. Less than 1 percent of parks or campgrounds receive the coveted 10 | 10 | 10 rating, which indicates superior facilities that are well maintained, clean, well-appointed restrooms and a highly appealing appearance. Campgrounds are inspected annually by dedicated RVers like you.
Completeness of facilities
The first campground rating evaluates completeness and quality of facilities. In this category we rate interior roads, sites, registration area, hookups, recreation, swimming, security, laundry, store and building maintenance.
Cleanliness of restrooms and showers
The second rating category concerns the cleanliness and physical characteristics of toilets, walls, showers, sinks/counters/mirrors and floor. If a park achieves a full point in each of the above, it receives a star ( ), indicating exceptionally clean restrooms.
Also rated are physical characteristics of restrooms, including interior construction, adequate supplies/odor free, adequate number of facilities, exterior appearance and location in relation to park spaces, and interior appearance.
Visual appeal and environmental quality
This category addresses the park's setting and site layout, function and identification of signage, overall exterior building maintenance, noise, trash disposal, litter and debris around the grounds and sites, and appearance of grounds, sites and entrance area.
