Welcome to the park!
To ensure the comfort and safety of our guests, please abide by the following rules:
Check-In Procedure - Check-in time is any time after 3 pm - Check-out time is anytime before 11 am. - Check-in time is no earlier than 3:00 pm. - A late departure fee will be applied for anyone checking out past the 11:00 checkout time. - Please come to the office/store to check in prior to receiving any keys to the cabin. - Make arrangements if you will be checking in after hours. - Please have your credit card and ID ready when checking in. - We must be strict with these times to ensure that we have enough time to clean and sanitize the cabins, so please do not request later check-outs or earlier check-ins. - Please check out on time or earlier. - Due to constant change-overs, we cannot allow early check-ins. - We do not allow late checkouts. - Return keys to the office/store upon departure so we can start our intense cleaning as soon as possible. - We must get into cabins early enough to clean and sanitize properly. - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. Arrival Times - 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Initial Deposit - At the time of booking, 50% of the reservation balance will be collected. - Payment for all gift certificates will also be collected. Credit Card Security - Your credit card information is stored and processed securely. Credit Card Authorization - I certify that I am the authorized user of the credit card for the above reservation. - I grant Hominy Ridge Cabins and Gift Shop permission to charge my credit card accordingly so long as it directly relates to the services rendered or for damages that occur during my and my guest's stay. - I will do my best to ensure that the cabin and hot tub are taken care of according to the rules and policies that Hominy Ridge Cabins and Gift Shop have given to me in all correspondence and hereby sign below. - I agree to have Hominy Ridge Cabins and Gift Shop place a $250 damage deposit on my credit card at the time of check-in. - I am aware that this damage deposit is for use at their discretion for damages that may occur during my stay. - Hominy Ridge Cabins and Gift Shop agrees to remove this authorization in a timely manner after the cabins have been inspected and cleaned in the event that there are no reasons for charges to occur. Firewood - Firewood is sold at $5 a bundle. - Firewood is in bundles outside of your cabin. - Fire starters are sold at the office/store. - Please leave cash on the table in the envelope provided or you can opt into paying by credit card. - No out-of-area firewood is permitted to be brought into the forest. - Firewood must be purchased locally. - You will be given 8 bundles to begin with, and more can be delivered upon request. - Payment can be made in cash or charged to your credit card. - Starter logs and matches are available upon request. - Please refrain from bringing firewood from outside the area to avoid invasive species of bugs that could destroy the forest. Day Guests - All daytime guests (visitors) must register at the office. - If having daytime guests (visitors), there is a $7 charge per person. - Daytime Guests (visitors) have a 3-hour time limit otherwise there will be additional charges. - Daytime Guests (visitors) must leave by 8 pm or they will be charged as overnight guests and can only stay if the cabin size permits. - They are not permitted to bring dogs unless pre-approved by the property owner. - If Daytime Guests are not reported, then you will be charged double. - The person whose name the reservation is under will be held responsible for visitors. - Daytime guests are limited to limited to up to 4 at a time. - Large gatherings or reunions are not permitted. - Use the State park pavilions for these events and gatherings. Overnight Guests - Any additional overnight guests must be reported and pay the extra guest fee of $15 per person. - Any Extra Guests not reported shall be charged double. - The cabin must be able to hold the extra guest(s) or it will not be permitted. - No outside tenting permitted. Theft - There will be theft or missing items charges for anything missing from your unit. - This includes but is not limited to bedding, bath mats, kitchen wares, and everything that we provide as a courtesy or decorative purposes and stealing of air conditioning or firewood. Damages - Property damages include but are not limited to damage to the cabin or anything in the cabin, broken or damaged furniture. trees (dead or alive), shrubs, graffiti, or defamation of property in any way, do not break branches from trees (dead or alive.) - No hatchets or axes are permitted on the grounds. Cleanliness - Excessive clean-up charges include but are not limited to smoking in units, (smoking permitted outside) cleanup of cigarette butts other than in proper containers, dirty dishes, trash removal, pet hair removal, or other excessive cleanup other than that of which is deemed a normal cleanup. Smoking Policy - No Smoking permitted indoors, outside only. - Please use butt containers. - No smoking in all units. - No Smoking Indoors! - Butts must be properly disposed of, not in the woods or on the ground. - Excess Clean-up Charges will apply. Electric Cars - Using our electricity will be charged accordingly. - $12 per day if we are notified. - If you use the electricity and we notice that you have not reported the usage, you shall be charged double. Conserve Water - We are not on a public water system or sewage system. - Well waters are unpredictable and can run low or out. - We ask that you take short showers, (use water-saver shower heads where installed) never leave the water running, and flush only when necessary. - Flush only our toilet paper (Scott Brand). - Everything else including Charmin and other toilet paper, tissues, napkins, paper towels, tampons, and sanitary napkins must be disposed of in the trash! - If these items are flushed they could back up the sewage into your cabin which you will be held responsible for the cleanup and for roto rooter charges. Trash Policy - All trash is to be disposed of in the dumpster at the bottom of the driveway as you exit by cabin #4 and the chain must be re-hooked to keep the bears out. Quiet Time - Quiet time is 11:00 pm to 8 am. - Excessively noisy or uncontrollable persons will be removed by the police without a refund. - You will only be warned once. Extinguish Fires - Candles, cigarettes, cigars, pipes, or incense burners are not permitted inside the cabins. - All fires must be burned down or out before retiring for the night, before leaving on an adventure or checking out. - Always use protective screens for fireplaces even in your presence to prevent sparks from burning carpet or flooring. Illegal Activities - We do not tolerate large groups of partying or underage drinking or drugs. - All persons intoxicated beyond control will be asked to leave or risk having state police intervention. - This is a family-oriented establishment. - Please act as responsible adults. - State Police intervention will occur. Children Policy - Children are welcome with an accompanying adult. - Children age 1 and under stay free. - Adults must always supervise their children at all times. - This includes playtime at the playground. - Provide your own babysitters. - We are not babysitters and if children are found to be without parental supervision they will be sent back to their parents and will not be able to return without them. - We want safety first. You are responsible for damages incurred by your (un)supervised children. - Please clean up all the trash. Weapons - No discharging of any firearms including BB guns and pellet guns, rifles, and shotguns, or bow/arrows and slingshots on the grounds. - No throwing of knives or axes at targets. - Leave all weapons at home unless hunting. - Keep them secured in the cabin or your vehicle under lock and key. - Be sure they are unloaded and safety is on at all times. Trees - We do not permit axes on the property due to excessive tree damage. - We sell fire starters in the store or kindling (dead branches on the ground) may be picked. - Do not break dead or alive branches from our trees. Hot Tub Policy - Cabins 1-3-6 bathing suits only in the hot tub. - No cotton shorts/shirts/underwear, etc. - You must bring separate bathing suits for the hot tub from the ones you will wear in the river. - We do not want the river bacteria in the hot tub water. - It could make you sick. - All Bathing Suits (new, old, washed, not washed, etc) must be rinsed at your cabin for 5 minutes or till all soap residue is removed (concentrating on the ladies' padded tops). - Shower and rinse well immediately prior to entrance of the hot tub to remove dirt, oils, lotions deodorants, and anything else that could potentially contaminate the water. - Do not apply anything to your clean body prior to entry. - If you use self-tanners, have your period, or plan to have sex, then you are not permitted to use the hot tub. - Please be sure your feet are clean before entry into the hot tub as you will be walking across the entrance to the cabin. Failure to follow these simple instructions could cost you $200 or more to replace the water if it is destroyed by negligence. Pet Policy - See dog policy details below. - Pets are welcome. - Pets must weigh under 75 pounds. - No dogs in Cabin 1 and Cabin 3. - No other animals are permitted in any cabin at any time. - No cats, birds, rabbits, etc. - All dogs must be pre-approved before making reservations. - Dogs are not permitted on furniture or in beds. - There is a 2-dog limit and a 75-pound weight limit. - Dogs are not permitted to be left alone in the cabin at any time. - If you leave the cabin, the dog leaves with you. - Please have your dog groomed so there is less shedding and no fleas and ticks. - It is your responsibility to clean up after your dog. - If you do not, you will be charged a cleanup fee. - Please have your dog up-to-date with all shots. - We ask that you carry a photo of proof of vaccines and a photo of your pet(s) on your phone to aid in finding any lost pet. - Excessive barking, aggressive, or threatening behavior will not be tolerated. - No aggressive breeds. - All dogs must be registered with the office. - Licenses and vaccine records must be submitted if requested. - All dogs must be on a leash at all times and no longer than six (6) feet when outside and under the control of the handler. - No dog may be tied outside unattended. - Dog owners must pick up after their pets in all areas. - Dogs must not disturb other guests with excessive noise or aggressive or threatening behavior. - Dogs are not allowed at or in any public gathering locations and are not allowed within the seating areas of these facilities. - Dogs are not allowed in the office or playground area. - Visitors are not permitted to bring dogs onto Hominy Ridge Property unless pre-approved by owners. - The cabin renter will be held responsible. - Please be courteous, use your own area for doggie business, and clean it up! Bag it up! - The management reserves the right to prohibit any resident or guest from keeping a dog if said guest fails to observe one or more of these rules. - Visitors are not permitted to bring dogs onto Hominy Ridge Property unless pre-approved by owners. - The cabin renter will be held responsible. Minimum Stay - Additionally, there is a 2-night minimum stay, and a 3-night minimum stay during holidays, and special weekends. - Unfortunately, we only permit 1-night stays if there is 1 night sandwiched between 2 other reservations. - Otherwise, the minimum nightly requirement must be met. - Please take note that weekly cabin rentals must include a Friday and a Saturday of the same weekend, which means we cannot offer Saturday to Saturday, weekly rentals. Payment - You may pay the balance by credit card, cash, or money order, but we do not accept personal checks or American Express cards. - If you opt for the "Worry-Free Bookings" option, you will be required to pay the required payment for the option of your choice. - Furthermore, a 50% deposit is required at the time of making the reservation, and the balance is due upon check-in. - Lastly, but important to note, we will place a $250 security deposit hold on the credit card at check-in. The three-number rating that accompanies each campground listing in the directory gives readers an at-a-glance assessment of a campground's amenities, cleanliness and environment. All three ratings categories are measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best. Less than 1 percent of parks or campgrounds receive the coveted 10 | 10 | 10 rating, which indicates superior facilities that are well maintained, clean, well-appointed restrooms and a highly appealing appearance. Campgrounds are inspected annually by dedicated RVers like you.
Completeness of facilities
The first campground rating evaluates completeness and quality of facilities. In this category we rate interior roads, sites, registration area, hookups, recreation, swimming, security, laundry, store and building maintenance.
Cleanliness of restrooms and showers
The second rating category concerns the cleanliness and physical characteristics of toilets, walls, showers, sinks/counters/mirrors and floor. If a park achieves a full point in each of the above, it receives a star ( ), indicating exceptionally clean restrooms.
Also rated are physical characteristics of restrooms, including interior construction, adequate supplies/odor free, adequate number of facilities, exterior appearance and location in relation to park spaces, and interior appearance.
Visual appeal and environmental quality
This category addresses the park's setting and site layout, function and identification of signage, overall exterior building maintenance, noise, trash disposal, litter and debris around the grounds and sites, and appearance of grounds, sites and entrance area.
