Welcome to the park!
To ensure the comfort and safety of our guests, please abide by the following rules:
Check-In Procedure - Check-in: 3:00 pm. - Check-out: 12:00 pm. - Early check-in or a late checkout may be possible with prior permission and a fee. - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. Quiet Time - Quiet time is from 11 PM – 7 AM. Fire Rings - Do not move fire rings. Trash Policy - Leave your site clean, bag all trash, and dispose of it properly in the dumpsters. - Do not run or release gray/black water on the ground. Firework Policy - No fireworks of any kind. Number of Guests per Reservation - For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, we have limits on the number of people who may be at the campground per reservation. - At check-in, you will be asked to verify the number of guests staying at your site. - A limit of 6 or 8 people per site (depending on site type) will be enforced. - That total number includes both the number of people on your reservation and any day visitors. - If you have the maximum number of people on your reservation, day visitors are not allowed without prior notice. - If the number of overnight guests on your reservation allows for day visitors, those day visitors must check in at the front desk upon arrival and pay a day-pass fee. - If a day guest does not check in, the person registered to the site will be charged the required fees. After Hours & Emergency Number - Please call 911 for all emergencies. - Campground After Hours, Text number: 256-500-9111 Campsite - There is a limit of one camper unit or 1 tent per site on water/electric sites. - Site numbers are assigned at check-in - We guarantee the site type. - Site numbers are confirmed and assigned at check-in. - Customers who wish to select their site number will need to pay an additional fee, and are then guaranteed their site number Pet Rules - Leashes Required: All pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times. - Supervision: Pets should never be left unattended, inside or outside your campsite. - Noise Control: Keep pets quiet. Excessive barking or noise that disturbs others is not allowed. - If excessive barking is not contained, guests and/or pets may be asked to leave. - Clean Up After Pets: Owners must clean up pet waste immediately and dispose of it in designated trash bins. - Any guest found to not pick up after their pet is subject to a $25 pet cleanup fee per occurrence. - Restricted Areas: Pets are not allowed in playgrounds, bathrooms, showers, pools, or other posted areas. - Aggressive Pets: Aggressive behavior toward people or other animals will not be tolerated; such pets may be asked to leave. - Vaccinations: All pets must have current vaccinations; proof may be required upon request. - Limit on Pets: A maximum of 2 pets allowed per campsite, without additional fees. - Pet Safety: Keep pets safe from wildlife, weather conditions, and other hazards. - Campground Liability: Pet owners are responsible for any damage or injury caused by their pets. - Service Animals: Service animals are welcome but must comply with general behavior rules. - All campers are allowed up to two pets, either dogs or cats. - There will be a nightly or monthly pet fee for every pet above that number for the use and enjoyment of our green areas. KOA Pet Policy - Some visitors enjoy sharing the pleasures of camping with their dogs or cats. - To ensure that all guests have a safe and enjoyable experience, KOA has established some guidelines. - Call ahead before you go. - Check with the campground about its specific pet policies. - Some don't allow pets in Cabins, for example, or may have limited pet units. - Others don't accept particular breeds that insurance providers have identified as having a history of aggression. - Bring your helper. - Service dogs are welcome at all KOA Campgrounds. - Leash and aggressive behavior rules apply. - When you arrive, good behavior is required. - Dogs of any breed that are hostile or aggressive will be asked to leave the campground, along with their owners. - Bring the leash. - Dogs must be kept on leashes no longer than 6 feet when outside their owners' vehicles or rental units. - Do not leave a tethered dog unattended. - Remember manners. - Constant barking bothers other campers. - If your pet is too vocal, you'll need to find other accommodations. - Some campgrounds may charge for additional pets. Cabin Policy - The cabin rentals require a 2-day minimum. - Cabin rentals are limited to a maximum of 3 weeks and may vary per property. - No monthly rental option is available for the cabins. - Pets may or may not be allowed and are permitted on a per-cabin basis. - Cabins may require you to bring your own linens. - If linens are not provided, linens are available at the store for rent. - Always check with your guest specialist to confirm. - An excessive cleaning charge may apply if needed. Smoking Policy - Absolutely no smoking allowed, and guests will be responsible for any additional cleanup fees for smoking, with a minimum $100 charge. Rates and Payments - Monthly RV Site rates may be available. - Please call the park for more information. - A credit card is required to hold all reservations & used for the reservation deposit. - Any and all Rates are subject to change without notice. - No refunds for early departures once paid – except for monthly campers under certain conditions. - Rates are based on 2 adults and 2 children under age 17 only. Long Term Guests - Any long-term guests must be registered at the office if over 18. Speed Limit - The speed limit is 7.5 mph for everyone's safety. Vehicles and Golf Carts Policy - You are more than welcome to bring your own golf cart to the campground; however, you will need to register it & sign a waiver at the store/front desk. - All golf cart drivers must have a valid driver's license. - A maximum of vehicles that can fit on the graveled area only per site is allowed. - Extra overnight vehicle parking is allowed in the visitor parking for an extra car pass fee. - Boats are not permitted. - All vehicles require a pass to be displayed on the mirror or dashboard. - All vehicles and golf carts must obey the rules of the state and the rules of the park. - All vehicles and golf carts are to be driven on roadways only. - No ATVs, go-carts, or dirt bikes at the park – unless specifically allowed otherwise. - No parking in empty campsites, a site charge will apply, or the vehicle may have to be towed. - Golf carts are to be registered with the park for each season. - A golf cart pass is required to be on each golf cart, and proof of insurance is to be kept on file with the park. Tent Camping - Tent camping is allowed in the designated tent sites – 1 tent is allowed per site. - Only small tents, up to an 8-man tent, are allowed, with a maximum of 6 guests per tent site. Occupancy Limit - RV and Tent sites are limited to 6 people per site. - Deluxe and Super Deluxe Cabins are limited to 6 people. Discounts & Holidays Holidays - A 3-night minimum applies for all major camping holidays, including Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. - Other events and restrictions may apply. Discounts - Only one discount is available per campsite on nightly camping reservations. - No combinations are allowed. - No standard discounts are given for weekly or monthly reservations. - No standard discounts are given on rentals and activities. - A 10% discount is offered for the Good Sam Club membership card. - Membership cards must be presented at check-in. - A 10% discount is offered for active or retired military 10% discount. - A card will be required to be presented at check-in. - Military, Senior, HERO, & Good Sam Rates must be verified with the proper card at check-in. - No discounts on rentals. Taxes and Fees - All rates are subject to applicable taxes, fees, and additional charges for extra campers. - By staying at Wheeler Lake KOA, you agree to abide by these rules and policies. Liability and Permissions - Entrance into the park constitutes permission for the management of KOA and/or the specific KOA campground, marina, or resort to photograph visitors' likenesses or property while on-premises and to use any resulting pictures or videos for any lawful purposes without compensation to the visitor. - Please be aware that for your safety and security, KOA properties utilize continuous video and audio surveillance in all public areas, excluding private areas such as restrooms, shower houses, and individual camping accommodations. - By using our facilities, you consent to being recorded in these areas. - Recordings are handled and stored securely, and may be used for security purposes and as required by law. - Surveillance signage is posted throughout the property for your information. - Any visitors' pictures submitted to social media sites (like Facebook or Google) can be used by the Park without further permission. - The visitor assumes all risks and danger incidental to the activity of camping in an outdoor environment including, but not limited to, the danger of being injured by insects/animals, swimming, any game or playground equipment, structured activities/crafts sponsored by the park, any “Act of God”(see below) and not hold the park, the park owners, the park employees liable for injuries or property damages resulting from such causes. - Act of God or natural occurrence shall mean a natural occurrence such as an earthquake, flood, lightning strike, tornado, hurricane, storm, tree limbs fall, or similar equally serious act or event which has a major cataclysmic impact or effect. - The visitor assumes all risks and dangers incidentally related to any defect in land or premises or property that resulted in injury. - No employees or owners will assist visitors/campers with anything related to camper repairs, camper inspections, backing up campers, backing up tow trailers or vehicles, leveling campers, or any entry into campers. - Violation of any rule or state law is grounds for dismissal from the park without a refund. Campground Disclaimer - This property is privately owned, and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone as deemed necessary.
