Welcome to the park!
To ensure the comfort and safety of our guests, please abide by the following rules:
Registration and Arrival Check-In Procedure - CHECK OUT TIME IS NOON. - CHECK IN TIME IS 2 PM Central Standard Time. - All customers must check in at the office before going to their site. - Late arrivals need to ring the doorbell or call the main number when you arrive for an escort to your site. - Depending on availability late check-out (up to 4 pm) or early check-in may be available for a fee Monday-Thursday. - Late checkout is not available on Fridays/Saturdays and early check-in is not available on Saturdays/Sundays. - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. Quiet Hours - QUIET HOURS are from 10 pm to 8 am. - Playground, pool, and putt-putt close at dark. Specific Site Requests - Customers wishing to reserve a specific site in the park must do so from the "Map - Request Site" tab on the booking engine or by calling and making a reservation over the phone. - Email confirmations will not contain site numbers but you may email us requesting a more specific confirmation. - We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate site-specific requests however we do reserve the right to change site numbers if necessary. No Show Policy - If a customer fails to show up (no show) and does not notify us by 2 pm the following day, they will lose their reservation on that site. - Multiple no-shows may result in not being able to make future reservations. Entrance Gates - We use an automated license plate reader to open the gates to our park. - Included with your stay is registration for two vehicles and one camping unit (trailer or motorhome). - Additional plate registrations must be made by the registered camper and will cost an additional $5 per registered vehicle. - Please no tailgating through the gates. Garbage Policy - We do garbage pick up at your site! Please leave your bagged trash at the end of your site anytime before sunset. - We also have trash receptacles around the park. - We do recycle cans. - There are recycling cans throughout the park. - Please do not leave trash outside overnight and do not put any trash in the firepits! Speed Limit - THE CAMPGROUND SPEED LIMIT IS 5 MPH. - Please use designated roadways, do not cut through sites or park on the grass. - Please watch for children! Restrooms and Laundry - At check-in, you will be given codes for the restrooms or laundry. Wristbands Policy - WRISTBANDS may be required on busy weekends to use the facilities. - Wristbands will be given at check-in. Visitor Policy - Please let us know if you are receiving visitors. - All visitors must register before entering the campground. - Visitors are allowed in the campground from 8 am to 10 pm. - All visitors wishing to drive their vehicle back to the campground must get a parking pass for $5 and be added to the gate system. - If your visitors wish to use the facilities: pool, mini golf, showers, arcade, or playground, or if they are spending the night they will need to purchase a wristband for $5 per person. - Visitors must park on the gravel in your site or in a parking space at the front of the main building (place pass on dash). - Please do not park on the grass or on the road. - You are responsible for the behavior of your guests as well as any damage caused to the campground. Pet Policy - Furry friends are welcome! - All pets must be on a physical leash at all times when outside your camper. - We do have two fenced-in, off-leash dog parks. - Please clean up after your pet both on your site and around the campground. - Pet waste stations are provided throughout the campground. - A $10 pet clean-up fee may be charged for not cleaning up after your pet. - NO aggressive breeds or animals. Please manage excessive barking. - If you leave your site, pets must be inside a climate-controlled vehicle. - Pets are not allowed in the cabin, playground, pool area, or the bathhouse/laundry. - Aggressive pets or pets continuously off-leash will be asked to leave and future reservations may be canceled. - Please no horses or livestock. - No more than 3 pets on a site. - Pets must be current on vaccinations, supervised, excessive barking controlled, and ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES. - Please no horses or livestock. - Customers who do not follow the rules will be asked to leave without a refund and or prevented from making future reservations. Electric Vehicles - Customers wishing to charge their electric vehicles must let park staff know they have an electric vehicle at check-in to ensure we place you in a spot that can handle the increased electrical load. - We use automated software to detect excessive electrical consumption. - Depending on rig type and electric vehicle additional charges may apply. General Rules - For the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all our customers, please adhere to the following: - The Double Nickel is a daily rate campground. - No refunds for shortened stays. - The Double Nickel is a private campground; use of the facilities is for customers and registered visitors only. - Please do not change your assigned site without office approval. - We reserve the right to limit site occupancy to no more than two unrelated parties at a time. Tents Policy - Tents are permitted on certain RV sites with the permission of Double Nickel Management for an additional fee. - Tent sites are limited to a maximum stay of 5 days, one household per site. Golf Policy - Personal golf carts are permitted in the campground but must be driven by a licensed, insured driver and follow the same rules as a car. Please no "joyriding." - The Sandy Meadows Golf Course is private property; please keep to the campground side of the white posts at all times. Children Policy - Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times. - Children aged 2 and under stay free. Fire Policy - No cutting of trees or shrubs. - Firewood sold at the office. - Campfires are allowed only in fire rings. - Please do not put trash in firepits. - All use of firearms or fireworks is strictly prohibited in the campground. Equipment Policy - Running of generators is prohibited. - No electric splitters: power pedestal wiring is rated for one connection per site. - Please do not move or remove porch swings or firepits. - Moving swings damages the frame. - The equipment, apparatus, and facilities furnished are solely for the convenience of guests and all persons using them do so at their own risk. Vehicle Policy - No washing vehicles or campers at the site. (Using a squeegee and bucket on the windshield is permitted) Alcohol policy - We are a family-friendly campground no public intoxication, drinking games or lewd behavior will be tolerated. - Please do not consumption of alcoholic beverages in public spaces such as the pool, playground, or mini-golf. Pool Rules - There is no lifeguard provided at the pool. - All persons using the pool do so at their own risk. The pool is under video surveillance. - Children under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult in the pool area at all times. - Unattended children will be asked to leave the pool. - Non-toilet-trained children must wear a swim diaper. - No alcoholic beverages and no glass containers allowed in the pool area. - No food or drink allowed within six feet of the water’s edge. - Please keep it on the chairs and tables. - Emergency phone located in the pool area. Cabin Information - The maximum number of people is six. - There is a two-night minimum on weekends, and a night minimum on holiday weekends. - The minimum age is 21 to rent a cabin. - No pets are allowed in the cabin. - No smoking in the cabin. - A cleaning deposit may be required. - The maximum stay is one week. - No late checkouts available for the cabin. - The cabin has one full bed, twin bunk bed (weight limit 150lbs on bunks), and pull-out couch bed. - Linens are not provided. Cabin occupancy is limited to a single household. Disclaimer - The management will not be responsible for accidents, injuries, or loss of property by fire, theft, wind, or any act of God. - Failure to comply with these rules or other requests by management will result in immediate eviction, with no refund or termination of future reservations. - The booking engine may contain technical inaccuracies and typographical or other errors in connection with information displayed on the site, including without limitation rates, fees, or availability applicable to your transaction. - The Double Nickel Campground assumes no responsibility or liability for such errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. - Double Nickel Campground shall have the right not to honor reservations or information affected by such errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. - Double Nickel Campground shall have the right to make changes, corrections, cancellations, and/or improvements to such information or reservations based on such information, at any time, including after confirmation of a reservation. - Only one discount code may be used per reservation and discounts cannot be used on weekly, monthly, or seasonal rates.

The three-number rating that accompanies each campground listing in the directory gives readers an at-a-glance assessment of a campground's amenities, cleanliness and environment. All three ratings categories are measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best. Less than 1 percent of parks or campgrounds receive the coveted 10 | 10 | 10 rating, which indicates superior facilities that are well maintained, clean, well-appointed restrooms and a highly appealing appearance. Campgrounds are inspected annually by dedicated RVers like you.
Completeness of facilities
The first campground rating evaluates completeness and quality of facilities. In this category we rate interior roads, sites, registration area, hookups, recreation, swimming, security, laundry, store and building maintenance.
Cleanliness of restrooms and showers
The second rating category concerns the cleanliness and physical characteristics of toilets, walls, showers, sinks/counters/mirrors and floor. If a park achieves a full point in each of the above, it receives a star ( ), indicating exceptionally clean restrooms.
Also rated are physical characteristics of restrooms, including interior construction, adequate supplies/odor free, adequate number of facilities, exterior appearance and location in relation to park spaces, and interior appearance.
Visual appeal and environmental quality
This category addresses the park's setting and site layout, function and identification of signage, overall exterior building maintenance, noise, trash disposal, litter and debris around the grounds and sites, and appearance of grounds, sites and entrance area.
