We stayed 2 nights twice in 3 months while traveling through the area on a return visit. The park is a short drive from CA-58 (Exit 119: Edison Rd) along a 2-lane rural road. Sufficient registration parking. Didn’t pay the site lock fee so wasn’t assigned the reserved site (#166 & 147) on either visit. There is a $5.00 on line booking fee. Sufficient registration parking. Didn’t pay the site lock fee so wasn’t assigned the reserved site (#166 & 147) on either visit. There is a $5.00 on line booking fee. The interior roads are hard surface (paved, concrete or compacted material). Some of them are starting to break up. Saw a sign advising of road repair to be done in Spring, 2024. The interior roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV’s for experienced drivers. The sites are mostly pull throughs with a few pull-ins and back ins. The parking pads are compacted material. The P/T sites were long enough to say connected to a toad. The sites were generally level and flat. Sites had sufficient room for opening slides but there was some Orange tree encroachment. Distance and trees establish privacy between the sites. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. Utility connections were about mid site. The sewer connection was at the ground level so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. There was an outside table but no fire pits. Some of the sites appear to be extended stay sites. There were quite a few trees scattered throughout the park and around the perimeter so satellite reception would be dependent upon your site, dish configuration and time of year. Was able to get DISH programing with a portable dish sitting on the ground. Saw several other dishes (including DIRECTV) sitting on the ground. The New Park brochure doesn’t list any Cable or OTA channels. But prior brochure listed 60 “Cable and Air TV channels”. Scan revealed about 72 OTA channels (including the 4 major networks, several shopping & non-English channels). Used the cable service for local major networks. The park returned to not providing WiFi. There was WiFi service for a fee ($2/day or other options) which required registration. Had trouble with Winegard AIR 360+ for WiFi so had to purchase the WiFi service. It was adequate for travel research and checking email. Didn’t try the NET10 phone so don’t know about cell phone reception. There were three designated fenced pet areas. A small one with a grass surface located near the office, another near a bathroom building with a grass surface and another larger one in a corner of the park with a dirt surface. There were bag dispensers and collection stations for waste in the fenced pet area and scattered around the park. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park’s roads. There was a warning about a pack of 3 wild dogs in the area. The Park was working with animal control to eliminate the problem. There was some distant train noise.

We would stay here again for more than just 1 night when traveling through the area. TIP: Pretty rural area. Didn’t seem to be many services nearby. Park brochure showed a couple pizza delivery services but don’t know how close they were. Park allows picking the oranges off the trees but prohibits climbing the trees to get the oranges. There was also an RV Wash rack available. Make reservations as it seems to fill up.

Checked in without engaging office staff but found them pleasant when returning to the office to ask a question. The park was large and nicely laid out, the roads were paved and easy to navigate and two of the three small dog parks had grass. This site had a gravel surface that was level on pull up – not a common occurrence – and was long but the hook ups were more toward the front of the site. They had a fairly extensive cable tv listing (59 digital channels), good over the air access to channels but the WiFi was non-existent. When hooking up to the utilities, there was no water pressure as they have been working on a pump issue for a week – they had information posted on the office door and in the information packet. The issue was not with the water itself but in the lack of communication to incoming guests regarding the situation. There have been a number of parks who have had issues come up and they communicated days or weeks in advance about the issue by mail, email, phone call or text offering us a chance to cancel or modify our reservations – we did not make any changes. With the water issue, we could have bought more water in advance. But knowing about a potential issue before arriving is good business. In terms of connectivity: WiFi had technical difficulties T-Mobile 3.79 down/3.68 up Verizon 119.0 down/25.0 up. Would stay here again if in the area.

Stayed here on our return trip from North CA to TN. We came via I80& I90 and decided to return via I40. We were among the orange trees but they weren't tall enough to provide any shade. The bathhouse was clean but not air conditioned which was disappointing as it was HOT and the water was hot as well (no cold water). The pool likes nice as does the club house. We arrived after 5 so we never encountered any staff. Expensive for just staying one night.

We recently purchased a travel trailer and are very new to RV resort camping, but we chose Orange Grove RV Park as our first trip due to its proximity being under 100 miles from where we live. It was well worth it! Their reservation system is easy to use, and I loved that I was able to specifically select the site I wanted using their site map. It was a lovely full-hookup, pull-thru space right on the end. I only wish we were there during orange picking season, as I imagine it is wonderfully fragrant to be within the orange groves. The only reason I gave a 4 star rating is that there isn't any WiFi in the resort currently. There was a paper enclosed with our reservation information that says they are in the process of upgrading their internet. We brought our own personal WiFi hotspot which had somewhat reasonable LTE coverage. The resort is conveniently close to shopping, and other attractions in the Bakersfield area. We visited the CALM zoo which is approximately 6 miles away. For those that are sensitive to freeway noise, I recommend reserving a spot on the opposite side of the park, but that didn't bother us at all. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here on our way to Arizona and on the return trip. Gravel sites, gravel roads. Orange trees are gorgeous, but close to RV and we definitely couldn't use awnings. Didn't use the facilities or pool. Lots of road noise, seems like all night long. Easy on/off from highway 58. Fruit packing store around the corner with fresh oranges and dried nuts and fruits, make sure you add a definite stop.

This place has very very very little lighting. We went for a walk at 9pm and without a flashlight you are screwed. Dark dark dark. At 106 during day we like a night walk. Very unsafe here. Would not recommend if want to be out at night or even if arriving for a spot after dark. We checked in at 3pm and absolutely no human contact at all.

What a great night. The orange trees were blooming, so the aroma of orange blossoms filled the air. The staff were friendly and helpful. They had a reservation packet made up for us, with directions to our site. You can pick the oranges for free...bring a picker because almost all the fruit reachable from the ground is picked quickly, and you cannot use ladders or climb the trees....makes sense to protect guests and trees. Easy on and off 58 E or W. Didn't use restrooms, but if the rest of the park... Read More

We also liked that as it wasn't full it seemed like they were spacing out the people staying just a night or two by leaving an empty site between sites being used. Didn't use the restrooms so not able to comment on them but would expect they'd be in decent condition based on what we saw from the rest of the park? We'll stay here again if our travels take us this way, and would enjoy staying more than the 1 day we did, but probably see about a spot farther from the roadways.

Easy access off of Hwy 58, easy check-in. Big park among the orange trees. Only spent one night with water and electric but thought the value good. Would return.

Our first time here. The plan was to stay one night, but once we got here we extended our stay an extra night. Where else can you pick oranges and eat them at your campsite? And they offer donuts and coffee every morning! The laundry, bathrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. I have never used a RV Parks showers before, but I used these! Highly recommend this place!

It would be nice if management spaced out the guests a bit more (park was maybe %25 occupied) or maybe grouped them by type. Must visit Tehachapi, a small historic town in the high desert. Great RR Museum highlites the Tehachapi Loop. Alpaca farm nearby is a fun stop. Lots of produce farms in Bakersfield area, but otherwise not the most appealing city to visit.

A beautiful rv park! Like an oasis in the middle of the desert. We loved the sites with orange trees between each one. Full hook-up with cable all for $40 with Good Sam. Grounds are awesome and bathroom facilities are SPOTLESS. We would definitely stay here again. Hate to leave.

Large park with orange trees for virtually every site. Wide concrete drives with long gravel sites. Plenty of room for even the biggest rigs. This is the off season for this area but park is still very well maintained. We just did a stop over here as did quite a few other RV'ers. Nice simple stocked convenience items. Pool looked inviting but had quite a few children having fun so we didn't dip. In season you can pick all the oranges you want to eat.

We stayed for just one night passing thru the area. Enjoyed the facility very much. Sites are gravel and fairly level. We had a beautiful sunset the night we were there. The campground is very clean. They have an RV wash station, and free donuts and coffee in the AM. Very reasonable prices, quiet, clean, safe, outside of the city, nestled in an orange grove. We'll be back another day for another stay.

We spent several nights at Orange Grove and found it to be a beautiful, well groomed and spacious campground. Easy on/off access from the #58 freeway heading east out of Bakersfield, CA. Every site has it's own orange tree (unfortunately they aren't ripe for eating until Dec - March). Fresh bakery every morning along with good coffee. Helpful staff both on the phone and during our stay. Nice pool, laundry, everything clean and big lots. Great place for short or long term visitors.

I was here for 3 nights. Nice people, nice level sites, super clean bathrooms and laundry. The wifi worked really well. My pull-through site was easy to locate and get in and out of. It was easy on-off of CA 58. Nice fruit & nut market just down the street for local produce.

No reservations but had no problem getting in this time of year, pleasant front desk staff. Aptly named as you are in the middle of a producing orange grove, winter campers are invited to pick some. Beautiful clubhouse great for relaxing in lots of space with a fireplace, great for groups. Just off highway; but did hear a few loud train whistles.

We stayed 1 night twice in 3 months while traveling through the area. The park was accommodating in changing our reservations when we ran into a weather delay. The park is a short drive from CA-58 (Exit 119: Edison Rd) along a 2-lane rural road. Sufficient registration parking. Didn’t pay the site lock fee but was assigned the reserved site. There is a $5.00 on line booking fee. Didn’t seem to get the GS discount on the second stay. The interior roads are hard surface (paved, concrete or... Read More

The interior roads are hard surface (paved, concrete or compacted material). The interior roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV’s for experienced drivers. The sites are mostly pull throughs with a few pull-ins. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. There was an outside table and charcoal grill but no fire pits. The park brochure listed 60 “Cable and Air TV channels”. Scan revealed 72 OTA channels. Used the cable service for local major networks. The park didn’t provide WiFi on the first stay. There was WiFi service for a fee ($2/day or other options) which required registration. Used the Winegard AIR 360+ for WiFi. It was adequate for travel research. On the second stay, there was a 24 hour access voucher for 2 devices which was sufficient for travel research. Didn’t try the NET10 phone so don’t know about cell phone reception. There were two designated fenced pet areas. A small one with a grass surface located near the office and another larger one in a corner of the park. There were bag dispensers and collection stations for waste in the fenced pet area and scattered around the park. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park’s roads.

Orange Grove RV Park was our 88th stop and we stayed for 2 nights nights as a transit point to Sequoia National Park. Orange Grove RV Park was our 88th stop and we stayed for 2 nights nights as a transit point to Sequoia National Park.

I have discovered that RV parks along the southern I40 route are about double the price of the parks on the northern route. This park was easy to find and maneuver around. It is near train tracks with trains running all night. We run a white noise machine at night so it didn't both us. Our spot was a pull-thru that was gravel and level. It is near train tracks with trains running all night. We run a white noise machine at night so it didn't both us. Our spot was a pull-thru that was gravel and level.
