I have visited hundreds of RV resorts across the country, and I have found none better than Outdoor Resorts Palm Springs (known as ORPS) located 6.5 miles from downtown Palm Springs, CA. There are so many amenities to enjoy here such as 2 large clubhouses both with pools and hot tubs, 6 satellites with laundry, pools, and hot tubs. A beautifully kept 18-hole, par 3 golf course, along with an additional back 9 course. 13 pickleball courts, 10 tennis courts, and quilters club, cornhole tournaments,... Read More

On top of all those activities, they have free entertainment at one of the clubhouses at least 3 times a week with bands, dancing, karaoke, and Singo (Bingo with music and song titles). Within 15 miles or less there are will over 200 restaurants and shops, and less than 100 miles from San Diego, Los Angeles, and the Pacific coast. If you are bored here, it is your own fault. The resort consists of 1213 lots owned by individuals with some being rented out throughout the year, but rentals go quickly, with January thru March being the hardest times to get a rental, so book early. One last thing, the weather is Palm Springs area in the winter is fantastic, with little rain, moderate temperatures and little to no humidity. The resort benefits from the mountains just to the west which block most of the rain and wind that other areas just north of the resort deal with throughout the year. This 5-star resort is truly paradise in the desert.

First of all, they call this place Outdoor Resort "Palm Springs"....NOT TRUE! This resort is located in "Cathedral City" not Palm Springs. Believe me there is a big difference. Crime, Noise, Homeless population. I wouldn't go here for a few years until they finish the construction of the facility to the west of the resort. The wind, dirt and trash that blows from the west and through the resort is UNBELIEVABLE !!! You literally cannot have an awning or umbrella open because it will get ripped to... Read More

The wind blows 24/7, and I'm talking 30mph on an average day. The dirt blowing across the resort from the construction of the facility is disgusting! You will have to keep all your windows closed or your RV interior will be covered in dirt! I heard that back in the day, this place was really nice...not so much now!
