Stayed three nights in 35' class A with toad in site #87. Space was somewhat level gravel. Fairly large site. I feel like it was over priced for time of year and condition of the park. It would be very tight quarters in the busy season, but was sparsely occupied. Was a good place to stay with full hookups while visiting Yosemite during the day. Did not use any facilities. Only spoke with staff by telephone and they were friendly and helpful. Smokehouse 41 BBQ in nearby town was quite good. Read More

I'm always puzzled why they call it an RV resort, because the photographs on the web page do NOT even closely reflect what this place is. All the grass is dead and dry so therefore the place is very dusty. We couldn't even take our dog there to the dog park because it was pure dirt. It's very important to note that the South entrance to Yosemite National Park is 20+ mi from this RV resort. However, you still have to drive another 30+ miles more on very narrow mountainous winding roads to Yosemite... Read More

Make sure you bring the Dramamine if you have issues with car sickness. The bathrooms and showers were clean and the staff on the phone was extremely helpful. It's regrettable that this place is so worn down because with a little bit of tender loving care it could be a really beautiful spot.

Located in a pretty area outside Yosemite. with rolling hills. This park is well maintained and the restrooms were like new and well maintained. Great staff that was friendly and helpful. We would definitely return to this park. To visit Yosemite, use the South entrance to the national park.
This is an RVC park which is quite large! It also has a variety of cabins, tents, yurts, and semi-permanent tents. The facilities are updated and modern. I was impressed at the bathrooms- best I've seen so far. This is a good park if visiting Yosemite (which is still easily an hour or so drive). The town of Coarsegold is also cute with flea markets and old mining town charm. The park itself has a variety of sites- our original site was cramped and un-level but once the weekend crowd thinned out,... Read More

The manager was very accommodating in that respect. The wifi and Verizon service were decent (not full bars but enough to get by) and we got good cable.

Like others have said, this park is under renovation. Our stay was very pleasant, the sight was very nice, fairly level and a excellent patio right outside our door. The staff was friendly, and we frequently saw park personnel touring the park. There is a dog park which was an unexpected surprise. The power was reliable, the water was clean although a little low on pressure at 30 PSI. The Wifi signal was good and streamed Pandora with no interruptions. This park is more of a rustic place with modern amenities consistent with the forested surrounding. It is not a barren, concrete paved RV parking lot with no character. If that's your preference, you probably wont like it here. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will return.

This park is a work in progress. The bathrooms, laundry room, and office are newly renovated, and kept very clean. The pool was clean and the pool furniture appeared to be new. The staff was amazing - very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there is a lot of work to be done to bring the RV sites up to standards. The sites are close together, unlevel and not well kept. The setup of the loop we were in required us to back up, out of our pull-thru site, in order to exit, as the previous exit... Read More

The staff was amazing - very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there is a lot of work to be done to bring the RV sites up to standards. The sites are close together, unlevel and not well kept. The setup of the loop we were in required us to back up, out of our pull-thru site, in order to exit, as the previous exit road was permanently closed after septic lines were installed. This left only a narrow road on a curve that was blocked by trees on one side, with low hanging branches, and vehicles extending from other sites. We saw other campers having trouble exiting as well. Our tow vehicle only fit because we were on an end site. We were able to open all 3 slideouts, but it was a tight fit. They still have a long way to go with regard to the RV sites. It was also hard to find the entrance to the park as there are no signs prior to the entry. This park definitely has a lot of potential. I hope they continue with their renovations, bringing the park up to a full 5-star rating.

Very nice campground, in the process of some major renovations. Escorted to site, very friendly helpful staff. Sites were large, level and roomy with nice fire ring. No lighting, bring your flashlight. Laundry area clean, but pricey.
