Beautiful country spoiled by poor electrical and plumbing. First day we had no water and for the next 5 days there wasn’t a single one where our power didn’t go out for an extended period (bring a generator). What was most annoying was that the staff sort of just shrugged and said ‘it is what it is’. Spots can be very difficult to get into if you have a larger trailer (35 ft). Lots of trees and narrow travel lanes. Narrow spots that can be very out of level. The first come first serve policy on... Read More

Not a place you want to be exploring around with a trailer in tow trying to find a spot. Their ‘overflow’ solution is a large parking lot that can feel like the surface of the sun during the summer.

This place is in a beautiful location. It 'could' be someplace special, BUT it's far from it in it's current condition. The roads through the park are atrocious and dangerous. They are better suited for Jeep Jamboree or should be part of the Rubicon Trail. If you want to shake every nut, bolt, and weld loose on your rig, then this is the place for you. It took us one hour to travel the 1.8 miles to the Tahoe loop campsites. Typical 1000 Trails first come first served is bad enough, here, forget... Read More

You don't want to be driving around one second more than you have to. Signage is terrible or nonexistent, good luck figuring out where you are. The sites are in the trees and could be nice, but they are poorly marked and in disrepair. Tables are only at about 50% of the sites and others have tables like shown in my photo (site #4 Tahoe loop). Debris, rocks, tree limbs and branches litter all sites. The power goes off 1 or 2 times daily. Did I mention the roads? This place has potential. it needs $$$ and about 30 employees to give it the TLC it deserves. I doubt 1000 Trails will do it. Sad.
