Bring your Boat or Ride the Party Boats from Noyo Harbor
Great fishing abounds here! From Rock Cod to Salmon, Halibut & Tuna. It doesn't get any better. Half day or all day & Lost Coast trips, all close to Fort Bragg. One of the best Northern California Whale Watching areas.
There's Something For Everyone In Fort Bragg!
There are several beaches within a close distance for hiking, exploring tide pools and even whale watching. The Festival of Lights at the Botanical Gardens is a family favorite not to be missed! Don't forget the Skunk Train!
Loved the location Loved the sites Showers were NOT what I expected since they get a "10" on the Good Sam site. Floors were pretty gross and curtains had mold on them. But again the location and the sites are worth it
Great park clean large sites safe
In July 2020, Employees both in the office and field are slow witted and not pleasant to be around. We've been RV'g for maybe going back to the late 70's and done lots of traveling but can't remember when a reservation required a deposit mailed in the form of a check, subsequently the balance needed to be check or cash. As a retired person who worked generally against the IRS I can only surmise why a business only accepts cash or check. A 5 mph speed limit is required of the guests but not the... Read More

A 5 mph speed limit is required of the guests but not the speeding employee in the golf cart or while he's driving the backhoe, he's always in a hurry.
Why were their so many children biking when they aren't allowed?
Poorly managed and run, we won't be back!

The campground manager was very helpful and nice. The park is very well maintained, beautiful shade trees over most of the sites. The sites have plenty of vegetation between that make you feel reasonably private. The camp store has a fair selection of things their visitors may have forgotten. Good location for visiting the Ft. Bragg / Mendocino coast.
The location of the resort of 101 just south of SR-20 is excellent. The space we had was ample in size and for the most easy to get in to. However, as other people have pointed out, customer service is not their strong suit. We had booked a 50 amp site, only to find the 50 amp breaker looked. So my wife had to walk back to the office to have someone come unlock it. Then there is the WiFi, or should I say lack of. We were on the north side of the park and forget logging on to pomorv3. None of our neighbors could either. The office provided lame excuses like too many people are using up the bandwidth to download movies (not the case) or when you call we tell you its spotty or my favorite, we don't charge you for it. Really, sure you do. Its built into your pricing model. Zero customer service. A hot, 7 minute minute shower will cost you an additional $1.25 If you want to be close to Fort Bragg then this place is great, just don't get your hopes up for the amenities listed. Had we been prepared for that, then we would probably had a better experience.

Nice RV Park. Lots of space with trees around each space. A little tough to get around with a big rig, but doable. Internet not that good. Unfortunately, there were several campers who were loud and noisy which the owners dealt with. Haven't experienced that in quite awhile. Didn't use any facilities. This is a great area of the country to visit. Make sure you are ready for the drive from Willit through the mountains. Caught is by surprise and it is not fun in a 40' motorhome towing
Sites are all divided by bushes and beautiful giant trees that make you feel like you're camped alone in the middle of a forest. Very private sites, but big enough to park in easily. The registration office almost scared me off, as it's not very pretty, but the rest of the park was great. We'll look forward to coming back again.
We travel to Fort Bragg every May and September and always stay at Pomo. We have been doing this since the early '80's. This trip we stayed for 10 nights and once again had a very enjoyable visit. The office staff and maintenance crew are always friendly and efficient at check-in and during our stay. The sites are large and secluded with easy access. Firewood is very fairly priced and the store carries a lot of information regarding the local attractions. While in the area, be sure to try the breakfast... Read More

We stayed for 5 days, not being able to us a credit card was an inconvenience, the office staff seems confused, but what really got my blood boiling was a old friend stopped to see us. He was told he could only stay 15 minutes or he would be charged for overnight!! Then the maintenance crew was cleaning the space behind ours and our dogs were in our Fifth Wheel, they barked and the office staff was on the phone complaining! We won't be back nor will we recommend this park.
The park was easy to get to and not far from shopping or sites such as Glass Beach or Mendocino Botanical Gardens. The camping sites themselves are very private with gravel and picnic table. Nice, quiet and pet friendly. Just need to remember to bring coins for the shower and cash to pay for your rental space as they do not accept credit/debit cards.
This is a nice facility. However, it is family owned and not very professional or cordial. They accept cash only and expect you to mail a personal check to hold a reservation. Do not expect to see that money again once it is sent. I will not go back just based on my experience with the woman working the desk and their complete lack of flexibility.
Pomo is in a very nice setting but found it to be less than a fun place. We are older campers (60+) traveling with older friends. It is very quiet place, like library quiet. They have a real problem with any noise even during the day time and early evening. Not the best place for lively children or adults. We have been there several times and observed the owner complaining to families each time. The park is conveniently located off Hwy 1 but does not overlook the ocean. The entrance is pretty tight... We have been there several times and observed the owner complaining to families each time. The park is conveniently located off Hwy 1 but does not overlook the ocean. The entrance is pretty tight and gets congested easily. Patience will be needed in the office when things get busy. Double check, triple check your reservations. They use an old school, hand written, ledger system where things get messed up readily. The grounds are kept neat and orderly. The bathrooms/showers are clean. The showers are coin operated so understand how to operate the valves before you put your money in. The is no sign to explain how to get hot water so you might get a cold one.

This is a very nice campground. DO NOT TRUST YOUR GPS to find it!! We wound up on a very bad road. The sites are mostly surrounded by trees & brush making them very private, but it also makes the WIFI a little spotty.
Very nice campground with lots of privacy in each spot. Clean and easy to find. Only thing is that they do not accept credit/debit cards and it doesn't say anything like that on their website. Only take cash or check. Other than that it was a nice place.
This is an amazing park and deserves the highest rating. The spaces are large, private & immaculate. Each space is surrounded by trees and privacy barriers. The spots are level, clean and well kept. The facilities are very nice as well. The only problem with this park is that do not expect to make a reservation on the fly unless someone else has cancelled. We were lucky enough to do just that. This is the best park that we have stayed at so far on our journey. I recommend it to everyone.
Excellent park. probably much nicer with a little rain. Wide roads, wide spaces, centrally located bathroom facilities, small store, easy to find and within 5 min of central city, friendly staff. Cash or check only is a little inconvienence but doable.
The only thing I suggest is that if you make a reservation here and change how many nights you are staying, make sure they have the right information. I know I changed our stay to two nights from three and still got charged for three. Was not happy.
A nice quiet campground with good, level, private spaces, newly remodeled bathrooms and showers.... Just be careful they do your checkin right! We were reserved for 3 nights, but when we checked in, telling them the correct leaving date, they wrote the arrival date on the windshield hanger tag that says what your last day is, and only charged us for two nights... Imagine our surprise when someone from the office arrived at our site a little after noon, just catching us before we went out for... Read More

Imagine our surprise when someone from the office arrived at our site a little after noon, just catching us before we went out for the day and told us to get out! No discussion, no attempt to find a solution, (another site?), but just "you're not supposed to be here, other people are coming for your site".
Yea we packed up as quick as we could and won't be back.
She could have at least been nice about it and acknowledged THEIR mistake!
We had thought we had found a nice place to stay on our frequent trips to that area, but with that sort of attitude from the staff....nah.

One of our favorites. Easy check-in, friendly helpful staff. The park staff is always busy keeping the park clean and neat. We had site number 3 on the front row. Large level back-in with nice separation between sites. Restroom/shower facilities were undergoing an expansion and update, but were still usable and were clean. Close to all the attractions in the area. We will definitely stay here again.
