Grounds are poorly maintained with lots of broken sprinklers causing depleted grass. Lots of full-timers with old broken down rigs. Right against the 101 Hwy- extremely noisy! Not worth what they charge.

For an RV park, mixed with tent camping and cabin rentals, I’d highly recommend. For a full park we didn’t meet a single rude or disrespectful person. Park was quiet, small Grass patch with bench, great and easy hook ups. They had a heated pool, with clear directions everywhere, of what is allowed or not. AWESOME little playground for various ages. My toddler even was able to enjoy himself. Not a huge area for dogs, but a dog part is right up road. Our cell service (Verizon) and their WiFi wasn’t... Read More

Our cell service (Verizon) and their WiFi wasn’t good, but we don’t go to camp to be on our screens. We were able to get some here and there for some down time for the little guy. Little market/check in had a wide range of supplies, rv supplies, toys, drinks, alcohol (even wine), some food options, camping gear etc.. Central location as well. 101 near by, Walgreens, dog park, tractor supply and more all right there. The river was the only thing I was bummed about, but hey it’s California and in a drought. Just don’t expect to go fishing or a pleasant view of a beautiful flowing river ??

We arrived ready for 3 days of relaxing and visiting the redwoods. We have been traveling now for 3 weeks. We pulled off hwy 101 where we immediately saw the RV park. Driving down a very busy service road we pulled into The Riverwalk RV Park. The park is nestled right between Hwy 101 and a very busy road, "Riverwalk drive". We are talking hwy 101 about 600 feet from the service drive. As we drove into our site, we were able to see the park, where several rv's are permanent homes for families... Read More

As we drove into our site, we were able to see the park, where several rv's are permanent homes for families as evidenced by the clutter outside. The closest bathrooms, located at the little store are closed, so one must walk over to the shower house where there is a woman's and a men's restroom outside the showers. They are fairly clean, small, but clean enough. When I explained to the girl at the desk we would only stay 1 night, she stated that they will not refund us the other 2 nights, which legally they can't do. Credit card company will agree with us on this. The river is no where to be found, nor are the redwoods. The campers are close, but the problem is not the closeness of the other Rv's, it the sewer hookup which is, hello, right out my door, smelly like sewer. Pool and spa, well, okay, it's I guess a pool, spa, not so sure. Closed anyhow. Why are these reviews from the parks, accompanied by pictures so deceitful? Read all reviews, along with the dates. I can't understand where a 10 rating comes from, maybe the people who wrote it haven't been to a 10, maybe, I don't understand it. But if your looking for a place to rest quietly for the night do not reserve in this park. We have stayed in some "ok" parks, and some excellent, true 10 rating parks, this is neither, hence the 1 star., which I'm giving a 1 for the cement pad and electric hook up with cable. Safe and happy travels. The McThieles.

Very nice place to stay. We arrived late, but all the paperwork was in order. The slot we stayed in would have been good for a shorter rig. We couldn't pull in all the way because of the severe decline in the front of the slot, but we made due. I think we were just the unlucky ones because other slots looked good. The next morning we were greeted as soon as we poked our heads out; very, very pleasant people! They seemed to have a very nice convenience store onsite. But their laundromat could've... Read More

But their laundromat could've been a little better kept ...broken machines with a complainer saying it's been like that for quite a while. Maybe if people didn't turn RV parks into trailer parks, there wouldn't be problems (?).

My wife and I spent a week here celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. Staff & owners was very nice. Sites are spacious, park like. All aspects of the park were very clean.

Nice place to stay, we will return if our travels take us this way. Restrooms are a bit dated and, although cleaned daily, there are a lot of people using the limited space. Internet access is okay and there are a lot of TV channels on the free cable. In August the grass space around the parking slots is brown and dry because of the drought and limits on water use. The pet areas are kept watered which is good given the $1 per day per pet. Although this park is close to 101 neither of us were... Read More

Starbucks and grocery stores located near by (drive not walk)

Lots of freeway noise and awakening disturbances in the night. Men in woman's shower area. Not impressed and would not revisit.

This is a must stop for us whenever we venture down to N. California. Far enough off the freeway that you get very little noise this well maintained park has become a favorite. I always plan our stay around laundry time as the clean and comfortable laundry facilities make the job less difficult. Staff has always been friendly and efficient. Sites are paved and have a nice grassy area to put your chairs to relax. Make this a base for exploring the redwoods and Eureka and Ferndale. Don't... Read More

Excellent location, we overnighted here, the only drawback was the narrow roadway, for a 40' MH to enter our assigned site, it was extremely tight, as other's had their 5th Wheel tow vehicles and "toads" parked into the roadway, making it difficult to get a wide "swing" into our site, having to drive over the grassy area somewhat. Great layout, we walked to the Eel River Brewery down the street for dinner, nice walk, but walking back in the rain wasn't the greatest!! :-) Should have driven. The... Read More

The park is lush with greenery, for being so close to Hwy 101, was very quiet. We couldn't park out tow car in out site, and additional parking for your tow, if you have a big rig, may not be available. Nice paved pads, nice little store, great customer service, the entire park shows pride of ownership in every aspect. Convenient to shopping, banks, post office, super markets, restaurants, country atmosphere yet village close!! Definitely select this park to stay, when in the area, we will definitely be back.
