We booked four night so that we could enjoy Yosemite, but this place is just trashy. The only places that were mowed were the individual campsites. The rest of it was overgrown. They advertise WIFI but it was out, here's the kicker. If it had been working , there is a fee to use it. They could move us to an area with WIFI but no sewer hookup. and they charge a fee for the dump. Checked out the bathrooms and showers , they were filthy. Needless to say, we left after one night. Just an unkept, overgrown camp that will nickel and dime you to death.

decided to do a family-orientated campground. we have a class A motorhome the sites were wide enough but leveling it was a real problem. plugged in the power pal and told us there was no ground "inadequate to plug in" husband went to office and was told "that's just the way it is." after seeing other RVs plugged in we did as well no issues. We have Verizon & hot spot and no signal at all. wont be back
Haven't seen any current reviews on this campground so here goes mine... We stayed here last week March 28th thru April 3rd. This location is just OK, it serves it's purpose of having a place to sleep! We have a 20ft travel trailer and had just enough room to put a couple chairs out (small area). The campground was ok, the pool was not open so we can't comment on that. Although we did not use their restrooms I did check them out and they were not too clean. Also would not want to take a shower in... Read More

Also would not want to take a shower in those stalls. The reception Lady was not very friendly, almost as if we were bugging her LOL.. There was another Lady there on a separate occasion which was much more friendlier (forgive me for not getting their names).
The positives:
Its about an hour from Yosemite.
The town of Groveland is near by and has shops and restaurants.
It was not too expensive but you get what you pay for.
Takeaways:
Would probably stay at another campground next time

The check in person was completely disinterested in me and more concerned with the other counter person's conversation. When she told me that I had to pay for the internet I was shocked after already paying $50 a night. She wasnt nice about it or sympathetic. While the internet wasnt expensive I feel like it is false advertising to say you have wifi and then charge for it. BTW, there is zero cell service so you have to buy the wifi. Charge me more and include the wifi. Also, park was packed with... Read More

Very close to Yosemite National Forest 20 miles. Sites were a little unlevel. My spot was a pull through, but no way would I have been able to go forward with the trailer. My RV would have dragged, so I backed out into drive. Very large shade trees, but the acorns were like an inch & 1/2 long. When they drop it is loud.?? we had to climb up and sweep off slides before pulling in. Petting zoo would be fun for kids. The covered wagons hotel rooms would have been grand for family traveling. Staff was very nice. Do your research because some of the spots are way in the back & not as nice as front right side. They had a very nice small store in case you left something at home.
No dog park, but nice walking trail around area.

I was not expecting a five star resort here by any means. What I found was a decent campground, but it really wasn't the appropriate park for my situation. The staff were friendly enough, professional and decent people. I was traveling in a 35 foot Class A RV with two slides. I had my elderly dog with me. She needs a ramp to get in and out of the RV. My site was VERY NARROW and the ramp brought her to within about six inches of a rather steep hill that drops about three feet between my site... Read More
I was not expecting a five star resort here by any means. What I found was a decent campground, but it really wasn't the appropriate park for my situation. The staff were friendly enough, professional and decent people. I was traveling in a 35 foot Class A RV with two slides. I had my elderly dog with me. She needs a ramp to get in and out of the RV. My site was VERY NARROW and the ramp brought her to within about six inches of a rather steep hill that drops about three feet between my site and the neighboring site just below. As a result of that my dog fell down the hill several times. When I arrived it was after hours, so there was nothing I could do about the site. The next morning I inquired about changing sites, but was told that they were fully booked and I would be unable to move to a different site. :( The site was long enough, but not nearly wide enough. With both slides extended, there was about two and a half feet for a narrow walkway along the passenger side of my rig. I had to move the picnic table out of the site in order to get into the site. The bathrooms were decent enough, however very dirty. But since they only cleaned them once a day and the ground is dirt, clay and rocks it can only be expected that the facilities would be dirty most shortly after cleaning. As I just mentioned, the roads are rocky and my dog had problems walking steadily. So if you have elderly dogs or dogs with other walking issues, this may not be the place for you to stay with them. There is no dog exercise area... just walk them where ever you want. Some people hadn't cleaned up after their dogs (nor did the facility clean it up because it had been there a long time!). The landscaping was really nonexistent. The natural plant life has stickers and burs which stuck to everything. The pool and petting farm were absolutely the best part of this park along with the employees who were very nice and answered all my many questions and concerns. I would just say that if you are expecting large, private sites in a very level park... this will not be the place for you. If you don't mind rustic charm... then you will enjoy your stay here. Had I been placed in a better, wider site I would have had a much better stay, but if my travels ever bring my back to this area, I would consider staying here again... just making sure when I reserve that I specifically request one of the wider sites.

This place was ok. There wasn't anything that was overly terrible, but everything was just ok. The restrooms were cleanish however, they didn't even have benches to sit while you changed or set your things down. The proximity to Yosemite was decent. The sites were a good size though and I had no difficulty backing in my 36 foot trailer.
The park is old and most items are dated. All the roads are dirt and red clay. The sites are also dirt and red clay, any gravel that was there is gone. It rained during our stay for 3 days and the place was a total mess. Our site was so unlevel we had to put blocks under the back tires and jack pads. The water faucet was bent in half and the electric pole had obviously been hit by another camper and not repaired. We have Verizon and could only access phone and internet with our hotspot by the... We have Verizon and could only access phone and internet with our hotspot by the office. The park internet was sporadic at best. The setting is lovely and you are about 20 miles from the west entrance to Yosemite National Park and then another 25 miles to Yosemite Valley. There is a new manager but not sure what that means if the upkeep is not done.

Appears to be in corrective maintenance to repair or upgrade existing facilities. I understand that the Resort was recently purchased and is being worked on. Several cabins appear new.
