Dean Creek Resort is nothing like what is advertised! The "Good Sam Park" insignia should be removed if Good Sam cares about their reputation. I am not sure who rated this facility as a 8.5 for Facility, 9.0 for Restrooms, and 8.5 for Appeal, but they certainly did not stay there (or even visit). The office was very clean and friendly, but that is where the good review ends. This facility was scary, sketchy, and we did not feel safe to stay there! The office was very clean and friendly, but that is where the good review ends. This facility was scary, sketchy, and we did not feel safe to stay there! There are full time tenants living in the Hotel and RV section. The Laundry facility is located between 2 rooms-one of which was blasting music and the other tenant was yelling down to his friends in the RV section. I did not feel comfortable being there for even a few minutes. The RV section had old (possibly undrivable) trailers and broken down cars. The RV sites are dark and overgrown. There were 2 pull throughs with "full hook ups", but only one cable hook up and it didn't work. The pull throughs are located in the center of all the cabins and trailers that are lived in (full time) so you are on full display for those individuals who are just sitting around and smoking and working on their cars. There are dogs running loose and no one is picking up after them. This place is a trailer park, it is NOT a resort. It is not a place we felt safe unhooking our car and leaving our RV for the day. This is not a place for people passing through to spend the night and get a good night's rest.

This was a cute park and beautiful scenery. The staff was all so very nice and helpful. The housekeeper was exceptional. Very attentive and Thorough. It seems there has been improvements with their water and clean up of old vehicles they have been working very hard cleaning up park and it shows. I’ll be back for sure.

This not a campground that I would recommend for anyone to stay at. The water is brown and this was with the filter on my RV. Some of the RV's had traps on top of them. The grill at my RV site had trash all inside of it.

We were so puzzled to see that this is called a RESORT. It is not, unfortunately. The disappointing part was that the place was in such disrepair. Many of the residents appeared to be either long term or permanent and most of them were not caring for their spots very well (or for that matter at all). It is also not well marked from the road entering it. Be careful to NOT pull into the motel area with a larger rig, you might have trouble getting back out to where the campsites are. The... The cable did not work and the WiFi signal wasn't much better. It would be such a wonderful RV park if it had a little TLC. We stayed here as it was a halfway mark between the Redwood Forest and San Francisco, but really should have just kept driving. Be cautious about staying here we won't be again.

To Start I only gave a one star rating because there was not a Zero option. You pull into a"NO TELL" motel to check in at the office. From there I could see a pool with green water. After registering you drive down the hill to the RV park. I only saw two pull thru sites on either side of a storage shed. The WiFi did not work and the cable was poor. The majority of the RV's around were those living there and it was the worst RV park I have ever stayed in during the thirty years I have been RVing.... Read More

A 5th wheel was sitting on the ground (no wheels or axles), a couple had blue tarps hanging on them and one had a junker car being used as a shed. If you call a couple horseshoe pits and a basketball hoop a RESORT by all means go other than that I would suggest you avoid the exit and continue on.
