I chose this place for the 3 pools, the spacious R/V sites and proximity to the river. We arrived early but they still let us in to our site. There was a large amount of green space between sites. Each space had a picnic table, gravel driveway and fire ring. Although a burn ban was in effect. Staff rode through every hour checking on things, which turned out to be beneficial because some dogs got loose and they helped wrangle the dogs. Seen lots of deer. Nice quiet atmosphere which we were looking for. We will definitely go back. We were there after school started and had no body beside us on either side. Location was great on river road.

Our experience was not a good one and revolves around the campground employees being very rude to us and our friends. Yes, we were 15 minutes early to check-in and the host in the office pointed this out in a very surly tone. We told her we'd wait but she said our site was empty and started shoving paperwork at my wife. Friends came to pick us up for supper and one of the hosts followed them to our site and started harassing them about being on the property. They explained why they were there... Read More

Visited over Father's Day Weekend on site #7. Spaces are ample with full hook-ups + picnic table + fire pit. Easy to back in to this site situated by a wet weather creek. Lots of deer to see at night. We called ahead to say we were arriving late and we were given instructions to call the security guard on duty. We did. Called again. And again. The message said to leave a voicemail and they'd call us right back except the mailbox was full! Sooooo we called again. And again. And again. The security... Read More

The security guard finally answered after several more rounds of calls and led us to our spot. The park is split into 2 separate sections between RVers from cabin renters (you have to drive to get to the other). We jumped into the swimming pool on the RV side and if the cloudy water wasn't a clue then the 3-4 inch band of grime at the water line let us know how often the pool is cleaned, We don't doubt that they at minimum use chemicals in the pool because there was a sign that said so LOL. However, their maintenance folks don't have a clue about using brushes. All along the grime line, people had scratched in their names and even one read "2018" - has it truly been 3 years since that pool has been brushed! We took our own inner tubes and enjoyed a long float down the Guadalupe River-I'd recommend doing this instead of the grimy pool. We chose this place because of the Good Sam rating and of course the website photos seemed as though there was lots of fun stuff to do. The amenities are run down but on the plus side the RV spaces are fine.
