What a gem along the Colorado River. RV sites are level & spacious. The facilities are very clean and in great shape. The pool, spa, clubhouse, patio areas are amazing! So many things to do inside the clubhouse (game tables, TV’s, exercise room, etc),even if you want to just sit inside and enjoy the AC! Lots of activities this past weekend-Memorial Day. The staff are very friendly & helpful…can’t say enough great things about Lou, Kevin, Dawn & Tammy. You all made our stay memorable and we will... Read More

I was only looking for an overnight pull-through and River Sands RV Resort provided exactly what I wanted. The pull-through was wide, hard packed gravel and long enough that you wouldn't need to disconnect. The roads are all wide and very well groomed. The spot had full 50A hookups with sewer and water. No mature trees meant that I had a great Starlink Internet connection, but the park WiFi is good enough that you would not require and other internet connection. There is Pilot Travel Center on the... Read More

There is Pilot Travel Center on the opposite other side of I-10 for fuel and food. Getting to the park late in the evening I found a packet for me in the mailbox and was able to unlock the gate and go straight to my spot. The park is right off I-10 but just far enough away from traffic to not interfere with sleep. For a travel stop this was a suitable place and I would stop here again.

Very clean and well-kept park. Sites are gravel, level and spacious. Being only a year old, they do not have any trees or shade yet, but that is what awnings are for! They have a lot of amenities and the clubhouse and facilities are clean and well-maintained. It is a plus to have a beach right on the river with tables and umbrellas. This makes it fell kind of tropical, without the humidity!. Will defii=nitely stay again.

We stayed at River Sands for six days. Yes, the landscaping is young, and the lots are gravel and sand, but it's a new park and it's in the desert. If you enjoy offroad trail riding, this is the place for you! There is very little to do in Ehrenberg, and it's Interstate 40 to Quartzite, and there's not much to do there either. The laundry room is very clean, and you don't have to scrounge for quarters!! There is a very nifty app you use (so take your phone to the laundry room), and you load only... Read More

There is a very nifty app you use (so take your phone to the laundry room), and you load only the amount you need for washing and drying. The clubhouse is immaculate with restrooms, games, TV, and sofas for relaxing. It even has a little library. The swimming pool is very nice. There is a small camp store at the check-in. If traveling with a dog, there are several little pet areas throughout the park, supplied with bags and disposals, so there is no excuse for not cleaning up after the dog. We would return to River Sands, especially if we had an offroad vehicle. We were there in November, so did not experience killer heat. It was pleasant during the day, and chilly after sunset. We had beautiful sunsets right on the Colorado River.

New RV resort on the river- nice size site. But basically a dirt parking lot with no shade. New building facilities are nice, but the place lacks character. Trees that are planted will take years to grow and landscaping is mostly gravel. It gets very hot and would love to see sun shades throughout to allow for better comfort outdoors. Staff is very friendly and helpful. A gated good place in that area to spend a night or two.

We stayed 1 night while passing through the area. The park is a little bit of a drive from I-10 (Exit 1) along 2 lane streets. It would be very easy to miss the entrance due to limited signage and the sign is obstructed by the closed business next door. Due to the design of the park, the amenities (clubhouse, pool, laundry bldg, & others) were not centrally located to the majority of the sites. The interior roads are a hard but rough surface. The interior roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV’s. The sites are a mixture of back-ins and pull throughs. The parking pads are a hard surface and wide. The P/T sites were long enough to say connected to a toad. Sites had sufficient room for opening slides. This park doesn’t seem to understand the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site as only a few rows of sites were generally level and flat. The majority have some slope/pitch. Distance and rocky areas establish privacy between the sites. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were about midway on the site. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. Sites did not have an outside table or fire pits. The landscape is new so the trees scattered throughout the park won’t interfere with satellite reception for the immediate future. Was able to receive DISH programming with a portable dish sitting on the ground. The park information didn’t mention anything about cable or broadcast channels. OTA scan revealed 12 channels including 2 major networks (NBC & CBS out of Yuma) and several non-English channels. The park provided password protected WiFi was adequate for travel research. Didn’t try the NET10 phone so don’t know about cell phone reception. There was one designated fenced pet areas with a grass surface located in the center of the park. But the sand was starting to cover the grass. There were bag dispensers and collection stations for waste in the fenced pet area and at pet stations throughout the park. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park’s roads. Doubt we would stay here again. TIP: Not much in the area for services. There is Pilot-Flying J truck stop for fuel at the interchange.

One night stay in our Class-C motorhome towing a Jeep. This place is a work in progress as it is brand new and the grounds/landscaping are immature and/or in progress. Restrooms and laundry are immaculate, but did not use laundry machines. All staff we came into contact with were very polite and efficient. Ladies at office (Shawna and Yasmin) were great. We see great things for this RV park if they keep on the current path. Good luck to them and we will use again and recommend to others!

Thank you so much for staying with us and taking the time to leave us a review, Jim and Angie! We're so happy you that you enjoyed your stay and we appreciate you mentioning how our entire team was politeand efficient (especially Shawna and Yasmin!). We are currently working on the roads and have finished landscaping. We're thrilled to welcome you back again the next time you're in the area and thank you for recommending us! Safe travels!
