We enjoyed our stay at Bandera. Its a small town full of Texas Cowboy culture, with lots of good food choices, music and charm. The folks at Pioneer couldn't have been nicer, but the there were two things that will probably push us to other solutions next time. 1. Like with most reviews of RV parks, their WIFI here never worked. There was good AT&T signal so we worked without it, but would have appreciated having it. 2. Parking spot was level, the water, power and sewer all worked as advertised,... Read More

2. Parking spot was level, the water, power and sewer all worked as advertised, but the parking spot was so narrow, we could hear the muffled conversations of our neighbors on either side. We were so close that we couldn't fully extend the awning without a major overhang of our neighbor's. We adjusted and grilled behind our rig and because of the cold temps and closeness , we ate inside. Certainly the park was close (walking distance for us) to all of the things we wanted to do in town, but the VERY tight parking density wasn't appealing at all ... Good people with a good park location, but we were just too close to our neighbors.

We actually stayed here for 3 months Jan-March. The management and staff are really helpful with anything you need. There are lots of weekly planned activities & outings organized by management. The park is located on the Medina River and is a beautiful setting. They are conveniently located right in town so walking to the tourist area and shopping is easy. The park is spotless and very well maintained. Will stay again when we are in the area.
While this was an excellent campground for a short stay, it would not be suitable for us for an extended stay. The whole facility was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, for my trailer (14' wide when open) the sites were far too narrow. If there had been someone next to us my dinette slide window would have been only a couple of feet from their trailer. Otherwise an very good experience in a very interesting town!
Excellent facility...friendly staff who are also very helpful! Would definitely recommend to friends!
The best thing about Pioneer RV Resort is there location. Across the street from the City Park and just a block away from town. Walking distance to all the main clubs, shops and most restaurants. Restrooms are clean, decent pool and hot tub and Medina River is at the edge of the park. There are no concrete slabs for parking.
