It seems like Shoshone RV is trying to cash in on its proximity to Death Valley and the fact that they are the only show in town, because they aren't doing any basic maintenance. This was our second stay in the last 2-3 years and we noticed that the warm springs pool has not been maintained and is falling apart. There is a nasty cut-off pipe in the men's dressing room that is hazardous the fence has fallen down even further than when we were there last, the cute lizard decals on the back wall have... This was our second stay in the last 2-3 years and we noticed that the warm springs pool has not been maintained and is falling apart. There is a nasty cut-off pipe in the men's dressing room that is hazardous the fence has fallen down even further than when we were there last, the cute lizard decals on the back wall have peeled off or been stolen, paint and repairs desperately needed. There are only 4 lounge chairs around the pool. Shoshone still has an extensive list of rules which guests must obey (as in any park)-- one of them is "droppings must be picked up and disposed of", and another one is "quiet time is 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m." Neither of these rules applied to the permanent tenant in the Black Rock Cabin opposite our site #31. He chained his aggressive pit bull to a telephone on our first morning and left it there to do its business which I picked up every morning for 5 days. He also let the dog defecate in others' sites. I emailed the management to let them know, but never got a response. I then spoke to the dog owner who rudely said, "What are you doing in my area?" and "Why are you picking up my dog's poop?" Well, that was a common area and not his area it was a walk-through area to get to the pool. Quiet time after 10:00 pm found him arguing and hurling expletives at the woman who lives with him. Not so charming @$50/night. I filled out the survey Shoshone gave us with extensive comments. Never got a reply to that either. To sum up: this park could be a gold mine (and is still very popular) if the management would invest some money in the facilities and be slightly more responsive to its guests. Don't camp in spot 31 or any spot adjacent to the Black Rock Cabin if you don't want a barking pit bull to wake you up at 6 am. Be careful where you step around that area and bring your earplugs if you do choose one of those sites.

Nice facility, nasty management. Checked in the afternoon with a motorhome, trailer and atv. The day manager had us put our trailer and atv where he wanted them since the lot we were booked in would not accommodate. 8am a lady manager banged on our door screaming at the top of her voice threatening because we had our trailer and atv where she didn't want them. Tried to explain but she was too nasty to listen. Ultimately she called the local sheriff who made a visit. Fortunately he listened and... Read More

Fortunately he listened and made an agreement with us and her separately since we merely had done what was asked of us. Really don't appreciate paying to be yelled at. Wouldn't recommend anyone to be subjected to this kind of abusive treatment. Wish I had noted all of the reviews concerning the rudeness at this place.

The out side wash room doors do not lock and the womens door won't even close. The wi-fi keps cutting out and the picnic tables are falling apart. The prices keep going upmbut some of the services have gone down.

Friendly staff. Good place to stay near Death Valley. We had made reservations ahead of time, but had our choice of several spots. Nice pool fed by hot spring. They are developing a small nature preserve adjacent to the park. We would stay here again.
