Generations of Family Fun at Sunsetview Farm Camping Area!
In addition to our fun theme weekends, our weekend activity program usually includes a mix of the following: Movie nights, crafts, candy bar bingo, ball games and different activities for the kids on most weekends.
Not a clean or a comfortable place! We camped with my sister and her family, with our campers awning to awning. The one nice thing was the sites were a nice size, however that's really the only positive. The pool is small and I wouldn't go in the murky, green swimming pond if you paid me. The owner came to our sites one evening around 6:00 or 7:00-something to tell us someone complained about my sister's dog not being on a leash (he was on an electric fence), and barking excessively. The owner came to our sites one evening around 6:00 or 7:00-something to tell us someone complained about my sister's dog not being on a leash (he was on an electric fence), and barking excessively. He said, "People live here and have to go to sleep and work in the morning." It was the late dinner hour. Who was sleeping at that point? The owner wouldn't even listen to us when we tried to explain the electric fence or show him how it worked. He said the dog could lunge after someone. Well, they can do that on a rope too. The owner wouldn't listen when we tried to explain that also, and the fact that my sister's dog would bark more if put on a rope and that both of our dogs would get tangled, making them both bark more. Additionally, when I initially told the owner that we also had a dog and that whoever complained wasn't just hearing one dog, but two, he said, "So you're telling me YOUR dog is the one barking excessively?" I said, "No, between the two dogs there is a normal amount of barking." As this part of the conversation was taking place, the owner had been walking closer to my sister's site from the road, which made her dog bark. The owner said, "See it's barking now." We pointed out that he was just doing what any dog would do, trying to protect its home. I told the owner that I had heard other dogs barking somewhat excessively in another part of the campground and that the next time I heard it I was going to complain. He told me to do that and left. That barking didn't really bother me, but if the owner was going to be unreasonable, so was I. The next night at midnight I heard something which actually concerned me. It was the sound of fireworks or a gun being discharged. I didn't call the emergency number at that point because I fell back to sleep and forgot about it until now. There were other things that made the campground unclean and uncomfortable. One was the excessive flies, which got inside the campers and were unbearable. Maybe if they mowed before people inhabited a site, instead of mowing WHILE people were there, it would have helped with the insect situation. The other unpleasant experience was finding dog poop smeared on the underside of my rug when we packed up the day we left. This edge of the rug was right up near our camper, out of the range of our dogs' leads/electric fence, so it was from another patron, and thus there when we set up camp. I'm thankful none of us stepped in it and dragged it into the camper. We will never go here again, nor do we recommend it.

If you want to go camping where its a party atmosphere and very noisy every Friday and Saturday night then this place is for you. It also doesn't have cable TV (although I was told it did when I made the reservations) and the WIFI is spotty at best. Don't forget, DO NOT use your GPS to find this place.
I called at the last minute and was able to get in for the night. We have a big rig and were towing a 20' trailer and did not want to unhook. They got us a spot right by the barn (full hookup) and it was great! My husband walked the dogs around the park and was very impressed. We didn't use the restrooms, so no comment. They were playing a movie for the kids (and adults) and it was still quiet. We were on our way home from Maine but will plan on stopping there next year on the way up and back. Very... Read More

We stayed here for Columbus Day Weekend. I booked the site very late (only one month from the holiday) and they told me we got the very last RV site they had available. What a beautiful site we got for being the last available. Can't say enough about the beauty of this campground. Campground has many activities for kids of all ages. (I have teenagers) Although all the sites were full, we felt as if we had plenty of room to ourselves to breath. We had a wonderful time and plan on booking again... Read More

We stayed here only one night on a return from Maine. I suspect the campground itself is nice, however, it was very noisy the night we were there and the biggest problem that we have with it is the directions that we were given to get in to the campground. Told not to use GPS and given instructions over the phone. Was told to follow campground sign when you get to the dual lane highway of Route 20 West. If you do this, there is a do not enter sign right behind the campground sign. When I see... Read More

Told not to use GPS and given instructions over the phone. Was told to follow campground sign when you get to the dual lane highway of Route 20 West. If you do this, there is a do not enter sign right behind the campground sign. When I see a do not enter sign, I do not enter. Made a left hand turn up a hill with a 90 degree angle and, of course, it was not correct. Had to back all the way back down the road (with the help of a neighbor and our walkie talkies) and stand in the middle of route 20 and stop traffic in order to get turned around and onto the correct road. They should have had us go the the next exit on the Massachusetts Turnpike and come back through Monson and it would have been fine. Don't send people this way, no matter what. Also, the gate cards are a pain in the neck to use. You are in the middle of the country. Do you really need these? Otherwise, we liked it.

What a wonderful park! Quiet, friendly staff, clean pool, and large sites. The seasonal campers were very friendly. Close to the Basketball Hall of Fame and Six Flags New England. The kids found a tennis court nearby and a frisbee golf course too. Pet friendly. The tree art by one of the permanents is outstanding. Would come back 4sure.
