Was told big rig 40foot classA would fit with no problems. The sign to turn into the place is very small and blocked by an auto parts sign. Made arrangements to be there after 5. Got there at 5:15. Gate closed and locked. Wife had to walk to the main office and it was closed. Paperwork on the door. Went to assigned site. The road is very narrow. The turn into our site was a 45degree turn with no swing area. Had to take car off of Dolly and the dolly off of the RV. Drove around to I found a site... Read More

The paperwork says keep things locked because it will vanish. In the park are a run down mobile home park. All connected together.

In November 2017 I reserved a 40 foot campsite at an Encore property called Sunshine Holiday. When we got to Fort Lauderdale it was 5:15 pm and the office was already closed. The office left by our packet in the mailbox. We proceeded to the site they enclosed in the packet. When we got to the back of the campground we were in dismay when we saw how same the site was that they wanted us to back our 40 ft camper into and after an hour and a half we squeezed the camper beside a 100 year old oak tree... My husband had to run electric and water under the camper and they had no cable even though they said they did. I was not feeling very safe due to the fact we backed up to a building with a bail bonds office, car alarms, and the noise of police cars all night going off. In the middle of the night I had to take my dogs out to go to the bathroom and while walking in the site I cut my foot on a piece of rusted barbed wire. In the morning a gentleman that works there asked how we got our 40 ft camper in that 20 ft site. My husband went to the office they didn't have a 40 ft site available that's why they decided to put us in the 20 ft site. When we went to leave we damaged our camper trying to get our 40 ft camper out of the 20 ft site and they did an incident report and we were told they would pay to fix it. When we got home we received a letter stating they will not cover the camper.
I suffer from Lupus and the stress of all of this has caused another flare up also.
This ruined our vacation to Florida

Since there are few options for camping in the Ft Lauderdale area, this location is an okay option. This is an Encore "resort" with many mobile homes and long-term campers. Bathroom near pool is toilets only and does not have hot water, although soap is supplied. They do not appear to be maintained daily, although, doesn't seem that many use it since all campers are required to be self contained. Oh, and there's only one shower room near the laundry room. The location is not well marked although... Read More

The location is not well marked although GPS does get you there. There is a locked gate with an access box. I checked in after the office closed and the packet was well supplied with info , access card, gate code and laundry card.
Also, as mentioned by others, the utilities have to run under the vehicle. I had to turn around in order to dump as I don't have an extension.
Most sites have built up patios though no tables.
