First, the good stuff. Excellent staff, well equipped and well maintained park. Good wifi, at least at our location. Bathhouse and laundry is a bit of a walk, but super clean and functional. Fenced dog walk area. Lots of amenities for families with kids. Now the less than good stuff. The entrance to the park is on a hill with insane traffic at almost all hours. You take your life in your hands trying to get on the highway, or off of it. The layout of the park is haphazard, which was obviously done... Read More

You take your life in your hands trying to get on the highway, or off of it. The layout of the park is haphazard, which was obviously done to maximize the number of available sites to rent. but I could see little rhyme or reason to the traffic flow inside the park. There are plenty of both big and small sites and some are much easier to access than others. And lastly, unlike other parks in the Durango area, almost none of the sites I saw took advantage of the views. We had a site which was a stones throw from the highway with constant noise. So some good and some not so good details. Overall, the good outweighs the bad, but be aware.

Great park. Can't say enough about this park. Pad level. Plenty of space between the rvs Good Wi-Fi and cable We'll maintained. Laundry (2 of them) clean and fair prices. Staff was great and helpful. We had ordered a mattress and had it delivered there. Checked in and told them I would come back to pick it up. Not only did they deliver it, they helped me put it in our rv. Will stay again.
Dan and Joy, thank you so much! So glad we could be of service to y'all--It is our pleasure.....Can't wait to see y'all again....Until next time....Safe and happy travels....
Traveling full-time in a 42-foot coach we have stayed in over 400 RV Parks, we stayed here seven nights. (1) Clean, quiet and well-maintained park with great amenities is what you will find here along with a very friendly staff. (2) We live in the age of WIFI technology and there is nothing to stop any RV Park across this country from investing in doing WIFI properly. (1) Clean, quiet and well-maintained park with great amenities is what you will find here along with a very friendly staff.
(2) We live in the age of WIFI technology and there is nothing to stop any RV Park across this country from investing in doing WIFI properly. For some users such as ourselves, WIFI is an important feature and was one of the reasons for our stay here. We were told both by email and phone that each site had a good wifi signal. The wifi in and around our site was just about non-existent. We were in direct sight of two wifi towers, but still couldn't get a decent connection, even at 5am. Other guests we spoke with also had non-existent wifi! We know enough not to count on a good signal over the weekends, but during the weekday there is no excuse. We even had the WIFI-Ranger on our roof with a direct-line-of-sight to their wifi source.
(3) Level pads, big coaches need paved or thick gravel pads that are level. We give this park a 5-star rating for having level gravel sites.
(4) Maneuverability, some parks have very narrow roads which make backing up and turning very difficult, we found this park to have plenty of room to maneuver.
(5) Dust, some parks are so dusty that even after short stays your unit needs a bath, this place is very dusty compared to many other parks, no grass here.
(6) Satellite, as you know satellite reception is very hard to receive when you have large trees. If you stay away from the sites with the tall trees to the south you will receive reception.
(7) Phone Service, we have AT&T which worked great here.
(8) Dog play and potty, plenty of room to walk your dog here, plus there are two fenced-in dog runs.
The Bad.. We had a pull-thru site but could not attach our tow car until after we pulled out. Our site was very long but there was not enough room to pull out of our site without having to back up. Maneuverability with a smaller coach and tow car might be possible.
