There are not many options for RV camping at the south rim. I saw this parks reviews and was skeptical, but booked as it was the only one open. It's better than the reviews. Yes, It's run down, but clean. cheap, and everything at the site worked. Staff is great. It's located behind a strip mall that has a great pizza place and general store (there is a rush at the pizza place when the park closes). Catch the shuttle to the canyon right across the street from the mall. Given it's location and... Read More

This is THE WORST RV campground we have stayed at in 8 months of full-timing. Skip to the end for pointers. This place is even worse than I was expecting even after reading all the reviews. We are paying $52/nt to basically dry camp because there is not enough voltage to power our 30 amp rig. After spending 7 hours on the road and 45 mins to set up the last thing you want to do is move. The maintenance guy was in the office listening to our issues and said he already clocked out so he couldn't help... Read More

You are literally 50 paces from our site and then he never even came by the next day to make repairs. They have "no refunds" splayed everywhere. When they over charged us for an additional night we did not reserve, the ladies at the front full-on argued with us for 5 minutes before realizing it was their mistake and finally offered cash as refund because apparently the owner have it set us so they are unable to refund/reverse credit card charged. Additionally, the sites are unlevel dirt, with no trees/shade, $3 to dump and $2 per shower, and terrible to non-existent wifi. I've been in the office 4 times now and each time there was at least 2 people ahead of me in line with problems to report. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you dry camp on the public lands that are even closer to the entrance than this park. There are dozens and dozens of easy access free parking sites for larger rigs (35' at least). Had I done more research and had known there were so many great free sites, we would have dry camped for free just outside the entrance to the park.

We camped at the Grand Canyon Camper Village for 2 nights during the 4th week of September 2018. The park is located about a mile from the south entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park convenient location! An advantage for this RV park over staying in the NP campground is that you're in the town of Tusayan, AZ where you could walk to buy groceries, fuel and Starbucks. However, that is the only advantage gained by staying here. When making this reservation I had an unpleasant time dealing with... Read More

However, that is the only advantage gained by staying here. When making this reservation I had an unpleasant time dealing with the park's representative about a mix-up in the date of our reservation. A total lack of customer service. Upon arrival we found our campsite easily in this parking lot styled campground. We had water, sewer and 50 amp electric available for $56 per night in our un-level campsite . No grass and no dog park. The esthetics of the park are lacking and maintenance through out the park is needed. We did not use any public restroom or shower facilities during our stay. There was some minor road noise and noticeable helicopter traffic / noise overhead during the day, but at night the park was very quiet. Grand Canyon Camper Village was tied with one other RV park as the most expensive campground we stayed at during our entire summer RV travels. It isn't a "destination" campground you're paying to sleep near the Grand Canyon. Next time through, I'll try to get a reservation in the National Park Campground. I'd consider this campground only as my #2 choice if I needed to spend the night in the Canyon area again.

Easy access to Grand Canyon is the best thing I can say about this park. mostly dirt and gravel, what grass/weeds there were needed mowing badly. Would not stay here again
The best thing about this RV park is it's convenient location close the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The park is rather old but clean. The sites are all gravel/dirt and appear level but a little close together. We have a class A motor home so we didn't use the restroom/shower or laundry facilities. Sites #108 - #110 have some grass. Decent place to stay while enjoying the beautiful Grand Canyon.
