We were seasonal residents here for 9 years and only relocated because we moved to New England. The owners are smart managers and really care about their campground. Every year we looked forward to what this year's improvements would be---for example, expanded playground, more trees, more beautiful flower beds, expand WIFI, totally redo the bathrooms, expand the common area outdoors, upgrade campsites, provide an activities room for your own family event. We liked how quiet it was, because we were not looking for entertainment. Yet for those who want a more community oriented experience, they provided special events many weekends during the regular season. We also liked that it was open year round. When we needed the owner's help, we were able to reach them and his staff would come to help out or give us useful answers. Within 5 miles is an incredible cycling rail trail along the Lehigh River to Jim Thorpe and the Lehigh River Gorge, or head south towards Philadelphia on rail trails and old canal paths. Near the trail is a huge dog park where your dog can just run and run. The Appalachian Trail runs along the ridge just above the campground. Jim Thorpe is a beautiful town with restaurants, rafting, quaint shops, a music performance venue, museums, historic house tours, steam train trip, and Jim Thorpe's grave. The resort is easily reachable from I-476 and US 209.

StoneyBrook RV Resort is the best RV park we have visited, The staff is very friendly and helpful. The amenities are all first rate. The pool, showers, laundry and restrooms are clean and very well kept. Our stay was an enjoyable experience. We look forward to returning. "Well done StoneyBrook"
This was our first ever RV trip and honestly we could not have picked a better place. The pool area was nice and relaxing, the bathhouse was top notch, and the grounds were clean and well kept. Sites and amenities aside, the staff couldn't have been more awesome to us. When we arrived, the electric wasn't connecting quite right and they came and fixed it right away. The biggest testament to their amazingness was on day 2 when we somehow locked ourselves out of our camper. They let us use their phone... Read More

They let us use their phone to call AAA (our phones were locked inside too), and let us stay cool in the event hall and gave our dog water and treats while we waited. Despite the troubles, we had a great first trip, and can't wait for the next one. We will definitely be coming back to Stonybrook.
