We were very disappointed at the general condition of Bass Lake resort landscaping. It needed a good spring clean up. Fall leaves were still on the ground and tall weeds needed to be taken care of, Our site needed more gravel. We were next to what appeared to be a permanent 5th wheel with a large amount of stuff stored around and in back of the RV. Some of it covered by tarps. It was a real eyesore. That was our view. This Is the most expensive camp site we have ever been to and because it was... Read More

This Is the most expensive camp site we have ever been to and because it was given a 9 Good Sam rating, we expected more. Wi Fi was not free. If we would have paid for Wi Fi it would have been over $100 per night.
Most of the care was around the pool, club house, and members area. The bathrooms and laundry were fine. Early check in was a bonus.
I talked to the front office staff and they were aware of the condition of the site next to ours and they excused the landscape issues as " having 110 acres is hard to keep it up".

We felt the website has a lot of false advertisement. They claim to be a resort that is pet friendly with free wifi. This is the least pet friendly campground we have ever stayed at. Signs posted everywhere about no dogs allowed. They have 2 very small gated dog areas that would be good for one small dog to run around in as it is the size of an apartment patio. If you have large dogs, not ideal! We stayed 2 nights at about $80 a night and that did not include free wifi as advertised. Phone reception... Read More

If you have large dogs, not ideal! We stayed 2 nights at about $80 a night and that did not include free wifi as advertised. Phone reception is sketchy there so be prepared to work off site if that's needed. We have a 37 ft Motorhome with a tow and were assigned site 112 which no big rig should ever be assigned. You have to back up a hill of a shared driveway and risk falling off the edge of the left side or get stuck being high centered where you have to go over the edge to get onto the pad. We couldn't complain or get a different site bc the front desk person left immediately after we checked in even though it was not closing time for them. The campground itself was actually ugly during our visit but the surrounding lake was beautiful. The pool they advertise is also closed for inspection so we couldn't use it. In all honesty, it looks worse than a Motel 6 pool. Additionally, if you planned on going to see Yosemite Valley, stay somewhere else. This place is over an hour an a half away.

We find this to be a BEAUTIFUL park! The roads all the way leading up to the park are narrow but that is understandable because WE WERE IN THE MOUNTAINS! The grounds of the park are well maintained. The staff is friendly and offered suggestions of things to do in the area. The kids enjoyed themselves as there were lots of activities that were scheduled for them by the park (arts and crafts, lawn games, scavenger hunt), and there was a clubhouse dedicated just for them. It was hard to drag our kids... Read More

It was hard to drag our kids out of the swimming pool (and we didn't mind laying in the lounge chairs that surrounded the pool either ;-) Although there are no individual open fires, the park had a large community bonfire every night where we met fellow campers. There were several bath houses that were very clean and had plenty of hot water! Unfortunately, the bark beetle has had a go at all the trees in the area due to the drought but the park is still beautiful with tons of healthy trees. We DEFINATELY will be returning (possibly this winter as we were told they are open year round and the kids would LOVE the snow)!

We stayed a week in October 2016. Never again. The park is old and has been neglected. It IS NOT BIG RIG FRIENDLY despite what they will tell you on the telephone. The website photos were obviously taken long ago! The roads are narrow and difficult to maneuver. Tree branches are low. Asphalt roads are beginning to crumble. Pads are 60 percent crushed rock dust and 40 percent rock. When you pull into your spot, there is an instant dust storm. The sites are also VERY small, extremely narrow... Read More

Pads are 60 percent crushed rock dust and 40 percent rock. When you pull into your spot, there is an instant dust storm. The sites are also VERY small, extremely narrow and are first come first serve. Even if you tell them you are in a LARGE rig, they will not hold a spot for you so it is a crapshoot at best. The price of $60 a night is extremely high in consideration of the park's condition and it is going to get worse as ALL THE PINE TREES are dying due to pine beetle infestation in the area. The park's interior roads have the worst speed bumps ever because they are large and are not perpendicular to the road, but at a 45 degree angle which causes your rig to rock horribly. Disappointed this campground has affiliation with Good Sam's Club. My wife said the restrooms are old and dungeon-like. Last truth - at least 50 percent of the sewer connections have no threads to receive a secure sewer connection plus they are not vertical. They are raise out of the ground and then turn 90 degrees. We saw some folks using duct tape in an attempt to hold their (leaking) sewer fitting in place! Good Sam's Club should dis-associate itself from this park!

We had a back in site near the pool and playground and we had our granddaughters with us. We had thought that there was lake access, based on the pictures on the website, but there is no lake access. The park has a lot of trees and is very pretty, there are also quite a few residents. You are in the mountains in this park and it shows, quite a few hills. Basically there is one way in and you loop through the park to get out. The bathrooms here were a mess. Torn shower curtains, no knobs to turn... Read More

The bathrooms here were a mess. Torn shower curtains, no knobs to turn water on/off, dirty floors.
I read the other review and I am curious as to what marina they walked to?
The pads were fairly level and the hookups were okay. The sites are VERY close together. For us to unhook we had to maneuver through our neighbors chairs that they had set up.
We would not return to this park.

We stayed here in our Class A and enjoyed the area. We walked down to the marina and rented a pontoon boat and did a little fishing. Overall the facilities are nice. We had a little hard time finding it because coming from the southwest the trees block the view of the signage until you are right up on it. I didn't use the restrooms but our teenagers used the showers and said they were good to go. The hookups were clean as were the sites. Our pad seemed to be fairly level.
