In twenty years of RVing, this is the worst experience ever!! Trashy, no hospitality, no code for the Rest Rooms, poor late registration, utilities in BAD condition, rude staff,.............what else could be worse? Certainly not a good representative for Good Sam. Better get them off your list.

We reserved a space in the Interstate 40 Grand Canyon RV Park almost a week ahead of time. When we arrived the space that was assigned to us had trailers on either side that appeared to be abandoned, but people were lining in them. We were so disappointed we did not stay. We opted for dry camp in a parking lot. I was surprised they were even Good Sam park.

No host on site on Sundays. People with reservations are supposed to find their site assignment in a green folder. There was no green folder, therefore no site assignment. The interior roads were not well maintained, rough and in need of repair. We chose an empty site and started to set up when we discovered there was not enough electricity to even register on the surge protector. We then tried four other sites with the same result. We left the campground immediately. This campground does... Read More

This was the WORST campground we ever stayed at. We are not very fussy about campgrounds but this was AWFUL. Conditions were deplorable. Trash everywhere. Has a swimming pool but not even suitable for a dog to be in it. We paid for 2 nights but left after the first night. Wish there was a way to give 0 stars. Should not even be allowed to say it is a Good Sam Campground. Will NEVER stay there again.

I stayed at this campground on July 25, 2018 while traveling with a group of four RVs. We made our reservations by telephone in March of 2018. When we arrived, we found the staff had "lost" our reservations. We felt fortunate they had spaces for us. That feeling was short lived. The staff was unable to describe to us how we should approach our sites to have the utilities on the correct side of our rigs. We had to figure that out for ourselves. The sites were very short and narrow and would... Read More

The staff was unable to describe to us how we should approach our sites to have the utilities on the correct side of our rigs. We had to figure that out for ourselves. The sites were very short and narrow and would not accommodate both my fifth wheel and my pickup. I had to park the truck away from the trailer. The campground is mostly occupied by long term residents and is cluttered with junk and is very dirty. Some of the "residents" looked quite disreputable, although we had no trouble with them. The roads are not paved and are extremely rutted and very rough. We overcame these obstacles only to find the AC line voltage was too low to run my single air conditioner during the heat of the day when the temperature was approximately 95 degrees. The sewer connection was flush with the ground and the pipe was cracked. The entire campground was permeated with the smell of raw sewage. The flies were out in force. The only good point was the staff recommended a very good restaurant for dinner. This was the worst campground I have visited in 20 years of RV travel and I strongly recommend you find another place to stay. This campground does not deserve to be Good Sam affiliated.

arrived on a Sunday at 3 pm; after confirming they had site available just an hour prior. No one there to sign us in; spent 30 min selecting a site and completing paperwork. Did not appear grounds were very well cared for; there was animal (mostly dog) poop everywhere. Restrooms were locked. Person at desk on check out next morning was uninterested in our concerns.

Thank you for your review. As a long time Good Sam Park, we continually strive to keep our property clean and customer friendly and we are sorry to read that your stay with us was not to your satisfaction. We're also sorry you missed the bathroom lock combination on our registration card. We are perplexed whom you spoke to on Sunday to confirm your reservation, as our office is closed that day. First the good. There is a new manager arriving on Monday. The lady in charge now is a very nice temporary manager. The previous owners let this place run into the ground. Now the bad news. Despite the ad, there is no pool. It is empty. There is no ice. The machine is broke. There are no TV hookups. The electricity is fairly reliable. There is no laundry. The showers are there, but they cost twenty five cents a minute. The site is gravel and sticker plants. There are stickers everywhere.... Read More

There is a train, this seems to be a common theme in campgrounds. There seem to be a lot of long term campers. The restrooms, besides being dated, were clean. The place is expensive though.

We really enjoyed our stay at the campground. Manager on Duty was extremely nice and helpful. Women rest room was always clean but my husband Cowboy Frank said the men's was not as clean. Only recommendation is have someone there on Sunday when you people showing up for 1st time.

Horrible place. They advertise laundry but she said the city closed it down. Lots of stickers in the ground that you carry back into rv and dogs get them in paws.

I cannot believe that they have raised the rates since we were here in summer 2016 the old Managers had taken so much pride in their hard work! Apparently they have left and that's very apparent the place is a dive and trash everywhere the laundromat shut down, bathrooms used to be pristine clean now they nasty and dirty, office smells of rodent urine, the old managers used to be available for help or just to smile and wave as we drive past their motor home after 5 pm. The place is a ghost town... Read More

The place is a ghost town after 5 so then AFTER we paid for a full hook up we were informed that we couldn't use the sewer and had to drive 15 miles to Williams to dump? Stay away the place is unkept and crappie I should've just taken the $10 reservation loss and dry camped....

Easy to find from I-40 with Google maps. Owner/manager very pleasant on phone and in person. Easy long pull-through site for 36 foot plus car on tow dolly. Not paved but level on first attempt. Hook-ups easy. Not much greenery but did not expect any in March at elevation in a desert. Internet good. Will probably return.

I was so sad to see only one review on this park and that it was negative. My husband and I were recently in the Ash Fork area and stayed here. We are full time RVers and have seen a lot. I will admit, it looked like a work in progress but I would by no means say that it was even bad. We didn't see any "junk" and although the place looked a bit bare due to the winter season, I think it would look really nice during peak times. We didn't see any "junk" and although the place looked a bit bare due to the winter season, I think it would look really nice during peak times. They were even putting in really nice stone patios and fire pits at the RV sites and doing some landscaping while we were there. The clubhouse was nice and had a little store and all the facilities were really clean. We met the new managers and they were so friendly and helpful. There was always someone around if you needed them and were only a phone call away during closed periods. We never felt unsafe or uncomfortable at all. The town itself doesn't hold much excitement but it is so central to so many areas. We were able to make a couple of day trips without hauling our RV with us and it was great. We had a great experience and can't wait to go back to see what else they have done!

We had reservations but when we got there the place was appalling. The pool was broken and the whole campground was pretty nasty and dirty. They were going to put us behind a shed where a mobile home use to be there. The grounds were unkept and junk was piled everywhere. We decided not to stay and left to find another decent looking campground where we would feel safe and secure. Lady yelled at us as we left that we would not be able to find anything cheaper. We were not looking for cheap,... Read More
