Beautiful large sites! Great campground! Boat rentals! Very happy with our stay here! Full hook ups so no need to use bathhouses, but they seemed average. Beautiful lake and friendly people! We traveled with our dog and toddler, and the campground was great for both. State park feel to the campground. No complaints at all.

We come to LBC many times a year. As a family of four with our two children under the age of 10 this is the place for us! They have the small beach for the campers (which over time has grass growing and may need to be more maintained) and the larger beach near the pavilion and tent camping. Last time we've visited we noticed the larger beach so full of goose droppings it turned us off. We didn't go back. We've never used the restrooms for me to comment on them nor have we ever rented anything. I... Read More

This is a beautiful park that is well maintained even during the dead of winter. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The sites are level and clean. The restrooms were some of the best we saw during this off season. We stayed at two other parks in different parts of Mississippi and this was one of the best.

Arrived after office hours, but was called by a friendly staff member prior to that to make sure we were coming. Was told to go ahead to campsite and check in at the office in the morning. Sites are roomy but most are REALLY unlevel - be sure to bring leveling pads. There are only a few sites that have a clear, unobstructed lake view (107-113); our site was 15 and was on a 20 foot cliff over the lake, about 15 yards away from the water/cliff with thick trees obstructing our view. The lake is full... Read More

The lake is full of stumps so boating is very limited. We reserved a pontoon boat for a day during our stay (they only have 1 boat) but when we went to the bait shop to pick it up we woke up the shop attendant only to find out the boat was booked for the day we reserved. We were told it was available the next day (Sunday) so we booked it. Went back Sunday to get it, payed, got the key, went to the front office to get it but was told it was out of service. After 3 trips back & forth between the office and bait shop we finally received a refund for the boat, and no boat trip for the family. We had torrential rains for 2 of the 3 days we were there (not the campgrounds' fault), and the ants were searching for higher ground. You guessed it, we now have a colony of ants living in our trailer. The water went off throughout the park Saturday night, and the power went off throughout Sunday. Grass was not cut and there was some trash throughout the park. In my opinion the park is poorly run and not well maintained. The bathroom/shower house on the lake was usable but had paint peeling everywhere, no shower head, etc, etc. Just old and ill-maintained. The prime sites here are 107-113. I might try it one more time if I can get one of those sites, otherwise, not a fan.
