Family friendly atmosphere! Staff kind and courteous. Family run campground. New added concrete sites with full hook-up outside the gate. Pool and playground are nice, clean.
This is a trailer park! Almost all of the sites were filled with permanent residents with few standards for appearance. The sites are very close together. The city water was brown. The bath house showers were clean but very old and in need remodeling so we did not use them. Our neighbors left after one day stating it was the worst place they had ever stayed Unfortunately we have to agree with them. Rarely do I complain but felt future campers needed to know what to expect.
Pleasant staff (though no C19 protections or masks). The full hookup site was uneven and rough, but workable. The water/elec sites were much nicer, with beautiful views and smooth sand and grass. A short bicycle ride to the ocean beach, and the park was very quiet, with lots of friendly people. The dog park has two areas, which is nice to be separate from aggressive dogs.
We stayed here in a 45-foot motorhome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay - and lots of other people appeared to be enjoying theirs as well. Lots of activities for families. The large pool deck looks out to the waterway. You can fish or crab from the new pier and a boat launch is right there. Some sites are small but so are a lot of RV's. It's an old-fashioned beach camping park and people were having fun. Our dog appreciated the fenced dog run. We did not use the restrooms but saw them being cleaned... Read More

The men's bathroom was terrible. Out of three showers only one worked. Out of two toilets only one worked and it was in deplorable condition. My wife said the ladies bathroom was disgusting. The laundry facility was good. The hot dogs and the ice cream was good. The campground is very crowded and the RVs have no privacy. The good thing about this Campground is its location. It is only a very short drive to the beautiful beach at Surf City
We were a little concerned about the campground due to the ratings but we had a good experience and we will be returning. The restrooms were old but after the weekend they were clean. The water pressure and the air dryer was not good but the water was hot and there was soap in the dispenser. The campers were friendly regardless if they were permanent or short term. We did not use the pool or the fishing facilities. The new dock is really nice. We came in on a Saturday and left the following... Read More

We came in on a Saturday and left the following Saturday morning the noise was normal (quiet hours were 11 to 7) and they were followed. We did have an issue with the restrooms the first weekend and we contacted the emergency number and they were cleaned immediately and they were glad that they were notified. It is a pet friendly campground.

In my top five 'worst' places I have stayed over the last ten years, this campground ranks there twice! Our first stay, we were backed into a tiny spot between two couples who were extended campers. Without the aid of a camper there, I would have gotten the truck stuck. I'm not sure the spot was a 'spot.' The second trip was again, not a defined spot; very low and wet. The entire campground needs some upkeep, paint, and attention. It appears the facility has become a home for long-term vacationers... Read More

Too bad as the workers are very nice.

older facility crowded with mostly permanent dwellers. actual few open travel sites , water view sites compact and littered with cigarette butts. some just grassy unpaved or graveled sites. Biggest disappointment was fishing pier was under construction. Part of my reason for selection was to enjoy fishing. Should have posted notice to effect so I could have chosen another weekend. a bit pricey for what was available. Pizza and wings are good at the grill though.
Just to be honest, I am not sure this campground even deserves a 1 star. Very disappointed in the facility. Did not get to use the pool for either of the two full days that we were there as someone had pooped in the pool. I thought there were rules in place for small children to have on the rubber pants?? But obviously the rules are not enforced at this campground. Small children that have to sit on the edge of the seat are driving around on golf carts, barely reaching the pedals, definitely... But obviously the rules are not enforced at this campground. Small children that have to sit on the edge of the seat are driving around on golf carts, barely reaching the pedals, definitely not just licensed drivers behind the wheel of these golf carts. First day the shower house had no water pressure and no hot water, the second day, I did have water pressure, but still no hot water, and the mens shower house was closed. Very loud and noisy, not relaxing at all, with kids and adults running around on bikes and golf carts at all hours of the night. Very big disappointment, if this had been my first camping experience, it would have been my last. Will never return to this campground.

This is a great spot close to Surf City. The view of the water was exceptional. Most RVs are long-term with many short term sites available. It's very quiet except for the garbage trucks coming in at 4 am.
