A good option for an overnight stay, close to Jackson. A large park, mostly full timers, but with 10 slots for overnight guests. Surrounded by trees or fields (with a resident cow herd). It is within a mile of the I-55 with easy access to and within the park. Quiet, clean and tidy. I was able to walk the dogs easily and heard the birds chirp all morning. I did not use the facilities as we were self contained. Satellite TV reception was excellent as was my Sprint hotspot. A basic park done well.... Read More

Very nice park large sites most are pull through. Not too close to highway but very easy to get to. Food and fuel are close by.

We checked in and was given several sites to choose from for overnight, except for one site that had a water leak. After we got all set up we found we also had a water leak. Fire ants around. We picked up garbage so our puppy would not get it. Guy next to us (also for the night, was not happy either). Took our puppy for a walk on the road and there was a couple of campers that had big dogs inside. Sounded like there were ripping the place apart to get out as we walked by. Looks like there... Looks like there are a lot of permanent people living in here. People driving quite fast on the gravel road and then some of them taking short cuts through empty sites. There is no way this place is anywhere near a rating of 8. I do not think they do anything around here. Slumy looking. We are making sure everything is all locked up. And we are out of here in the morning, and will not return. I am sorry to give this kind of a review because we were here a few years ago and it was not the best. But, now it is horrible.

We arrived at 7:30 pm on a Sunday. Sign on door gave the prices with and without good Sam membership. It said take an empty spot and leave money in slot. Not a problem. The park was mostly permanent types but it was clean, quiet and never heard a peep anywhere. Was easy to find, easy to get into a spot, and easy to leave. We pulled out at 7:00 am and plan to make this our stopping point to and from our kids in Florida.

The campground was hardly a "campground". It was gravel sites with several campers/trailers that appear to be almost permanent. We were travelling through on a Sunday night and it was mostly full but no people. There was a sign on the office door but the instructions were unclear which sites were available. So we finally just took an empty one. We waited until after 8:00 am to leave to pay, but no one showed up so we just put our money in the slot in the door. Didn't get a Good Sam discount since... Didn't get a Good Sam discount since we didn't know what the amount would be. Two other campers leaving had the same experience. Left about 8:30 and never saw anyone to check in with. Place needs much TLC.
