My wife and I actually had an unscheduled stay due to a trailer brake down that lasted four days. This was the only campsite that recognized how dangerous it was. They gave us the opportunity to get a repair service and back on the road safely, Our Thank you to the two ladies at the office Loved the pool too
Overall the park is clean and for the most part well kept. The gravel pad was no where near being level, overgrown with grass to the point of being almost invisible and had to be careful not to step in the two mounds of dog poo. The electrical, water and sewer were well maintained and very accessible. Plenty of water pressure and the laundry room was clean and extremely affordable. The wifi is free but the band width is so low that it will take one to two hours to stream a thirty minute television... Read More

I question ratings of 9. We arrived early afternoon due to rain and were greeted by locked, closed facility. No calls answered all day as we approached or emails. We had no idea if codes were required so we didn't venture to restrooms or laundry in the rain. Sites were flooded in the morning so messy departure too. This site is open to public and I was approached by a motorist asking about rates. Speeding pickups raced thru all day. Car wash is next door so loud mechanical booms heard late... Read More

Really nothing good to say on this site. Only location in our 3 week journey across US where ratings didn't reflect actuality.
Lastly, due to construction there's a short detour arriving from the north and longer one leaving to the South.

Nice campground. Paved roads and level lots. We stopped for an overnight, place was clean. Pretty easy access from the highway. Cable tv, full hookups on all sites
This is a nice park, all pull-thru open sites, clean bathhouses that are also tornado shelters, CATV, Wifi, mini golf, pool (seasonal), small playground, horseshoe pit, pond (catch and release), nice bike/walking path around lake and into town. Restaurant within walking distance, services nearby. Car wash next door made it a bit noisy in the daytime (we were near it - "A" row). We stayed there just for an overnight, but if I needed to be in the area longer I would have stayed here. Easy on and... Read More

We stayed in this park previously and was shocked when we arrived last week how much it has deteriorated since our last visit. When I got out of my truck to start unhooking the first thing I did saw step in dog crap. After that shock and got set up, I took our dog for a walk and there were a couple of dogs running loose and dog droppings, cigarette butts, and trash all over. Our fire pit was full of garbage. One rest room building was out of order and I did not bother going into the second one.... Read More

With some good management this could be a very nice park again. It is very handy to I-55 and to the local attractions of Cape Girardeau. I don't usually give bad reviews but I had to in this case.

Great place to stop for an overnight. Easy in and out for Big Rigs. If we weren't driving through it would have been a good place to stay for a few nights. During summer months it looks like they have a nice pool and miniature golf course. Good place to walk your dogs. The park is right along a 5 mile long walking path. A trip to historic downtown Cape Girardeau is a must. The Mississippi River Tales Mural along the river is very interesting and well done!!
