Two night stay a bit off I-10 but worth the drive. On the way to the park, there was excellent signage directing you there. The check-in was very quick and the woman at the desk was courteous and professional. A unique attribute to this park is the 50+ acres of ponds where almost every site backs up to the water and there is a lot of fishing going on - we had one of the two drive through spots (site 26) which was parallel to the water. After a few days of one night stops, we needed a break and although... Read More

If you do not fish, there is a lot of places to walk and if you have a dog, it is very dog friendly and has a dog park for big and small dogs. From what I could see, there are other back in sites where dual back axle class A rvs were fitting in.

We stayed 3 nights at Poches RV Park and Fish-Camp. We were very pleased with our concrete campsite. We backed in and we were right on the lake! We did not rate the Bathhouse or restroom because we did not use them. The staff were very accommodating and very friendly. Campsites are situated around a big beautiful lake. Lots of ducks to watch. Location was close to shops and great Cajun food restaurants. We were aware of the road leading into the park was a little rough, with that being said, none... Read More

We will definitely return if we are in the area again, And we will tell all our friends how we enjoyed our stay at Poches RV Park!!

If not for the road entering Poche's, the campground would not be bad. The road entering the campground is deplorable due to the holes and ruts in the road. By the time I got to my site, the door to my bathroom would not stay shut. The jostling around due to the road damaged the handle which, hopefully, is repairable. I have been to this campground many times but I will not return unless the road is repaired.
First time to visit this wonderful location. Beautiful sites surrounded by 5 ponds to fish from. Staff was very friendly and the grounds were well kept up. Back- in sites with picnic tables. If you need a fire ring, just ask when checking in. A pool and splash pad are provided along with a play area for the kids. Full hook up provided at all sites. I enjoyed the nature ( cranes, birds and ducks) Looking forward to visiting this location again. Close to local restaurants with Cajun cuisine, and local... Read More

This is a nice RV park a bit northeast of Lafayette, LA. They have several fishing ponds and the RV sites are located around one of the larger ones. The sites are all back in with large and level concrete pads. On the downside, the asphalt drive that encircles the RV sites is broken and buckled in several places. Our site had a picnic table but it seems that not all sites do. We had full hookups with 50amp electric. There is a small pool but we didn't use it due to the weather. The bathroom... Read More

The bathroom and shower facilities are a bit rustic. The free WiFi worked well for us. AT&T 4G signal strength here was pretty good at -96dBm. We paid $25 per night with Good Sam and Passport America discounts.

What a hidden gem! We only stayed overnight Because we were headed home. Next time we will add them to our itinerary and stay awhile.
A delightful, definitely off the beaten path, camping site, where all of the sites back up to a fishing lake. It's beautiful, serene and you get nice breezes and the sounds of the water lapping against the shore. Heard of this one word-of-mouth by some Good Sam members we met along the road, and so glad we came. Cajun Country, very friendly folks and easy to absorb the culture. We extended our stay, ate some alligator and watched the nearby Lafayette Mardi Gras parade. No license needed to fish,... Read More

This is a great campground. We were here in 2013 and 2015. This is so much more than a fish camp. It has beautiful man made lakes, a pool, a rec hall, and nice level water sites. The people are the friendliest you'll ever meet and will do anything to make your stay great. The area has so much to do you need a week to see it all. I suggest you arrive on a Friday so you can go to the Saturday morning Zydeco breakfast!
