It's now a KOA so who knows what that means. I've not stayed since the conversion from Bakersfield RV Resort. Will they still have free cookies on arrival?

We only stayed one night but we felt safe, staff was friendly, very well maintained, trash cans were hidden so it made scenery more beautiful. It was also easy to find and we did not have time to go to the restaurant on site but it smelled delicious: we will definitively go back
We stayed 1 night while traveling through the area. This is our park of choice when traveling through the area. There was an escort to the site. The sites are a mixture of back-ins along the outer edge or in the center and P/T’s. Extended stay sites seemed to be spread out between the back-ins and P/T’s. The interior roads are paved. The interior roads and turns are wide enough to negotiate without much problem. The site parking pads are a compacted material surface but somewhat narrow. The 4 or 5 long P/T sites were long enough to stay connected. The sites were level and flat. Distance and manicured grass lawns establishes privacy between the sites but they were close to each other. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were towards the rear of the sites. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. Seem to remember there being an outside table. No fire pits as wood burning it prohibited but charcoal & propane is acceptable. Park warned about thefts offering locks or the use of the Resort garage for overnight guests.
There are a few trees scattered around the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon site assignment and dish configuration. The park brochure listed 47 cable channels but no mention of broadcast channels. Several of the listed channels didn’t contain any programming and some were fuzzy or frozen. Didn’t try to get any broadcast channels.
The park provided WiFi was good. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well on previous stays. Didn’t try the NET10 phone so don’t know about the reception.
The clubhouse, pool & hot tub amenities and park’s appearance make this a pleasant stop over. We would stay here again if the need arose while traveling through the area or consider it for an extended stay.
TIP: Really no bad sites but the back ins along the edge seem to be a little smaller. The on-site restaurant with a takeout menu & coach side delivery was a nice feature. Received a 10% discount for dine in only. Domino’s delivered to the park. Super Walmart with ample RV parking is located off Panama Lane. Panama Lane was a short route to access I-5.

We are a full time travel nurse family and we have never had such a horrible experience like we had here. In fact, we are not alone, we ran into several other nurses and families who have had extremely similar, scary, encounters at this rv park.
The staff had a safety concern regarding my children that they wanted to discuss. Instead of coming to me to voice their concerns in a respectful way, they were incredibly aggressive, intimidating, and verbally abusive. I was speechless and scared. I called management to tell them I was feeling harassed and concerned and they said the manager would call me back. Instead of that actually occurring, they sent the person who intimidated me, back at me to harass me again. This time he drove his golf cart at me at a rapid pace and continued to be aggressive and verbally harass me in the middle of the road. There was a witness with me on this occasion who was blown away and actually in fear for me as well. From that point on, until we could secure other living arrangements, I was in fear for my safety at the park. I didn't feel like I could do laundry or walk around and I certainly didn't want my kids playing outside.
All of this would have never been an issue had they approached me like human beings about the concern they had so we could discuss it in a respectful way and come up with a solution.
On another note, the long term stay spots are mostly gravel, not well kept, and right next to an extremely busy and loud road. As nurses, sleep is important and you can't count on it here. They also charge you $50 additional for each kid you have and $60 per dog. So we paid an addition $220 a month for nothing. The only amenities they have for dogs are fenced in gravel areas and they have zero amenities for kids. In fact, they are only allowed to play in the back corner of the park.
There are places to stay in Bakersfield that are secure, safe, family friendly, and have a respectful staff. There were 3 news journalists who caught wind of our story and wanted to share it on the local news but out of fear of the safety of my family because of their aggressive staff member, I declined. Please, please, check out your options if you are staying in Bakersfield. This is not a good option.

Beautiful place to stay. The girls up front at the desk are extremely nice and make the check in and overall experience super nice. We love it here!
I truly want to like this Bakersfield RV Resort. Great location and easy to navigate a 43 foot 5th wheel thru the entrance. Very nice reception area and welcoming professional personnel at the welcome desk. Amenities look good, but unfortunately COVID-19 kept us from enjoying the pool area. Really friendly and helpful RV neighbors. Most seem to be just coming in through for a day or 2 on the way to somewhere else. We've stayed her twice and had a much better experience the first time. Really friendly and helpful RV neighbors. Most seem to be just coming in through for a day or 2 on the way to somewhere else.
We've stayed her twice and had a much better experience the first time. The 2nd weekly visit is where everything went downhill quick. After a later arrival I was guided to the spot by a really distracted golf cart guide who apparently had something better to do than help me. Asking for help required him reluctantly getting out of the golf cart to watch the back end, seemed to be too much to ask. (thankfully I insisted because the side would have badly scraped against a tree and taken out an awning) After 3 tries and him putting me into different spots, seems to support the contention by other reviewers that the golf cart guys are pro-occupied with getting stoned at night.
The plan was for me to drop the coach off and then head home back to the SF Bay Area for a few days and have my woman feel safe with the security gate and staff around. I got a very upset call from her while home that she had an unfortunate encounter with an aggressive short bearded dude that was unnecessary and uncalled for. The front office staff had previously indicated that there was a known issue with the 50 amp service we happened to plug into. Not according to aggressive little dude, it was apparently all her fault and he berated her for "over" using it. (Absolutely silly, we never have had any other problem like this in our 5+ years of owning it)
Reading other reviews, it seems that this "Brian" individual has been openly hostile to other women. (Sorry dude if your life boils down to being the lord of an RV park) Of course when I got back in town nobody said a word to me or my woman, kind of seemed like they actually avoided us from my perspective.
Ok, so fair enough, I'm a pretty physically imposing dude but a helluva nice guy. So we figure that's pretty much the end of it. Wrong, we tried to make arrangements to stay for a month so my woman can visit her newborn grandson and I could go back and forth. Now we find out there's a "problem" and out application was not approved not only for the month, but forever. Really....you want to take it this far after we did absolutely nothing wrong?
Being adults, we decided to try and contact the owner and try and peacefully resolve. Nope, Ed Patterson hides behind his office staff and doesn't have the courage to call anyone back. Take it from me, being a highly successful business owner myself, this is precisely what you get when the employees run the show with an owner not taking responsibility.
Oh and by the way, thanks for scratching and chipping up my full custom paint job with your careless gardener and their weed whacker throwing rocks all over. I didn't even bother to raise the issue, seems pretty obvious no one gives a crap.....
And finally, do something about those mosquitoes and black widow infestation in the electric and water hookups (if it hasn't happened yet, someone is going to get seriously hurt). I normally don't get bit that much by mosquitoes......I must have had a hundred bites all over my legs and the swelling and itching lasted 2 weeks. The little ones couldn't even go outside at night, absolutely ridiculous and preventable.

Traveling full-time in a 38-foot coach we stayed 1-night in a pull-thru site for big rigs. This was our first visit here. The sites at this park are level and paved with grass between sites. We had AT&T phone service here and our satellite worked good. Will stay here again!
This is a nice resort. The amenities are good, the restaurant is expensive(it is California), the upkeep is very good and the internet is mediocre at best. Connection strength is good they just don't have the bandwidth to support the number of users.
This is a very nice park. The spaces are large and come with a cement pad and in some causes a picnic table. There are plenty of trees, paved interior roads, and a dog run. The pool area is very nice and the on-site restaurant/grill is an added plus. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. They gave us a 10 percent coupon to dine there upon check-in. The restrooms were very nice, but I question how often they are cleaned. Upon arrival I checked out the men's shower area and there... Read More

Upon arrival I checked out the men's shower area and there was some debris in the changing area, including a pair of underwear. This was around 4:30 pm. The next morning at 9am I went to Use the facilities and the same stuff, including the underwear, was still there. That was a little surprising based on how everything else in the park was maintained. Overall, a nice place to stay.

We can see why this park gets a 10 all around.. From the warm welcome upon our arrival to the amenities once you are in the park, this is first class. We were able to have our coach washed, our tow hitch repaired, have dinner delivered to our coach at no additional cost and enjoy a beautiful pool all in the same place. This park is close Costco, Camping World, Walmart and many other "city" options. We can't think of a single thing that could make it any better.
GPS TAKES YOU THRU THE SUBDIVISION WEST OF THE CAMPGROUND. YOU CAN ENTER GOING NORTH OR SOUTH OFF WIBLE RD. PS. GOOD SAM RVND 7725 WAS USED FOR DIRECTIONS.
let me start off by saying that I would of given them a better rating if they hadn't overcharged me for electric, refused to show meter reading logs and , even though I had a picture of the meter I took upon arrival informed me that" well, it's just your word against mine"!..... I wasn't rude or anything since I will be back in Bakersfield next month and might not be able to find a different park. The park is fairly well maintained, noisy with a major road out front, train tracks right outside the wall and some incredibly noisy roosters on the opposite end of the park.
The eliptical machine in the gym has been out of order sine March.
I realize it's not their fault that some people people don't pick up after their pets, but the " dog run" isn't kept up, with dog poop and huge clumps of dog hair. You would think that, since the started charging 2.00 a day per extra dog they could afford to pay someone.
Red ants are everywhere and they get stirred up everytime the gardener comes.
The bathrooms are very nice and spotless, as is the laundry room, I was a bit put off by the cleaning lady washing all her cleaning rags in the public machines, maybe that's just me.
They also apparently have a theft problem, when you check in they give you a slip of paper offering to loan you chains for your bikes etc.
Feral cats also call this place home, with an occasional stray dog loping through the park

We had dinner and breakfast at the parks very well managed with very friendly staff restaurant with some really good food, the prime-rib was excellent by all accounts as several of the group had it. The Chicken strips were a bit dry and tasteless for me. Breakfast was good too. I recommend the restaurant. The bar is not just for the campers but outside visitors too. Careful the bar/restaurant visitors tend to park in RV spaces and are tough to get them to move!
The spaces were well wide enough for a full rig with slide-outs and plenty long enough to leave your toad attached if need be. Every space is a full hook-up with good clean spaces. The water is good, the power is stable and clean, and the dump hooks right there. There was FREE Wi-Fi that is good and strong but not very fast. The parks cable TV has the strangest collection of channels I have every seen, but there is something for just about everyone's taste.
the one down side to this park is the road noise from the main drag, and it is a drag-strip at night. There were trains, police sirens, and cars & motor-cycles screaming down this street. So plan ahead and book your space as far away from the road as possible.
Oh, and there is a 9 hole putting green next to the front door to the restaurant made of concrete and astro-turf... real high end stuff :-)
I was there with a group consisting of 5th wheelers, trailers and motor-homes and all were well accommodated.
I recommend this resort.

Recommended by Camping World and relatives. There is no stipulation online about the age of your RV. I reserved online and was told someone would call. I was told they typically do not allow RV's older than 10 years. They actually said we would be fine, when we described the rig. They don't want broken down "old" trailers in the park. At any rate the Park is lovely and well kept and we are having a great time.
