Large park with beautiful rolling hills and amazing scenery! Welcome Center staff was friendly and they allowed us to choose our own site. We ended up in section B and our pull-through FHU site was comfortable but extremely cramped on one side. The laundry facility is being renovated so it was unavailable. Good restrooms and showers. No free wifi at our site but my AT&T hotspot worked ok. Wifi for a fee is available but we did not partake. The free wifi in both lodges was good. There is... Read More

There is no cable but we were able to get 20+ over the air TV channels. Pool and spa were clean and well maintained. 10 mph speed limit is a little slow, but we understand that safety comes first. Park is being expanded and several new back-in sites became available during our stay. We also met with on-site Thousand Trails salesperson Jed to discuss possibly upgrading our zone membership, and he was very kind. Easy 10 minute drive to Walmart and many other businesses in Cottonwood.

We recently stayed four days at the Verde Valley RV & Camping Resort. This is a Thousand Trails resort but you do not have to be a member to stay here. No Good Sam discount. The park is off Hwy 260 between Cottonwood and Camp Verde. Be aware that when you see the sign on the highway that says Thousand Trails Road one mile the actual turn is much sooner - the park is about one mile down the road. We nearly missed it! Check in was quick and easy but then you are left to "find" a place to park... Read More

Be aware that when you see the sign on the highway that says Thousand Trails Road one mile the actual turn is much sooner - the park is about one mile down the road. We nearly missed it! Check in was quick and easy but then you are left to "find" a place to park in one of the park's five sections. Sites are not assigned and it was very difficult to negotiate the various sections (especially in a Class A with a tow rig attached)! There were two other pickups with 5th wheel trailers also looking for the few available sites at the same time. We were all extremely disappointed in how you are left to find your own site. In addition to all of that mess, they are in the process of apparently upgrading their power systems so many of the sites were blocked from being occupied. The site we eventually occupied was nice, flat and had a small grassy area. The pool, common areas and laundry were nice as well. The resort is centrally located to take in many of the areas wonderful sites. My suggestion to management would be to pre-assign sites and provide an escort for RVers; taking them to their site especially with the limited site selection, cumbersome maneuverability and ongoing problems related to the upgrade of the power system. We would probably not stay here again.
