One of the worst 3 campgrounds of our lives. To say the ride in from the highway was challenging is an understatement. Narrow, windy roads, low hanging branches that scrape your coach and rock cliffs. When you finally arrive at the KOA there are challenging turns everywhere and our 40 Dutch Star barely fit in our alleged pull thru. We had no spot to park our toadthank goodness for 4 wheel drive as we could park it on a hill. Our site and all sites we saw were not level..all sloping. Entire complex... Read More

We had no spot to park our toadthank goodness for 4 wheel drive as we could park it on a hill. Our site and all sites we saw were not level..all sloping. Entire complex is gravel/dirt. We made our reservation in January and requested a satellite friendly site. When we arrived there were no satellite friendly sites and the office staff seemed annoyed we were asking. Their internet was useless and given the mountain environment, cell phone coverage was minimal so we couldnt create a hot spot. The bathroom was filthy and smelled.
There was a small section of grass labeled as a dog park but no poop bags were offered throughout the park. A trash can at the gross bathroom said dog poop but hadnt been emptied in quite a while. We left a day early and didnt bother to ask for a refund. This place is NOT class A motorhome friendly.

We stayed in a pull through FHU site in our 39ft 5th wheel for the month of October. We used the laundry facilities often and they were clean. There were plenty of movies and games in the rec room to borrow. There is a putt putt golf course that needs a little rehab but the kids enjoyed it. My reason for the low marks is because the sites were close together and the wi-if was extremely frustrating to non-existent. We knew there was no cable service but there was hardly a TV signal and if there... Read More

My reason for the low marks is because the sites were close together and the wi-if was extremely frustrating to non-existent. We knew there was no cable service but there was hardly a TV signal and if there was, it was effected by clouds.
Then, at the end of our stay, they closed the park 3 days early, shutting off the water due to expected freezing temps. It would have been better customer service to offer a per diem credit for those days but none was offered. We won't return to this camp.

Beautiful mountain views and incredibly friendly owners. They had a big band concert on Saturday night when we were there, which was lovely. The owners have goats and donkeys as a "petting zoo" which the kids loved. There are permanent residents, which I usually don't like; however, the permanent cabins and campers were well maintained, landscaped, with very friendly residents. They have a decent sized dog park, which is a nice feature. They also have DVDs and books that can be borrowed for... Read More

We have a longer 5th wheel and were concerned it would be a bit tight getting out, but with the help of the friendly owners we had no trouble!

We reserved a spot at the campground because all of the other Boone area campgrounds were booked for the July 4th weekend. We had a full hookup pull thru site. The KOA staff was very friendly. Sites were very close together. The saving grace was that the sites were shaded. Wifi was listed, however, we were never able to get a good enough signal. The WiFi hotspot was in the office. The lady at checkin did mention that they were trying to get a stronger signal throughout the campground. There... Read More

There were several activities listed for the holiday weekend including local music on Saturday and Sunday nights. Lots of kids and dogs but everyone appeared to respect the 10PM-7AM quiet time.
