Stayed here 6 nights, couple nights of May and first few nights of June. This is the best KOA we have been to! Nice big site close to the office with a shade tree. Laundry was clean and nice, well working appliances. Clean restrooms with plenty of space. The park is laid out nicely and well taken care of. Nice and quiet, not close to train tracks. The staff are very nice also.
This KOA would have received 5 stars except for two things: there is an absence of trees on the lower part of the park. Coming in there are beautiful, big trees right near the office. They really need to invest in trees! The double dog park is really nice and the pool is just OK. If you have kids there's plenty to do but nothing except the pool is included so you will be spending $$$$. Our particular site was not level and we were sitting in a two inch pool of standing water that was slowly growing algae. When we talked with them about that problem they offered to move us to another site with standing water!
The owners and employees are super nice!

This is a KOA and as I've come to expect from KOAs, no shade and the few shade sites are empty. It was 90* and windy the day I stayed so putting the awning out for shade was not possible. Therefore inside with AC going was the only option. Don't know why KOAs are allergic to trees.
I have stayed at this KOA about 4 times in 2 years. They are super nice on the phone, and even nicer once you pull in. They escort you to your site. The KOA is kid friendly but kidless adults have quiet a bit further from the front entrance. Pool is clean. Bathrooms are clean. Whenever I travel through Iowa, I try to stay here. They even fill propane bottles and have fresh hot pizza!
