Very nice park, clean restrooms and good laundry facilities. Great view of the Yellowstone river right outside our front window! Friendly staff.
Sites are a bit close together, but otherwise an outstanding park. Convenient to YNP entrance and town of Gardiner. Best restrooms of any park I've seen - folks maintaining the restrooms deserve a raise. We'll be back.
Best thing about this place was the restroom and the convenience to the North entrance to Yellowstone. The restrooms were floor to sealing tile, which made everything look clean and well maintained. Also the gravel was well packed and the manager kept everything moving along when things get busy. The downside to this campground is the view wasn't great, we were way up on the bluff over the water, but with all the building you can't see much or get to the river. Also we were told when we arrived... Read More

Also we were told when we arrived no mats on the grass, I have a 1 year old that I put a mat down so she can crawl on and not be in the grass were dogs have been doing their business. I understand not leaving the mat down all the time, but I would have liked to be able to us the grass area provided.

There are not a lot of options for RV's in Gardiner. This is the best of the bunch. The spaces are tighter than i like. and you have to hike down hill to use the restroom/shower facility. Having said that, most people are coming here to tour Yellowstone and will be gone all day, just coming back to sleep. The view is awesome, bathrooms clean, and the staff was nice to us. The dog walk area is a fenced 20 foot by 20 foot area. Fido is not going to burn off any extra calories here, but it does... Read More

The dog walk area is a fenced 20 foot by 20 foot area. Fido is not going to burn off any extra calories here, but it does give them a place to poop. I was turned off by the signs saying the area was monitored and anyone not picking up after their pet would be asked to leave. In their defense I suppose inconsiderate pet owners have left messes, that resulted in these signs being posted. Still, I thought the signs had an edge to them that was unnecessary. One day the garbage can in the dog area was not emptied and full of poop bags. But the other days it was fine. They have a small store with touristy shirts and mementos, as well as candy and drinks.
For access to Yellowstone from the North Gate, this park is ideal.

Stayed for a few days while visiting Yellowstone. All of the facility structures were updated or replaced over the last 2 years. Friendly helpful staff. RV's are packed in pretty close together. Not much shade . Site is well maintained. About a mile from the north Yellowstone entrance. Overall a good experience. I would definately use the park again it I was visiting Yellowstone and wanted to be near the north entrance. Be sure to have reservations. It is unlikely that you would be able... Read More

Stayed here a few days, and I was probably lucky to get a site. It is a busy campground and was fully booked the entire time. It's best feature is the close proximity to Yellowstone's north entrance and within the quaint town of Gardiner. The only reason I did not rate five stars overall, is that my site was muddy, and they wouldn't move me to another site even though many sites turned over during the several days I was there. Also, there is little shade. Very nice bathrooms and laundry. Elk wander... Read More
