My wife and I booked a 3 week reservation at a joint owned KOA and Encore / Thousand Trails campground last September. Upon arrival in February we were told that we had called Encore and cancelled. We are not Encore members and don't even have their telephone number. This left my wife in tears and wondering where we would go for the next 3 weeks since the campground was totally booked and this was in the middle of our vacation plans. The campground manager checked and found that our KOA reservation was still good and then worked very hard moving things around and finally got us into a site for our 3 weeks. We started calling Encore to ask what happened and and kept leaving voicemail. All of our calls were not answered and nobody bothered returning our calls. After 1 week of calling more than once a day we finally talked to a live person who said "you got a site, what's the big deal". Encore, if this is your attempt at "customer service" then I suggest that you find another line of business where you don't deal with the public. We also let KOA know what had happened and they actually responded immediately and apologized even though it wasn't their fault. Thank you KOA for caring!!!
