My family chose to stay at the Golden Nugget RV Park over Memorial Day Weekend. We had a wonderful experience. The park was clean and beautiful. The place was nicely landscaped. The bathrooms and laundry room had been thoroughly cleaned. The staff was very helpful with whatever we needed. I would definitely recommend this park to anyone that needs a place to stay in Anchorage.

The Good Sam ratings are woefully out of date. This facility is dirty, fill of potholes, lots of debris, mostly permanent “campers” and sites that have obstacles. We had to maneuver so very slowly and carefully to ovoid a satellite dish protruding into the site and to find a level enough spot that our jacks would work. Unless you MUST be in Anchorage just go on. Hopefully Good Sam will update its rating to reflect the horrid conditions. Don’t be misled. There’s nothing good about this place.

Agree with June 2018 review. Noise from airplanes from 3 airports (24/7 for the International Airport) it difficult to sleep as well as the busy street and mobile homes around the park. Majority of permanent residents' sites were not maintained well, unsightly! Find another location! (Did not use restrooms)

The advertising lied. This is not a big rig friendly park. The site they tried to shoe horn me into resulted in a torn roof and broken satellite dish. This after the person at the desk assured me there were no trees at the assigned site. When I complained the unhelpful desk attendant said, "well I called the manager".... I had to find my own site and am now looking at $1000's of dollars of repairs. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! You'd be better off on the street.

Park is in a great location for exploring Anchorage and all its shops, restaurants and museums, and there are many to choose from. Significant number of permanent residents (and their accumulation of stuff), however, detracts from its "appeal" rating. Seems to cater to caravans. A very tight piece of real estate in town. Narrow lanes between pull through rows create tight spots for big rigs. Our traveling companions in their 40' class A Tiffin trashed three of his basement doors on a boulder... Read More

Narrow lanes between pull through rows create tight spots for big rigs. Our traveling companions in their 40' class A Tiffin trashed three of his basement doors on a boulder that separates sites trying to make the turn into his pull through site. Parking our 5er took a number of in-and-out maneuvers to get it in squarely because the lane was too narrow to get a good turn line for our site. Once in position had no problem getting level. Didn't use laundry or restrooms. Yes, would stay there again despite the above comments. Its proximity to Anchorage's amenities definitely outweighs the negative comments.

We arrived late in evening with 3 night reservations so our site number was posted and we called with their outside phone for restroom and wifi codes. Pull through site was not level so had to use blocks on right side (pouring rain, not their fault). went to pay in morning with Good Sam discount and was informed that pull throughs were not eligible for Discount. (back ins only). Web Site does not specify this policy when they advertise Good Sam Discount and I was not informed when I called for reservations.... Read More

Stayed here twice during our 2 week trip. Staff friendly, laundry clean, restrooms clean. If you arrive after office hours, there is a phone to contact staff, as well as a board with all available spaces listed. There is a Costco directly across the street and a park for children across the street. Although it stays light late, we were there on a Saturday night and I do not recommend walking around in this area unless it's daytime. We would stay here again for the convenience and nicely kept... this park was a wonderful find! great location, near Costco and an RV wash. The staff was plenty helpful. they really know their state! and the grounds are beautiful. we had no idea flowers could be so lovely in Alaska. Not sure if we will be back this way, but if we are we will stay again.

This park was junky. The grass had not been mowed in weeks, it was up to a foot high. Junk around the trailers that live there. Dogs were running around the camp grounds without leases. The internet was off and on, mostly OFF. There were cables laying around from an old cable TV system and were never picked up. Just a very junky area. Not what we expected at all.
