The folks at Cowtown RV were able to accommodate us on short notice near the Labor Day weekend so site choices were limited. We needed to stay in the DFW area awaiting parts in transit, but we were happy at Cowtown and did not consider finding another location! Our last minute search turned into 14 days! Our pull thru site was hardpack gravel. At 40 ft/4 slides and a tow we had room for yet another vehicle if needed. Lateral spacing was close but not cramped. We could put our full awning... Read More

We could put our full awning out easily with space to spare.
Clean utility sites. Green grass on either side. Picnic table was welcome.
Grass was cut twice during our stay, encroaching weeds looked sprayed. Community trash bins collected several times daily.
Restrooms and Pool looked clean and sparkly, though we didn't use it ourselves. Tetherball, swings for kids. Asphalt halfcourt for basketball fun. Sand volleyball area.
For those with pets, a couple dog runs within the park. At least one was suitable for more athletic or larger breeds. Grassy. Bench and bags.
Fellow RVers (full time and part timers here) seemed considerate of hours, noise and spacing.
Cable tv hookup and wifi (unsecured) were included with rates. Both worked quite reliably morning or night. Repeaters about every 5th space. More robust and secured service available for very reasonable price weekly/monthly.
We were able to get courtesy package pickup at the office (amazon/ups/fedex)
The downside for Cowtown for some RVers might be its' location. While near to the interstate, there is some highway noise depending on the weather/wind. Situated near light industrial area, so there are no real "view" sites or "resort" feel. Definitely need a car to access grocery and such. However, there are some basic items stocked at the office store.
It's a clean, reasonably priced Park that delivers what they advertise and will look to stay here again when in the area.

Friendly staff, efficient check-in, escort to site. Restrooms were closed, unknown reason. NO water pressure in morning.
When I made the reservation on-line I received a phone message from them about finishing up the reservation. This is a bad start as if I do anything on-line it is because I don't want to spend time on the phone about it. The day we were to arrive they called my message number three times about what time I would arrive I am the customer I don't work for them! I don't have to report. I arrived after closing and they left me information in an envelope. That was good, I had an issue with my watercraft... Read More

I arrived after closing and they left me information in an envelope. That was good, I had an issue with my watercraft trailer and it was parked across from my space. An employee came be and I explained why it was parked there. They said OK for the night. The next morning the manager after trying to call my message number came banning on my door. I should have answered it naked. When I went to the office she said that she was going to have it towed, I told her that her employee said it was OK and she would end up paying for it. She said that I could not prove it. She then said I had to move because the spot I was in was for over night only. She was proud that all of the reviews are bad because of her attitude and way of running the place.

One of the worst parks we have ever stayed in. Interior roads dirt with big potholes (online pictures are only by the check in and road goes to dirt just past building). Some concrete pads but apparently do not allow you to stay in unless a quick overnight (we had reservations for 5 nights) and about 10 to 12 concrete sites were empty the whole time we were there. We were put in a dirt site that was underwater and over by their onsite sewer plant. I asked escort if we could move to a concrete site... Read More

We were put in a dirt site that was underwater and over by their onsite sewer plant. I asked escort if we could move to a concrete site due to all the water, and he said it is wet everywhere. Office staff was snippy and rude. There were more "stars", "underlines", and "circles" on the check-in map/rules than I have ever seen and not in a good way! Park is 90% permanent residents. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. There is nothing good about this park.

In reading reviews about Cowtown, it appears that folks love it or have experiences such as we encountered. The pool was unavailable when my granddaughter visited. We lost power the first few days, but it was resolved and we had no other problems with power. The bath/restrooms were very nice, large and clean. But, when a problem arises, the manager and one of the staff employees are disrespectful and accusatory when handling situations. In our experience, we specifically requested a one month stay... We lost power the first few days, but it was resolved and we had no other problems with power. The bath/restrooms were very nice, large and clean. But, when a problem arises, the manager and one of the staff employees are disrespectful and accusatory when handling situations. In our experience, we specifically requested a one month stay that would give us time to close on the sale of our home. We were told that it was not a problem. We would pay the weekly rate for the first two weeks and then they would transfer us to "extended stay" to take advantage of a lower rate for the remainder of the stay, applying our initial $392 to the monthly rate. After we had been there a week, we found out from another employee that they had no intention of moving us to "extended stay" because our RV was too heavy and their pads were old and were not reinforced to handle larger units. A night before the end of the first two weeks, we once again asked if there was an "extended stay" location available. The employee told us there was no way they could move us. We reminded her of what she had initially said and she called her supervisor to come take care of us. They both proceeded to talk to each other in front of us about how rude we were. Finally, the supervisor agreed that maybe there had been a misunderstanding and she was sorry it had been unclear. She was condescending and it was clear that she was trying to get us mad enough to leave. And we would have left if we had not had appointments the following day. We did not have time to make the transition to a location where customers are valued and treated with respect. Faced with no options, we paid another $392 for our next two weeks. We were so grateful the morning we were finally able to leave this location and we will NEVER return. We will not patronize a company that lies to and treats customers in the manner we encountered.

I would have given them a better rating but the management of this site was rude and threatening. When I made my reservation I indicated The year (1972) of my Airstream which is in excellent condition. Upon arrival the age of the trailer alone was given as a reason to not allow it at the site. I indicated that they were welcome to inspect it and that it was fully operational. I was allowed to stay but did not feel welcome. The sites are very small and tightly packed together. Great folks. Safe, clean, always feel welcome and at home.Great laundry, good spacing between sites. Best park in Fort Worth area.
Cowtown RV park is a great little park, perfect for those looking for place to stay close to Ft. Worth or one of the local lakes. The rates are excellent, and the facility is nicer then what I would expect for the money. During our stay, the park was pretty full, with only a handful of empty spots. Even though it appeared to be near capacity, it was exceptionally quiet, and quite frankly, forgot I was staying in an RV park until I walked outside. The grounds are well maintained and the staff... Even though it appeared to be near capacity, it was exceptionally quiet, and quite frankly, forgot I was staying in an RV park until I walked outside. The grounds are well maintained and the staff is not only friendly, but accommodating. There is a nice pool for the family and numerous dog runs for fluffy. This is a dig friendly park, and as such, many RVers here have a canine friend with them. This can be problematic if your Fido doesn't care for someone else's Spot, however, this is not a reflection upon the park. We will be back the next time we need to stay in this location.

Our stay here was very nice. The park is well maintained, clean, and overall peaceful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back.
We spent one night there, meeting friends after we had taken delivery of our new motor home. When contacting Cowtown, the people on the phone were very nice, and worked to accommodate a short notice schedule change necessitated by a medical issue. From that point things went downhill rapidly. When we did arrive, the entrance was nice and had concrete roads. Check in was uneventful, and we were assigned a pull through spot way back in the back. From that point things went downhill rapidly. When we did arrive, the entrance was nice and had concrete roads. Check in was uneventful, and we were assigned a pull through spot way back in the back. That, in itself wasn't an issue, but once we started back to our spot, we had go get off the concrete road. In the BEST terms I can come up with, the roads towards the back are horrible. Numerous potholes, muddy tracks (it had rained earlier that morning and all these potholes were filled with mud and water). When we were directed to our site, it was essentially a mud pit. It really wasn't something I wanted to be in with a new RV. Also, there was a tree on the curb side that was so close, I couldn't put the slide out. That necessitated backing up through the mud and repositioning the coach as far to the left as we could. Even with that, we couldn't put out the awning.
I was finally able to get the entry door into an area that did have some caliche and a little bit of grass so that we didn't track in mud every time we came inside.
We used the electric hookup, wi-fi, and the sewer. Their arrangement on our site made reaching one or the other difficult. If we pulled forward far enough to get to the electric, the sewer connection was out of reach behind the coach. IMHO, not a well thought out arrangement at all. Wi-fi was acceptable but slow.
Leaving the following day was another adventure in driving through muddy potholes. The exit drive was so muddy that in trying to avoid the potholes, I had to make a turn that had a large tree on the inside of the turn, and received a long limb scrape along the side of the coach.
In general, I was really disappointed with Cowtown RV. I have stayed in other Good Sam parks that didn't have as good ratings, but yet were much better kept than Cowtown. They need some serious work on their roads, and I understand that they couldn't do anything about the rain, but if they had decent roads, it would not have been an issue at all. I did speak to the guy at the office, and he said all he could do was give me back our money and we could go somewhere else.

Office attitude very rude. Landscaping too overgrown for big rigs. Tree branches scratched the side of my motor home and almost damaged my awning. This was after the attendant leading us made a point to tell me to swing wide. They put us on a concrete pad that was all broken up, when they had plenty of empty spaces with good pads. This space should have been used as a last resort.
Big Rig Friendly. Easy to move into and out of RV Park. Great WIFI. Enjoyed the cable TV service. Park is mature with plenty of shade trees. Staff friendly. Stayed one night. Relatively quiet place. Only negative is that the spaces are very close together- not much room to sit outside the RV and hangout.
