Dawson Creek is home of 'Mile 0' of the Alaska Highway. A metal statue of a surveyor welcomes you to the NAR Park where you will find the Mile Zero Cairn, Museum, DC Art Gallery & visitors centre. Just minutes from our park!
We camped one night at the Northern Lights RV Park the third week of May 2018. It's a large campground some may call a "parking lot" because it lacks trees and grass. Please note that this style of RV park is very typical for campgrounds this far north. Northern Lights is a very nice RV Park near Mile Post Zero on the Alaska Highway. Northern Lights is off the highway and was very easy to find. The RV Park is on a hill top with a beautiful view overlooking the countryside around Dawson Creek,... Read More

Northern Lights is off the highway and was very easy to find. The RV Park is on a hill top with a beautiful view overlooking the countryside around Dawson Creek, BC. Very friendly and helpful desk staff checked us in and took the time to show me where the showers, laundry and other facilities were located. We had no trouble maneuvering our 38 foot 5th wheel trailer through the park and into our campsite. We had water, sewer, 50 amp electric, cable TV and a decent Wifi signal in our campsite for $34 (USD) with our Good Sam discount. During our stay we used their excellent laundry facilities. Very quiet overnight. This is a popular campground on the Alaska Highway. You may want to consider reservations if you plan to camp here in the summer months. Next time passing through Dawson Creek again, I will definitely stop here again.

Excellent 3 night stop en route Alaska. Easy to find, on a hill overlooking Dawson Creek. RV wash nearby. Excellent laundry and both it and the restrooms are well maintained and CLEAN. Taking shoes off when entering was a little strange the first time, but then, that's one reason the laundry and restrooms are so clean I like it. Flip flops or sandals made that easier to accomplish. Sites are average to larger than average size. Easy pull throughs and no issue with slideouts or awnings. Caravans... Read More

A large town with plenty of retail, fuel and food opportunities. Check out the Alaska Highway museum in town. Well worth the small donation they ask for and the included video presentation is excellent. Eat dinner (drinks also) at Mike's steak house.

Very accommodating staff. We felt very welcomed. Sites a bit tight but doable. Did not enjoy taking shoes off when entering buildings.
We loved this family owned and run park. Ultra courteous and helpful people. The private bathroom/showers were immaculate. The cleanest we have ever seen. My wife also raved about the laundry room. The park overlooks Dawson Creek and the drive to Milepost Zero is only about 2 miles. One of the memorable highlights of our Alaska journey north. WiFi usable and good 4G 3 bar Verizon.
This is an easy stop when passing through Dawson Creek. It's a bit out of town, but convenient enough if you have a toad. Note that this is not a resort or campground. It is a gravel parking lot with services. Terribly dusty in the wind. Know what to expect and you'll be satisfied.
Very well maintained facility! Private bath/showers very nice and clean. Laundry equipment very clean and efficient! Nice location short distance from town. Would stay here again!
Friendly, clean and well maintained. RV space is typical and most of the sites are drive through. Much of the campground is gravel/rock and open. so although not as appealing as those with trees, the cleanliness of the entire space more than makes up for it. Although not easily within walking distance to town, access via the highway is very good. The bathrooms are very clean and the laundry is good size and very clean. No camp store for those who may rely on such for small items. We would... Read More

We would recommend this location for those who are not looking for pool, playground etc. but rather a very comfortable experience.

This campground is located very close to Dawson Creek. There are few trees and plenty of gravel with sites located fairly close together. My issue is that their paperwork states "if you need to exchange American currency to Canadian, we would be happy to do that for you in the office." When I needed change for my twenty dollar US bill, I was handed four Canadian five dollar bills. This is not an exchange, it is an instant profit of slightly more than $6.00 for them. When I needed change for my twenty dollar US bill, I was handed four Canadian five dollar bills. This is not an exchange, it is an instant profit of slightly more than $6.00 for them. When I asked to have the two Canadian fives "exchanged" for American I was told they don't deal with US Currency and only had my twenty in the drawer. This was not exactly how I expected to be treated at a Good Sam RV Park, Canadian or US. Perhaps they should have offered me $25 in Canadian and explained that they couldn't quite match the rate?
